We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gibson and were only sorry that it was so short. It was our first time to stay and it certainly won't be our last. The hotel is fabulous, absolutely love the decor and the staff are very courteous, friendly and helpful. All in all a very positive experience and I recommended the hotel to friends who have since stayed with you.

Fantastic hotel, rooms large and airy. Staff friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Yes the window in the bathroom was a little bizarre but not enough of an issue to make a difference to the experience. Great location for a weekend in Dublin. Would Definately recommend and will no doubt be a returning customer.

I stayed in a suite with my 13 year old daughter as we were going to the o2. The hotel couldn't have been any more conveniently located for a night in the o2 (literally steps away) and the Luas stop outside the hotel made it easy to get into the city centre and to heuston station. The room was spacious, clean and had every thing we needed. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Friendly staff. Would recommend this hotel for a trip to Dublin.

Hi there I booked this room for my parents and am completing this on behalf of them. The room was lovely and the staff were very pleasant. However the temperature in the room was very hot in the middle of the night. Also the sparkling water that was left on the table was very misleading in tha tyou would think it was complimentary. The breakfast option was very expensive (post Celtic Tiger) and perhaps if it was slightly cheaper alot more people would buy it.
All in all lovely hotel.
Thanks

My stay at the Gibson Hotel was lovely, staff were so friendly, the hotel was very convienient for us as it was just a skip away from the o2 where we had a concert. I would recommend this hotel to people not only going to a concert but for a girly day out as the luas is outside the front door where it brings you directly into the city centre and saves you on parking and stress. I will definetly be staying here in the future

My husband and I stayed recently in the Gibson Hotel and we would highly recommend this hotel. We booked a deluxe room and it was terrific, beautifully decorated, fantastic bathroom with a "wet room" shower. The decor was very relaxing and we would have to say it was one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in and we have travelled a lot. The staff were very friendly and the bar food is excellent. A great choice of breakfast in a very spacious restaurant with a lovely view of an internal garden. We will definately book this hotel and look forward to our next visit to Dublin. There is a luas stop right outside the hotel for taking you into town shopping!

Had a lovely experience. The funky layout was unique. The food in the restaurant was delicious and even the chef came out to enquire if we had enjoyed his dishes which was a nice touch. The rooms are exceptional large and thoroughly loved the heated floor in the bathroom, nice surprise. Staff were very friendly and helpful through out my stay. Will definitely suggest to friends to stay as easy to get in and out of town with the luas on the door step and will be back myself.

I stayed in the Gibson hotel last October the night of the Lady Gaga concert.
I really enjoyed my stay.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. The receptionist gave us a choice of rooms and recommended what one we might enjoy most. The bar man in the late bar was really friendly and chatty and the restaurant staff were also very friendly and made sure we got a table for food even though there was a 20 minute waiting time.
We had a fantastic room with a balcony overlooking the city.
Overall the Gibson is a really good hotel and I highly recommend it especially for anyone attending a concert in the O2.

I love the Gibson! We were in Dublin for one night and had dinner in the hotel which was excellent and fantiastic value for money. We ended up staying there for a few drinks and there was a great atmosphere in the bar. Very accessible to O Connell street with the Luas and easy to get into and out of via the port tunnel. It comes highly recommended from my girlfriend and I :)

Lovely brand new hotel. Room was very nice - spacious, good lighting, coffee machine, fridge (albeit empty!) and a huge balcony which couldn't really be used as it was very cold (stayed in January!). Visited the bar, staff very attentive. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on the food. Very convenient for the Luas and getting into town. Would like to stay again when the weather is nicer so we can use the outdoor areas like the terrace in the bar and the balcony in the room.

I stayed at the gibson last week for the 3rd time in the past few months and have always enjoyed it and its rates. I was disappointed last week that after requesting a courtyard view, my request wasn't granted & only realised that when we arrived in the room as it was the view of the opposite side. I went back to reception and was told they could not accomodate me although on arrival when speaking to the Receptionist she told me the hotel was quiet. Apart from this, the hotel was as good as previous times and although i will go again, i would expect with such a big hotel to be given the room view preferred. I have praised the gibson to several friends & family and since then at least 15 of them have stayed with you and all have been satisfied so all in all, that's a good report for you. Many thanks, Edwina.

our heat was not working when we arrived, but was quickly fixed, but found the hear hard to regulate, the tv in the bathroom was a lovely idea, but very loud , it was low in the bedroom and very loud in the bathrom and we could not control it. the hotel is lovely and staff very friendly and efficient, my only real complaint was the noise of residents on the corrider between 3 and 4 a.m. i spoke to other residents who said the same thing, one lady did not sleep after 4, because she had been woken up, by laughter and one couple fighting in the hallway.

We found the Reception very efficient and friendly, we found the rooms basic/clean and the beds very comfortable. The rooms were sound proof o we were not disturbed by other guests on a very busy night.
We were disappointed in the Restaurant and felt it needed some work. We ordered the pre show meal and felt it was bad value for money. The choice was poor/ the food tepid and the desserts scarce with little choice and no one maintaining the buffet counters with a full choice as per the menu.

The standard was better than we expected for the price per night. We were happy with our room, it was clean, neat and new. The only thing that was not satisfactory, there were no toiletries in the bathroom: soap, shampoo or gel - no face cloth when we arrived. But after we phoned through they were very apologetic and brought us the toiletries within 10 minutes. The bulb of the desk lamp was not working and we needed the lamp to work on our laptop. But reception was kind enough to supply us with another lamp. Breakfast was great. Thank you and we will be there again.

Beautiful hotel and great staff. Lost our tickets for the Arcade Fire concert
and received great help from hotel management. Only negative is when we
were switched from a non smoking triple room to a non smoking twin room
the room had been smoked in. Please keep the rates at 99.00 and I'll
always stay there for my Dublin trips.

