comments Recently, we have had the pleasure of our second stay at Renvyle House this year. The first was the self-induced hive of activity for our daughter's wedding, the most recent was pure chill out. This year and on all previous visits we have been meet and coddled in a "can do / will do" atmosphere that ensures the stay will be pleasant and calming, no matter the event. The wedding went off perfectly and all those practical issues that we, as serious planners, had forgotten were already in hand when we went "what about ....?" All our family and guests were blown away with Renvyle, as we were sure they would be. We really like arriving, to be met with familiarity of actually being remembered. The location, atmosphere, warm welcome, facilities, food & superb team of people will ensure that we are repeat visitors on a regular basis for a long time to come.

comments Checked in at six with two lovely turf fires lit in the reception. Stayed in room 9 Which could do with a good cleaning. The room had been cleaned but only very Quickly. Didn't like the fact I requested a double room and was put in to a triple Not very romantic. The restaurant was great and really enjoyed our meal Relaxing by the fire for the evening was just what we needed. Only disappointing this was the room.

comments I had wanted to stay in Renvyle house hotel for many years and was glad to finally get the opportunity to do so. Overall the staff were very accomodating and even cooked up specific food we gave them for our baby. I thought the hotel was very good for older children and provided alot of activities for them. I also thought the food cooked by chef Tim O'Sullivan was excellent. The only fault I could find was that I think the bedrooms could be updated particularly since it is expensive to stay there.

comments Returning for our 5th visit since our honeymoon in Sept 1960, to celebrate our 50th anniversary 9 months late, and staying at some excellent hotels in both the North & South of Ireland on our way, we feared that Renvyle would not live up to our memories. It did, and surpassed them! As always, the sign that we were entering a stress-free zone was indeed true. The food was excellent (thankfully not the quantities of cream of 50 years ago, when it had its own dairy!), service and staff friendly and efficient, the manager really good, mingling with and greeting everyone, which leads to guests likewise talking to each other. A great bonus was finding that the golf course had been returned to 9 holes, having been changed to 12 holes after the floods, with very unpleasant new ones for those who are holiday golfers. The Snooker Room and the Library still exist and there are books in every room, with a wide range of outdoor activities for those who want them, comfortable lounges for those who don't. The mixed weather didn't stop us doing anything we wanted and the views continue to enchant one.

comments This was out first time to stay at the Renvyle House Hotel. We had heard about if from friends and used the May bank holiday to try it out!. My wife sumarised it nicely "it has reopend my love for Connemara". We could not fault it. the Hotels location was tranquil, ambience very relaxing, food was excellent and room very cosy. It met all of our needs to wind down, chill and explore the beautiful countryside. (I dont normally reply to requests for feedback, but on this occasion, due to our positive experience, it is fair to do so). Thanks. Luke and Janet Carroll

comments we had a lovely stay at Renvyle House. The food was excellent & the room very comfortable. It was nice not having a television in the public areas. My only complaint was that some areas could do with a lick of paint & a few of the recreational facilities need upgrading eg the snooker table. However, I would have no problem in recommending Renvyle House & hopefully, we will have the opportunity of staying there in the not too distant future All the best, Fintan Grimes

From the minute I went into the lobby (another such word should be coined just to describe the Renvyle House Hotel lobby because it doesn't feel like any other lobby I've been in), my stress level reduced and a feeling of peace descended. comments I've stayed in contemporary hotels with whizz bang interiors, hotels with olde worlde charm, Irish hotels, French/Italian/Soanish/Greek etc etc hotels, hotels for business events, hotels for family outings, hotels for overnights stays, hotels for luxury escapes. Renvyle House remains my favourite always - its ambience, its historical associations with poets and writers. the landscape that embraces it, the diverse natural wonders of Renvyle's beaches and mountains and butts of hedges, the landscape traces of Stone Age hunters gatherers, the beauty of it all and of course the memories... Nowhere else compares.

comments Very impressed overall. This hotel is situated in beautiful surroundings with plenty of amenities such as golfing, tennis, boules, kiddies play area and during summer months a heated outdoor swimming pool alternatively if you just want to relax, reading by the open log fire or in their sunfilled conservatory is a lovely way to unwind. The standard of food in the restaurant is excellent and is worthy of their many awards. The staff in Renvyle House could not do enough for us,nothing was too much trouble. Whether you are looking for a active or relaxing break away Renvyle House Hotel provides a choice of both and I would highly reccomend it.

comments We had an excellent time in Renvyle House. The food was delicious; fresh fish and the dinner menu changed daily which was great. The scenery was out of this world - the atlantic ocean was on our doorsteps. I would definitely visit tis hotel again in the summer months. The golf course was also a bonus. We hardly left the hotel for the weekend as there was so much to do. WHen we arrived we found out there was a murder mystery weekend on which we didn't know about when booking but that just added to the good humour of everyone.

comments Renvyle House is one of my favourite places to get away for a few days. It has a magic all of its own, great food, lovely staff, and it really is a 'stress free zone'.

comments A fantastic stay in Renvyle House! Have stayed here 3 times now and it is a gem. The most relaxing place in Ireland. Staff are fantastic and take care of your every need with a smile Food is superb, if you like your food this is the place to go. We eat out a lot in Dublin and this is top class. Turf fires lighting all the time with comfortable armchairs, just chill and read etc. The setting is breathtaking, overlooking the Atlantic sea and surrounded by mountains and lakes, it's paradise. Favourite place in Ireland for a relaxing break! Old world charm hotel with lots of character. If you are looking for luxury bedrooms & bathrooms this is not the place for you. Rooms are very clean and comfortable but a little dated, but this just adds to the charm of the place!

comments lovely hotel in a fabulous location. warm and wecoming atmosphere. friendly staff. excellent food. one rainy evening we sat on a comfy couch by the turf open fire for about 4 hours, just chilling out, being served drinks from the bar and food from the restuarant without moving for the evening! pebble beach at the side of the hotel.... perfect for a walk after enjoying a top class meal in the restuarant. highly recommended.

comments Overall, our short break away was very relaxing. The food and the service at the hotel were excellent. However, our room was overlooking a building site where building work was going on during our stay. Drilling and maintenance work would start at 8.30/9.00am in the morning and continue all day. we did not look for a change of room because the hotel seemed full. We are aware that the hotel have to undergo renovation work and the no time is a good time for building in a hotel. However, it was slioghtly inconvenient. having said that, it did not take away from the relaxing atmosphere and panoramic scenery at Renvyle.

comments We really enjoyed our stay at Renvyle House. The room was big and comfortable, the bathroom fine. The hotel is full of cosy nooks and crannies and roaring turf fires. The food was outstanding! Dinner each night was an event and breakfast was served with as much attention to detail as dinner. We'll definitely be back.

comments Warm & welcoming staff, child friendly, relaxed atmospehere. Wonderful food and a lively bar with great music. A littel Oasis which rewards on every visit. One minor observation, the Childrens menu does not address fully the mature palate of old children, possibly half portions from the adult menu would rectify this.

comments It is an Oasis of peace and tranquility, very pleased with the accomodation and the Evening meals were really delious. Golf Course was unique, maybe the dry weather had damaged some of the greens, it is a trying Par 3,. One would feel so refreshed and relaxed after a stay there.
