The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. I'm in catering myself so it was lovely to meet such chatty staff. However, we found the hotel itself to be rather tired looking and in need of a uplift. The handle on the outside of the bathroom in our room came off in our hands and the carpet on the stairs is threadbare. Showers in the ladies changing rooms @ the pool also looked tired. The pool itself was GORGEOUS with hardly a hint of chlorine-just like swimming in fresh water-even though it was in it!The food was delicious too. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

Staff extremely helpful & friendly, facilities on offer great, food of a good quality & range, the only negatives were the bedroom was uncomfortably over heated for our comfort level & the t.v. had poor colour clarity on screen.

THE HOTEL WAS QUIET THERFOR DINNER WAS SERVED IN THE BAR, THERE WAS A MATCH ON AND IT WAS NOT RELAXING, WE HAD TO ASK FOR OUR ORDER TO BE TAKEN 30 MINUTES AFTER WE GOT THE MENUS WHICH WE ALSO HAD TO ASK FOR

We have stayed in The Maldron Hotel on many occasions and we also stayed here while it was the Quality Hotel. We have stayed here as a couple , as a family with our children and with friends and each time as been just as enjoyable as the last. We have recommended this hotel to other friends and family who also really enjoyed their stay. The only downside is we live in Dublin and we wish it was nearer to us so we could stay more often.

Bar layout was very poor as the bar food was being served in a corner of the bar making lots of noise every night until 10pm.
As there was lots of sport on tv every night including the football internationals and rugby matches on, the noise meant none of the games were enjoyed as they should have been.

Hot water in the sink in our bathroom was far too hot. The secone we turned on the tap hot water came gusghing out

We were delighted with the leisure facilities and the Family room really was huge!We also loved the idea of Breakfast going on until 11.00 as we were able to have a swim or gym workout beforehand and still have a sleep in. Creche was a very welcome idea for Friday and Saturday nights. Overall, the Hotel was the most Family friendly hotel we have ever been to!

I was extremely happy with my stay at the hotel. My children, aged 18mths and 4yrs, were delighted with the swimming pool and the facilities across the road, ie the cinema and bowling alley. The hotel appeared to be extremely busy - the lobby was constantly full of people and there was a delay for seating at meal times, particularly breakfast, however if you expect this you can plan around it. The room was very big and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally helpfull and friendly and I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling with children.

Lovely hotel but the amount of children who seemed to have the run of the place would put me off between messing in the lifts and roaring and shouting in the main reception.