Nice room but bathroom, towels and complimentary ,shower gels and shampoos were only enough for one person when 2 people were staying in the room.
reception check in and out was confusing with a rope but no directional indication and staff seemed to be taking random check in's as opposed to next in line.
Food was superb in the bar area and i would highly recommend it.
Bar prices were expensive and getting a drink at peak time was very frustrating.
Overall though the hotel is good and should employ more Irish people or people with better language skills to deal with Irish people at the hotel.

As this was booked as a birthday present for my husband. We just loved the location, the space in the room and the lights under the bed was a fantastic innovative idea for low lighting. When we booked the restaurant (on line) for his birthday meal, we did not know it was going to be self service buffet. However, my Husband and I were very impressed with the selection / taste of food available to us on the Italian buffet. However, we had one criticism, whilst eating in the restaurant. The door to the smoking area was left opened by customers, allowing the cold air and smoke to drift into the restaurant. Being a non-smoker this was unpleasant and made the restaurant extremely cold. The member of staff looking after our table was sympathetic and advised us there was a function on and it was unavoidable due to the current design of the restaurant. She also pointed out that the smoking facilities had more traffic then usual. She suggested we move tables but, this was only offered when we were at the end of our meal and extremely cold; so they provided us with a coffee on the house.......to warm us up?

Very good hotel, very well designed, with a really cool staff (considering I had issues with my credit card at check out, my bank mistake :P ).
I liked a lot the techno-Jazzy ambiance, particularly in the evening during dinner.
The location is also very useful, near the Dart terminus, that allow to go to Dublin center town really fast and cheap.
I really recommend this hotel if you want to visit Dublin for a week-end..
Maybe the room price can seems a little bit high, but the place deserves it

Third occasion staying at the hotel. As previous very high standards of
accomodation and service. Unfortunately we will not be back until the spa area is finished and were extremely disappointed that it wasstill not open. We also stayed on 7/10 and were promised both verbally and in writing that the spa was to be ready on that date.

Our stay at the gibson could not have been any better from start to finish we received a free upgrade due to my misunderstanding of the bill and not the hotels. We met all the stars from the show in the O2 who were staying in the same hotel and the staff were both friendly and extremely helpful.

Very nice hotel. Everyone one very friendly. Room is great.
Just one thing... as you are so far away from shops, cafes etc., and I arrived at 11:10pm... I had to go to may room to get some food. The bar was closed for food. At that stage after a long day, I just needed to relax in your lounge/bar with a snack.
Thanks, Mic.

I found the hotel and th4 staff to be very nice. However myself and my husband were attending the Andrea Bocelli concert and we spent from 6.00 - 6.45 waiting for a table in the bar restaurant and 6.45 - 7.35 waiting for our food. We were so hungry at this stage we stayed to eat the food and then barely got into the concert in time which started 10 mins late fortunately for us. The kitchen clearly could not deal with the volume of customers and it would have been nice to have known this at 6.00 so that we could eat elsewhere.

very nice hotel perfect for anyone going to the point...however the only bad mark against this hotel is that when i tried to book a family room the max age for a child was 12. It is such a pity that they dont allow 4 people in a room and such a shame that such a good hotel would not support families with older children. i ended up booking another hotel close to the point and they could accomodate 4 people. Hopefully they might change their policy because in the present economic climate they cannot afford to be turning away potential customers.

We stayed there on a very busy concert night. Initially it looked as if the staff at reception, bars and restuarants would be overwhemled by the sheer volume of people. They coped and coped well simply by keeping everyone informed of likley delays / options. On way out, I even noticed the doorman was playing his part by only allowing residents into the hotel. Staff competent and plesant. Well done Gibson.

My stay at the Gibson Hotel was extremely good, from arrival to departure. Food was excellent, Room had everything that you would require. Very clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. If i could just mention one person in particular it was the girl who checked us out - I asked her for directions South, I did not want to go to the City - she gave me the best instructions I every got. Thankfully I got home without any problems. I would love to stay in the Gibson again but for a longer stay. Thanks to all . Sarah Morrison

It was our first time staying at The Gibson. We booked it because we were going to a concert at the O2 so just booked it for it's convenience but from the moment we arrived it was fantastic. We parked in the multi storey car park which was bright and spacious. Check in was quick, friendly and efficent. The room was gorgeous with a balcony which wasn't expected. We had lovely bar food before the concert and then just a quick stroll across the courtyard to the O2. After the gig we returned to the bar in The Gibson which had lots of people there so had a good atomsphere. We were also offered a menu of 'night bites' which was great. We will definately stay here again but not only for concerts as the Luas stops outside hotel it is fantastic for shopping in Dublin too.

Great room, great location, great pint of guiness. On the downside bar staff were disinterested when enquiring about particular drinks, the whole hotel had no pernod, and staff concentrated their serving efforts down one side of the bar ending up with a disproportionate service to that side of the bar.

Staff helpful and friendly; room comfortable; door in shower not tight- fitting enough so a lot of water on bathroom floor.
Resident's bar not very welcoming, would be good if it had a cosier feel (maybe with plants etc.). Couldn't get a latte there because machine wasn't working, got not very good coffee instead.
We liked the restaurant / bar area but found it rather draughty - this may have been because the weather was particularly stormy that weekend.

The only bad thing was the fact that to use the vending machine you had to give a credit card before you could use it. I don't own a credit card and neither did my friend and we were staerving after we came back from the gig. But other than that it was an amazing stay :)

The Gibson Hotel was a first class hotel, ideal for venues at the O2 but also having easy access to Dublin city centre. It was modern, chic, and a totally different experience to other hotels. Service and food was excellent and I would say unbeatable for value for money. I loved the decor and atmosphere and the fact that you could get access to most amenities 24 hours a day was a huge bonus point for me. The staff were friendly and efficient - I think the longest time I had sat down before someone came over offering food/drinks was 5 minutes. I also liked the fact that you could almost sit where you wanted to without being locked into a specific restaurant area. Two things the hotel could do with. A swimming pool area and mini bar in the room. Otherwise perfect and I would 100% recommend to anyone going to Dublin to stay.

