Myself and my family stayed at the Carlton Shearwater Ballinasloe recently. We have an absolutely fabulous time. In particular we found all the staff to be very helpful and pleasant which made a nice change. Overall I would give a rating of 4 taking a point off only because we found the temperate in the hotel to be cold at times, in the corridors etc. That was the only complaint we had during our weekend. We will definately be back. Natalie

Lovely new hotel, staff very friendly. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Very relaxing and great spa at the hotel with swimming pool. Great hotel just to chill out. Food very good in restaurant and bar and staff very professional. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and thought the rooms were of a high standard, i was however disappointed with the service in the restaurant at both breakfast and dinner ie have my tea and toast arrive after we had finished breakfast despite having asked for it three times.

We weren't told till 2 days before our arrival that the Leisure Centre was closed, we would have liked a bit more notice and could have rescheduled as it was the Leisure facilities that really appealed to us when we booked. However, your hotel is fabulous and very well run and we really enjoyed our time there.

This really is a beautiful hotel, however the spa and leisure centre were not open during our stay and although spa treatments were conducted off site no discount was given.
