Fort Royal Country House is a  small family run superior guesthouse on the edge of Loough Swilly surrounded by 17 acres of mature trees and lawns. including a 9 - Hole pitch & putt course & tennis court.  Dinner available Mon to Sat.  License to sell alcoholic drinks.

The hotel is situated in 18 privately owned acres of mature trees, gardens and lawns of which the front one leads right down to the beach. Fort Royal is also renowned for its award winning cuisine, friendly staff, comfortable bedrooms and lounges, and a very special home from home atmosphere. It is the perfect place to escape to for peace and tranquility, or as a base to explore the fascinating county of Donegal.

Accommodation: The hotel offers 11 well appointed bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and all but three have a view of the sea. They are all furnished to a level of comfort and taste as befitting a country house hotel.

Services & Facilities:

On the ground floor of the hotel are two lounges and the bar all with comfortable armchairs and log burning fires. The dining room is also on the ground floor.

The hotel has very good reputation for its fine cuisine, with the table d'hote dinner menu changing daily, depending on what raw ingredients are available and in season.

How to get there:
Take R245 from Letterkenny to Ramelton, then turn right at bridge and take R247 to Rathmullan. Hotel is a quarter mile through the village and is signposted.