Great location for O2 concerts. Fantastic rooms, facilities and staff. Very comfortable beds. Loved the little market outside where fabulous local food is sold. Only downside was that our email said we could check in at 10am but when we arrived at 1pm the previous occupant had just checked out and we had to wait over an hour. I think allowing flexibility on check out is great if you have capacity but if rooms are booked for the next day then a set check in and check out time would be preferable. I would rather know not to turn up until 2pm than turn up expecting to check in and be told to wait. We had been travelling from Scotland since 5.30am and needed a rest before the concert we had booked so we did feel a bit disappointed at having to wait. The upside was that the staff were as helpful as they could be in the situation, storing our bags so that we had the freedom to go out if we wanted. I felt it was the hotel policy of allowing late check out in rooms that are allocated to someone else that day, rather than the check-in staff, that caused the problem. Overall a very comfortable, enjoyable stay and we would definitely use the hotel again.

The staff were extremely friendly & the location is fantastic. My only complaint & that of the girls that stayed with me was the fact that you could see into the bathrooms from the room. They lacked privacy. Other than that we couldn't fault the hotel.

The hotel is very contemporary & our stay was very enjoyable. The hotel was quiet when we stayed ( Sun & Mon). Not a lot to do in the imediate vinicity of the hotel but the Luas is on your doorstep. My only criticism was that the breakfast, which was buffet style, was cold on both mornings

The only problem we had was when we went down to the bar for something to eat, we were sitting at a table for at 15mins at least before anyone had approached us to order our food or even a drink! One of us went up to a member of staff after sitting there for 10 mins and asked for someone to take our order she said she would send someone over, still had to wait another good 5 mins or more for a member of staff to come over. Yes it was very busy at that time but we observed at least 4 members of staff walking up and down trying to look busy but yet we still had to wait nearly 15 mins or more for our order to be taken. Then when someone eventually did come over we were told we were looking at the wrong menu, he went and got us that evenings menu as he told us because of the concert that a quicker food menu was on that evening. When he came back the menu was the same accept the name of the dishes had changed a tiny bit which to us was a waste of our time while he done that, as our food orders could have been taken and in the kitchen for the kitchen staff to get ready. We were attending the concert that night so we understood it was busy but when we had seen staff walking around trying to look busy and we patiently sitting there without even a drink we were getting really impatient. the hotel itself is lovely and the rooms are really nice, Like the fact that the shower is an actual shower and not a shower over a bath, (safer). I did also really like the idea of the light under the bed good for getting up during the night and not walking into things trying to find the bathroom, a little bit too bright for me but didn't bother my sister she was snoring away. Nice friendly staff at reception.

Had a pleasant stay at the hotel, it is in a great location & facilities and rooms are excellent. however, one issue we were disappointed in was after returning from our day out and back to the hotel at 6pm, the room was only being cleaned/tied up, this was way too late and we needed to get changed to head back out for dinner. this is certainly an area that needs improvement

My sister-in-law and I stayed here for the Lady GaGa concert on Oct 29th. We were so impressed by the location of the hotel. A Luas stop right at the door and a minutes walk from the 02. The room was very new and spotless and the staff were very friendly and professional at all times. We ate in the bar before the concert and you could not fault it. Would stay here again for sure if I was attending a concert at the 02.

Okay stay, nice & close to 02. For a 4 star hotel staff could be a bit more polished all round. Reception was okay. When we returned after concert we were looking for something to eat & staff recommended us to go our room & order room service! Bar staff were complainig about serving customers. Went to our room as suggested to get food ( not really how we had planned on the night going) had to wait an hour for room service
& the porter that delivered the food had to root thru his wallet for change which he didn't have! Also got an early morning wake up call by a staff member knocking on our door continuously!!! When I opened door they didn't even apologise but just ran off down the hall.

Stayed recently at the Gibson hotel and loved the airy bright style of the hotel.. The standard rooms overlooking the garden /courtyard have some nice features.. a deep shelf behind the bed in lieu of bedside lockers so glasses papers etc can be popped away when settling down to sleep or whatever.
the window has a balcony feel to the way the top section of part of window can be fullly opened ..
the aircon really works .
and the bathroom has a good double sized walk in shower
We did not eat in the hotel but had coffee (a little brownie complimentary ) and a drink in bar and were happy with service
reception staff we found very helpful offering newspapers and possibilty of late check out (sunday morning)
we did not eat in hotel so cannot comment on that but menu seemed fine for casual dining
Almost within touching distance from Point/O2 music /show venue
Some regeneration in the area has stalled so some views not all that "tidy" but higher rooms could give good views of the city which can be seen from reception and bar (on third floor)
Relaxation (spa style?) area not yet opened but expected soon
we did not check out gym
Luas light rail just outside the door to go uptown but we found a nice wine bar/restaurant locally ..... some places closed at weekend due to financial district monday to friday business
There was a market ...food (take away farmers market and to bring home) and bric a brack on both sat and sun when we were there outside hotel
Will be back soon

You should have an answer phone . The BBQ tea was great as we were in a hurry to the concert. Breakfast was fab. Room was lovely. Missed a bath though!!I really enjoyed it.

The only downfall is that when i went to pay, i couldnt pay with the card that i had booked the room with, unless i had it with me. I had to use another card. It would be much easier to be able to pay with the card that u booked with. It is an absolutely fantastic looking hotel, and the rooms are very homely. I would recommend the Gibson Hotel in the future, and i will most certainly be returning myself.

I was absolutly surprised when I entered the hotel and saw how modern and new it was, while I was in the hotel, I used the word "cool" many times. The speakers in the toilet, the lights under the bed, the flatscreen tv, it was all just a pleasure to stay here. And as I was seeing Lady Gaga that day, it was so convenient to be at the Gibson! I would be surprised if the O2 bought this hotel in the future.

