Hotel was very nice, clean and modern. Staff were very friendly and helpful.Noise coming from the nearby motorway was a distraction at times but not overly troublesome. All in all a nice 4star hotel which was good value on the package we bought

My husband and I stayed recently in a family room with our 2 boys (7 & 4). The room was spacious with 2 very comfortable beds and fantastic bathroom. Our weekend break included a dinner which we booked in The Tribes Restaurant for Saturday night. The meal was lovely with a good selection on the menu for both parents and children. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and hot. The staff at all times were friendly and professional. We used the swimming pool on Sunday morning and although not a large pool, it is the warmest pool we have ever been in which was a pleasure! We will definitely stay in this hotel again and I have recommended it to all my friends. Regards, Bernie

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The heating in our room was not working when we arrived- very cold we were upgraded straight away to an executive suite-beautiful couldn't fault the room except for the road noise outside early in the morning/got used to it. Didn't enjoy breakfast- the buffet type lots of people and children helping themselves, touching coughing and spluttering over the food. We have had this type of breakfast in other hotels but with our fry, tea and toast served to the table. We had a meal the night we arrived in the bar very busy great buzz about the place we waited quite a long time for a table and alot of the food was gone from the menu. The staff were really nice. We also had a meal in the restaurant it was delicious but very meagre. We had a voucher don't know if this had any bearing on the amount of food. The swimming pool was a little bit disappointing very narrow and small no jacuzzi and only one towel available when we left the pool I had to wait for my wife to finish with hers. The decor the staff the cleanliness the rooms were excellent there was a lovely atmosphere in the hotel.

The hotel is fab, great big comfortable bedrooms with luxury beds/bed linen. Very friendly staff. However our 2 male companions felt the dinners were not sufficient. We ate in the dining room on the first night and the bar on the second night and the same problem in both places, they ate desserts just to fill themselves up. However we would still go back to the Clayton!

Staff were friendly however on one stage entering the pool the pool attendant was napping in full view where public enter. Meals in restaurant seemed to be missing some of the items off the menu and the bar area seemed somewhat overstaffed.