Beautiful, modern, stylish hotel. Myself and my 13 year old daughter stayed here for the night of the Lady Gaga concert in the O2. It was a great night and the hotel is literally a skip across to the venue with the Luas terminus bang outside the door. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful and surprisingly spacious. The bar and restaurant area was very stylish but comfortable with great views of the O2 and of the river area. The food in the bar was really good and although very busy due to the concert there was a barbecue with salads and baked potatoes which really sped up the process. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Altogether it was a great experience and would definitely stay again even if not attending a concert as it is a great location with the Luas right outside the door. There were just two negative points I would wish to make. The first was the online booking description of the package which made out that it was an O2 experience package and there would be no need to queue. Never having seen the hotel before I assumed there was some extra treatment laid on as the website directed you to the O2 booking rather than the normal one. The girl at check in knew nothing about it and I presume now that it is just a ploy by the hotel to find out the numbers of guests using the hotel in conjunction with concert venue. I found the description a little deceptive. The only other fault I found was in the design of the room. In the bathroom there is a fabulously large shower with choice of shower heads and a seating area at one end. Unfortunately there is a lovely glass panel at this end which affords views into the main room. So if you are lying in bed and you feel like it you can look into the shower and through to the bathroom. I know some might like this but my teenage daughter was not impressed!!!

My wife and I are regular travellers to Dublin to visit our son and we normally stay at The Jurys Inn Custom House Square. We thought we would try The Gibson Hotel, as it is brand new and next to The O2 aka The Point. We will definitely be back. The hotel had a good feel to it, rooms excellent, bar very good and it is on 3rd floor which meant that the views were better. Also The LUAS tram stops right outside the hotel. I would thouroughly recommend the hotel

The stay was fantastic however i was not made aware during checking that i needed to validate my parking card each day before i left the car park to get the reduced fee. it was only when checking out that i was informed that they can validate teh card. as a result i paid the full E30 price on saturday to remove my car from the car park.
i understand this info is available on the web site however in my case i didnt see it prior to staying with you. it would only take 5mins to discuss at arrival and i feel it will improve the whole process

layout and room decor was very modern and nice. The bed was very comfortable and really loved the shower in the bathroom. I liked the large shower unit and especially the choice of the large overhead shower head or the strong head on the wall. Check in was very easy with no delays and a nice and warm welcome from the staff. I thought the glass view from the reception floor looking out over dublin was beautiful. I would prefer if car parking was included in the price or else it should be a lot less than 14 euro daily rate.

The location of the hotel was ideal for my wife and myself as we were going to a function close to the Gibson Hotel. Is the most modern hotel I ever stayed in. The bed rooms, lounge and dining areas were excellent. There is also excellent service from the staff that are present at reception and at the bar. Again well done to this new hotel.

Great hotel, we really enjoyed our stay! Excellent service, nice style and vibe to the place! Only one thing, on our online booking we had booked a smoking room and once checked in realised we'd a non-smoking room, maybe something to watch but not a big deal!

We stayed for two nights and had a really nice stay at the Gibson Hotel. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were bright and airy and very big. The hotel is close to a lot of restaurants and bars and just across the road from the 02. The only disappointing part of our stay was when we ordered breakfast in our room - the cereal was missing the yogurt was warm and the cold meat and cheese was stale as if it had been left out of the fridge all night. Other than that we had a really nice stay and we look forward to a return visit (without breakfast).

The hotel and the room are beautiful, modern and clean. The staff is very kind and professional but we had a problem: at about seven o'clock in the morning in the room near ours (319) there were men at work making a terrible noise...so we couldn't sleep anymore... we expected some excused or a price reduction.

i thought that the hotel was absolutely gorgeous, i would definitely stay there again, as i was going to a concert it is perfect to say the least and with the luas just at your feet, what else do you need!
my only downfall was the breakfast, it was a bit too pricey, i thought that there would be a bit more choice in what we could get and maybe a less price than the whole deal.
other than that everything else was fine.

Please, please close off the window from the bathroom into the bedroom, thankfully I spent my time there with my hubby, if I was with some girlfriends I would not want to stay due to the lack of privacy. Don't go to the bathroom during the night, turn on the light and hey presto everyone is awake, bad design. Love the bedroom, cosy night sleep, the silence is brill, love the food, service is brill, locaiton fantastic together with parking...loose the window in the bedroom please....other friends that stayed loved it but berated your hotel because of the window....no privacy...after all if you can't have privacy in the loo...certainly wouldn't go there with my mum or friends...pity because I loved everything else about your hotel. Oh yeah need to make it pretty obvious where the line is to check out...small thing but maddening when you queue behind the rope and others go ahead by standing behind people been served at the desk and get checked out before you do....service great, lovely people, love the convience of the car park and close proximity to the O2....going again in Nov... but my teenage son is with us....forget it with those glass windows, pity...

The hotel is brand spanking new so everything is clean, modern and funky! Our Jr Suite was clean and comfortable, fab toiletries and a fantastic coffee making machine! I would definatlely recommend this hotel.

I loved my stay at The Gibson Hotel, the rooms and the hotel is beautiful. I loved the feel of the hotel with the courtyard off the bedroom, it didnt feel like you were in the middle of the city. the girl that checked us in was very friendly and we had lunch in the bar which was fantastic. Th only downfall was breakfast, as the food was cold, not topped up and there wasnt a good selection for €15 p.p, we got offered no tea/coffee or toast. It could be better and then there was a large que to checkout at 12pm that morning, which maybe the people like myself who had paid on check in might get an express counter and might help the waiting around. Otherwise not dwelling on the negative, I'll definately will be back. Thank you for a great weekend break.

Ideally situated next to the recently refurbished 02 in the Point Village area of Dublin. We decided to book here for convenience for a gig. Access is easy by car and as it is located on the quays of Dublin with a LUAS stop (terminal) just outside the hotel entrance! We drove as we are visitors to Dublin. The ample car parking undergound had a convenient lift connection to the reception area on the third floor. Very handy with baggage and if you have small children with you.
Reception was warm and friendly. Rooms wre modern, minimal and chic. Great choice for breakfast the following morning, from the hearty fry to fresh fruit and cold meats.
Overall, I was very inpressed and booked again for a girlie break at the end of this month! Hurrah for a decent hotel with proper facilities so close to the O2. Far superior experience to other hotels on the quays. ( As I advised on Tripadvisor recently).

The Gibson Hotel is ideally located at the end of the Port Tunnel, perfect for anyone travelling down from the North, and is in within easy walking distance of the Aviva Stadium (20 min stroll). Would be even better for O2 or new Grand Canal Theatre. Staff are friendly, Food excellent - including Buffet style Breakfast, Rooms - fresh, clean, modern and the superior room on 6th floor has a terrific balcony with splendid views, huge shower cubicle (no bath though, if you are looking to lounge in one!), Barman, Andrew, was both efficient and great craic! Carparking below the hotel, with lift to reception was great. Will definitely return! Just a few points I would comment on 1. Better external signage directing to Carpark - go there first, no need to drive around the roadworks diversions to the front of the Hotel; 2 Waiting staff in lounge in the evening took quite some time to serve tables furthest from the bar, continually serving those tables closer, and not noticing tables with no drinks.
Look forward to returning when the Relxation room and the Al a Carte restaurant are open!
Will definitely recommend to friends.

The staff at the hotel are extremely helpful and polite. However the hotel has many teething problems - poor service in food area as I feel they were understaffed on the night we stayed prior to the M Buble concert. Also rates are high considering these recessionary times - E200 for double room - no breakfast. Rooms are v nice - our air conditioning was not working but staff were extremely helpful and eventually gave us a heater for the room.

Room very clean and bright. Contemporary decor a delight. Good value for money. Hotel food nice. Confusion at check out as staff inviting hotel guests from two different queues. Really difficult to organise taxis in an orderly manner. Only gripe arrived back at hotel 10 minutes after last food orders in the bar (was at Michael Buble concert and had to walk home from venue as no taxis for love nor money) Staff unable to accommodate a light snack for my 11 year old who was froze to the bone. Disappointing end to a great night.

I enjoyed my stay in the Gibson in particular I found the staff extremlely polite and friendly even though they were under pressure as it was the weekend of the Michael Buble concert. I would have liked to have had a opportunity to speak to the manager to highlight how much I was impressed with the staff but I never got a chance which was totally my fault as they were always around.
Food is very nice and breakfast buffet was plentiful and warm..
It is a great location with the luas outside the door and the weekend fair outside was a really nice touch also..
thanks for a lovely stay...

Great stay at the Gibson, rooms were lovely and breakfast was good also. Only two very tiny observations:- 1) background music during breakfast was too loud - needs to be more mellow and at a lower volume. 2) soap in the ensuite was bad quality, did not use any of the other toiletries.
Would definitely use the Gibson again and would recommend to others.

Although we did have to wait for about 20 minutes in a Q to check in, we were offered tea/coffee and a friendly welcome. It was a great sign to see a place so busy. the hotel iteself was very clean and the room was no different. It is excellently located and within easy reach of all major attractions. If going to the o2, it could not be any better. just easy to reach from the Port Tunnel. We had bar food, which was only ok. Nothing special, but service was great. All in all would definately recommend this hotel.

My overall impression of the hotel was a good one . I and and my 2 friends enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Great facilities, bar, restaurant, WI-FI the works all Lovely and clean. The staff wore very friendly couldn't do enough to help us. The only hick up was the Que to both check in and out of the hotel. In away this could be forgiven with it being newly opened their still a few things to be ironed out. All in all I really enjoyed my stay at the Gibson Hotel so much so, on check out I have re-booked another visit in a few months.

the hotel was really nice, room was lovely the only downfall was the charge for the car park with the hotel being costly enough for the room i think it would of been better service if there was no charge for the car park.

Nice enough, very business-like but soulless. Akin to staying in a five star warehouse. 15 Euro for breakfast, and it's self-serve rubbery rubbish with no choice of eggs, that's unforgivable in a 4 star hotel. I've had better in a 25Euro a night B&B.

We stayed in the Gibson for one night on a cycle trip from Belfast to Dublin, and the hotel staff were very accomodating to my request to store our bicycles in the hotel over night. The door man and reception staff did not could not have been more helpful. The room and bathroom were excellent.
We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and were extremely happy with the food and service provided.
Thanks for a great stay and i will recommend the hotel to my friends.

I enjoyed my recent stay at the Gibson Hotel, and was most impressed by the decor and artwork that graces the walls there. I thought the service was very good, everyone was helpful and polite. I have a few complaints, however. I found that the sound of the television in the bathroom was way too loud, and it was irritating that I could not turn it down. It just seems odd that you wouldn't allow guests to have control over that. Also, while it's a cool design the window that looks out from the bathroom into the bedroom is incredibly short-sighted; whenever you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and turn on the light, it shines RIGHT into the bedroom, right where your partner's head would be! There needs to be some sort of curtain or shade there.
I already filled out a comment card regarding the food, which I found to be mediocre. The dim sum, which I ate at the bar, was very good. However my room service Gibson Burger was absolutely terrible. The meat was way overcooked, dry and the "fries" were ridiculously HUGE. It was essentially two potatoes that had been cut into four and deep fried. There is seemingly no thought put into a dish such as this and quite frankly it didn't taste good at all. I left most of it. I should note that I am a food and travel journalist, so perhaps I am more picky than others but I think a burger of that size should be served with thin fries, and guests should be asked how they like their burger cooked (no one asked and mine was the texture of beef jerky).
All that said, I'd happily stay at the Gibson again - the rooms were very nice and I liked the size. The location is convenient and it's nice to be out of the city center. I look forward to staying again after the teething pains are dealt with.
Best,
Clare Kleinedler

A first class hotel. The rooms were very comfortable with plenty of space and a big, luxurious shower. The staff were friendly and very professional. They went out of their way to be welcoming and to fix any issues I had. The hotel is a bit out of town, but public transport runs literally to the front door of the hotel, and the center of the city is about a 10-15 minute walk. All in all, this was a really nice hotel that gave me the opportunity to relax in a wonderful atmosphere.

We stayed with the Gibson Hotel to attend a concert and it is in the perfect location for such an event. The Luas is right outside the front door of the hotel and it only takes 10mins to reach the city centre. Initially I was disappointed with the room service as it took an hour to arrive but in saying that we were given our order complimentary which I can safely say I have never experienced anything complimentary with regards to room service being late and I have stayed in A LOT of hotels. I was very impressed with the staff and how efficiently they handled all our needs. We also enjoyed the culinary delights to be had in the fabulous open air beautifully decorated restaurant. I especially enjoyed my oysters. I love to work out and I have to say I was delighted with the gym and I loved the fact it was 24 hours so I could work-out when it suited me. All the equipment was state of the art with T.V.'s on all the treadmills and sky walkers to keep me entertained. All in all we had a wonderful time with Gibson Hotel and the staff were so polite and a pleasure to deal with. I would most certainly be staying with the Gibson Hotel on my next trip to Dublin.

The Gibson Hotel was a breath of fresh air after all the traditional places we had stayed in during our visit to Ireland, beautiful accomodation .. and with opening windows. The staff were extremely helpful, the tram/rail link was fantastic - only 3-4 minutes to get to the city centre and we were particularly impressed with the complimentary access to your business centre. Ideally located for us to taxi to the ferry terminal - we would definitely recommend your hotel to both holiday and business clients.

The Gibson Hotel is in a perfect location for myself who travelled from donegal I didn't have to get on friday evening traffic with the M1 and port tunnell. The hotel itself is of a high standard rooms well finished, friendly staff and its extremely clean however I choose this hotel as I got good deal off €99 per room per night but I had my jeep and my boyfriend had his jeep as he was working in wexford on friday and saturday, our car parking fees were nearly €90 for the weekend as the girl in reception if we're taking our vehicles in and out alot it would work out cheaper to pay in the car park instead off paying the €14. I will not be returning to the hotel for this reason. I thought I was gettin a good deal but it turned out a robbery. Kind regards

The look and feel of the hotel is fantastic, very modern open and airy. It is spotless with fantastic design.
In the Hemidemisemiquaver bar (yes it really is called that) you get the most scrummy bite sized brownie made in house by the pastry chef served with your coffee which beats those awfull little shrink wrapped biscuit most hotels offer, this is a nice touch.
The rooms are bright and modern with all mod cons, the bathroom has a shower that could fit 4 people, it has a rain shower and a standard power shower, there are speakers in the bathroom connected with the flat screen TV.
The bedrooms have airconditioning with floor to celing windows, there are 2 sets of curtains which provide total darkness, there are lights under the bed which are fantastic to leave on at night and doesn't interfere with your sleep or the light in the room.
You get tea/coffee making facilities a proper sized hairdryer and iron, there is a towling robe and slippers in the wardrobe.
I know the hotel is only open a short time and I can see there are a few things to complete and some of the staff are new and a little unsure but with impecable manners and customer service so that is the only reason I'm giving a 4 instead of a 5 this hotel is truely top of its game and will win alot of awards. The location is fantastic also with the O2 less than 100 meters away and the luas on its door step and secure carpark under the hotel.

Kept ringing door bell in underground carpark but got no reply. Had to wait until somebody was leaving hotel to gain access. Asked at reception for a small piece of sellotape but was told that they had none. Found it strange that a very expensive looking hotel had no sellotape. Beatiful hotel. Staff were excellent both at reception and in the bar. Room was exceptional. Booked again for All Ireland weekend and found myself paying 70 euro more for a room. I realise it is a busy weekend but this is exploiting potentially good customers. Doors to fuse boxes in hallways are a potential safety hazzaerd to young children. The handles stick out from the doors and could seriously injure a young child.

I had a most enjoyable stay at the Gibson. The rooms are really well finished, and we stayed on the sixth floor overlooking the River Liffy and the area of Dublin city beyond. The tram is right outside the front door to the hotel and gives great access to the city centre and places to go in Dublin. The tram rate is very reasonable and you can upgrade for a daily ticket which also covers use on the buses. I would definately recoomend the hotel and would stay here again.

The care and attention to detail was fantastic in almost every area. The overall ambience was amazing. The hidden terraces and gardens were wonderful. I had a 3rd floor courtyard room it was lovely to have the greenery just outside the window. Shower room was large and well designed.Would definately use the Gibson again. I didn't give 5 because the piped music was too loud for 7.30am, I wanted a peaceful breakfast. The enormous and heavy bedroom curtains were difficult to open and close. The window between the shower and bedroom is a great design feature but loses it's appeal when your partner needs a light to use the toilet in the middle of the night.Tiny points but this is a brand new hotel.
There is easy access to Dublin centre on the new tram.
I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

The parking fee of €14 was a surprise3.The glass panel between the bathroom and bed room casts light into the sleeper in the bedroom when the light is turned on in the bathroom. 4.Finally it is not clear from the hotel info provided in the room if it is possible to turn off the TV sound in the bathroom. Thanks and Good luck with your venture.

The location of the hotel is on the door step of the O2 and docklands area, with the dart now droping you of at the door this is a very convenent hotel to stay for visiting Dublin. The Hotel has been done to a very comftable standard, the rooms are of a good size and have a very modern feel about them, the bed was extremely comftable. The bar area was very busy and had a great atmosphere for a hotel bar. Would recommend this hotel as base for touring around Dublin, Weekend break or for business use. Staff very friendly and approachable, and for the first time in ages was greated by a national of the country at reception and in the bar, this was a highlite for me and would recommend that other hotels follow suit

I've recommended the Gibson on Tripadvisor - these are my comments.
Really impressed with the Gibson. Great room, plenty of space, quiet rooms. Staff were excellent in all areas and we really enjoyed the food, wine, music and atmosphere in the bar.
The Luas really is just outside the door and this makes it a very easy location to get to. We enjoyed it and will certainly be back.

The friendliness of the staff was to be commended especially Dereck ang Nichole iwho served us in the bar. The room was lovely however when I booked the website specified bath and shower but our en-suite had a shower wet area only. I think it would also be a nice gesture to provide small bowls of nuts etc. as nibbles in the bar. The bar food was lovely though the menu is limited. Breakfast was top class and really set us up for the day. The hotel is in a great location with the LUAS right outside the door so you can be guaranteed a quiet nights sleep away from the city centre while also only being 5 mins away from the buzz of the city.

very comfortable and clean room. shame tea making facilities not in rooms until second eve, having to run down to visitiors lounge before then for a drink was not fun. otherwise a good stay and would recommend. shame one of the post outside on balcony was placed in wrong position so outside door would not open fully, but not hotel staff fault.

I found parking was badly signposted&badly explained on the website. When i phoned to enquire about the parking the lady was quite rude& also failed to mention that the parking is in "the point village" car park which is signposted. this bit of information would have saved alot of stress driving round looking for "Gibson Hotel" parking.
The rooms were perfect, the restaurant/bar/breakfast were all excellent. really great location!

My stay at the Gibson Hotel was very positive. Bar and restaurant area are lovely. The balcony area is very nice for anyone who wishes to have a smoke or just enjoy the third floor view. The bedroom is lovely, bed lovley to sleep in and sliding door opens onto a balcony. The only negitave thing i have to say is the shower is not very powerful, its a beautiful big shower but disappointing water power. The luas is very hand to get into town and back again. Overall good experience.

Not impressed at having to pay €14 for parking, in a car park which can be accessed from the hotel via a lift...I know this is a subsidsed rate for hotel guests butIi really feel if you have paid to stay in a hotel it should be free to park there.

Had a beautiful stay at The Gibson. A real addition to the Dublin Hotel schemeonly one issue ordered a mojito from the bar and it was of a very poor standard. Too much alcohol, no refreshing zest of lime or mint. If your going to run a cocktail menu make sure your bar staff can make them. Everthing else was superb can't wait to have an excuse to go back and stay.

We had an enjoyable stay. We took into account that the hotel had just opened. The room was spacious and most things worked. Staff were polite and helpful.
The negatives - Air con was noisy and ineffective - leaving the door to the balcony open gave better ventilation. The fridge was too big for its space and had nothing in it. There was what looked like a low delivery tressle in the room. The wardrobes had a dusty smell. The table in teh sitting area was too small - many who will use this room will be on business and need space to work - even for two of us eating a meal it was too small.
Overall we were happy and good luck with the venture.

This is a newly opened hotel and not all services are as yet in place. Sinead on reception was extremely helpful and dealt most efficiently with any issues that I did have. The car park underneath the hotel is bright, airy and spacious and extremely convenient for parking. One has just to step out of the hotel and on to the Luas which makes the city centre convenient and very accessible. The bedrooms are bright, modern and welcoming. Many of the bedrooms are inward facing over a central garden, however our room on the top floor overlooked the O2 and the riverfront giving us a panaromic view out towards Dun Laoghaire.
Unlike some of the other city centre hotels where passing traffic can be an intrusion, this hotel is in an extremely tranquil setting.
I would definately stay there again and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a central convenient location.

we enjoyed our stay at the Gibson Hotel, The room was spacious, modern, and comfortable. The brekfast was very good. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. At the time of our stay the rooms did not have tea, coffee facility which was inconvenient, it was to be supplied at reception, which was a havoc, as with the number of people the service of this facility left alot to be desired. It could have been managed better. It was poorly attended to.
The bar was caotic after the O2 show, It seemed to have plenty of staff, but was poorly organized as regard serving customers. They will surely get it right in time.

The Hotel is obviously unfinished .Reception on the 3rd floor is strange. No coffee or tea in the rooms due to equipment not arrived.Note in room to say coffee and tea available at the reception area on a 24hr basis .I tried in the evening no coffee available and no staff in bar area, same story following morning.Very unhappy with getting Upper Circle seats for the show Chitty Chitty Bang Bang I would not take my children to the Upper Circle as it is too far from the stage.I also considered that 40 euro each for childrens tickets was excessive. The Hotel will be nice when it is finished, the staff in the Hotel were very kind and helpfull we had a very nice breakfast and look forward to returning to the Hotel when it is finished. We wil not book a package deal unless we know where the theatre seating is located. But we would love to return to see a good concert in the O2.Many thanks to your staff they made our stay worthwhile.Look forward to seeing you again .Oh, we also enjoyed our excursion on the Wheel Sunday morning

Being in the hospitality trade, I usually notice everything & it takes alot to impress me. On my recent visit to The Gibson, as a new hote I expected the rooms to be good, I wasn't disappointed. Great shower/wet room, cosy bed aswell as all the usuals.
What impressed me most was the professional, friendly, effecient team, I was amazed at how friendly & helpful all the staff that I encontered were, it seemed like it was a team that had been really well trained & together for years although the hotel is only 2 months old. A special word of thanks to Brian on nights & Po one of the porters.
Well done to all & keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Short but very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The hotel itself is very stylish, rooms are fantastically bright and airy and my room was huge with a really comfortable bed. Very quiet and convenient location. For a very new hotel we experienced no teething problems. From the three people who stayed on this occasion the overwhelming consensus was that we would stay here again. Great value too.

I really enjoyed my stay in the Gibson over all the room was lovely and i really liked that the room had a balcony. The staff were very friendly and seemed really happy to help and location was great.
there were just a few little problems with the room the plant in the room was dead and there was no tea making facilities but i was happy you had take away mugs at the bar so tea could be brought back to our room the room service breakfast was 15 minutes latter than the time we ordered it (we ordered it for 10.45-11.00 and it came at about 11.20 after we rang down) as check out was 12 we felt a bit rushed. and check out was very busy and i didnt see any express check out facility so we had to wait (can i say again the staff were lovely and did apologize for the delay)
I am sure these are all kinks of a new hotel that will be worked out in time and i would be very happy to stay in your hotel again.
Just another quick comment when you book a room online it is not clear that you have to specify you want a double room twin etc... so i had to make a few phone call to sort this out after booking.

The hotel is in a perfect location, the staff were fantastic very friendly they welcomed us and ensured at every encounter we had with them that we were ok & enjoying our stay, for me this made the hotel stand out more compared to other hotels in dublin the personel touch at the Gibson was beyond my expactions. The interior of the rooms was 1st class very modern and clean cut fresh colours which was nice to walk into after a long days shopping !! I am looking forward to returning when the restaurant opens and the rooms have their full facilities. The only dissappointment was no swimming pool near by that guests could use.

the service was very slow and not very friendly. The check in was a nightmare with staff giggling and chatting whilst I waited to check in. Then they could not find the booking even with the reference number. The bar staff were very friendly, but we had to wait ages for service. Some of the reception staff were also quite abrupt. when I went to have my car park ticket validated the young pup demanded my room number rudely as if he did not believe I had stayed there. Room to improve most definitely. there are lots of hotels in this niche, and gibson is out of the way, so customer service should be first class.

The Gibson Hotel was lovely, and room was fab, the only downside of my stay was that the room was not ready on my arrival, and still not ready by 5.00.
The bar staff were very inexperienced and the choice of drinks were very limited. Since the hotel was only opened a few weeks i felt the staff were not able to cope with the large volume of people that stayed there that weekend. There was one exeptional good manager named Barry, but Barry cannot run a hotel on his own.
Hotel was ideal lodacton for Concerts in the 02

To be honest, the fact that we couldn't check into the room until 8pm, (As apparently the previous guests hadn't checked out) was a little intolerable). Very disappointed with that, and it did ruin our plans for a nice night out in Dublin. ( P.s. I don't believe the excuse given for a minute). In saying that, the young manager on duty, did apologise, it was clear that there was little he could do and offered some concessions. Also thought it was decent that the manager rang me a couple of days later and left a message on my voicemail with another apology. It is also worth saying that the hotel itself is in a great location, and the rooms are absolutley top notch, and i stay away in hotels alot for work, so it has the makings of a great hotel. ( would i stay here again?? if i was assured that the mess-up with the rooms wouldn't happen again, then definately, really nice hotel)

The rooms were very clean and welcoming, staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The restuarant and bar area were decorated very nicely and breakfast was very tasty. Although this hotel had just opened it seemed to have very little teething problems I hope they keep to this standard! I would definitely recommend it as great value for money!

A brand new beatiful hotel located in a rapidly developing area of Dublin, very close to public transportation which allows to reach the city center in a few minutes. The personel is very kind and professional.

Very relaxing hotel at a reasonable rate in comparison to other Dublin Hotels. I stay in Dublin quite often, if they keep their rate at a reasonable price then i will be staying here everytime. Loved the outside heated terrace with ambient music playing where we enjoyed a meal and quiet drink.

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very nice & helpful.
One point to note. We checked in quite late @22.00 and were concerned that we may be too late to eat. The attendant at reception advised that she would warn the kitchen staff to expect our order, which was great. However when we were in the bar we were advised that food was been served until 23.00 (which was even better)!

Great hotel, paid €99 for the night ex breakfast. Service was 1st class had dinner & breakfast which were fantastic. Hotel was obviously clean as it had been open for 3 weeks before my stay. Location is great too, the luas & the O2 are both right outside the door 10/10 in my books

Everything was perfect. The room was amazing. All interactions with staff were more than pleasant. We went to the bar for a drink after a show and ended up staying there until closing time - really nice atmosphere there. Extremely impressed and would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very modern in design, the room was bright airy and clean. The bed was too hard for me and I am a wheelchair user and some elements of the bathroom were not suitable. However the staff were very friendly and helpful and as I was only staying for one night it was fine. The hotel is ideal for a show at the O2 and the Luas is just outside the door.

Spacious, modern, elegantly furnished, comfortable bedroom, though duvet much too warm even though heat turned off in room. Luxurious good sized bathroom with plenty of shelf space for toiletries etc. Lovely towels. Unfortunately shower leaked onto floor, but manager was dealing with this problem as soon as we told him.
Staff all very courtious, pleasant and helpful.
We enjoyed our meal in the bar, where there was a good menu.

REally Nice, perfect for attending the O2, Staff all so helpful, service in the restaurant for breakfast in the morning was very personable & a really nice fresh array of food. Very quirky, modern, bright & airy with alot of warmth. Will definately return & wish you all the best of luck with the opening period. All seemed flawless from where WE were. Excellent.

The hotel is in a very handy location as we were attending Cirque du Soleil in the O2. The LUAS is right outside too for access to the rest of the city or it's about twenty minutes on foot to the heart of the city. The bedroom was a very nice size with a very nice bathroom. Furnishings and appliances were all of a high standard. We also had access to a communal roof balcony which was lovely. We enjoyed our stay with the breakfast being really good. They make an effort with the quality of the food which is nice to see. All the staff were polite and friendly. We would definitely stay again. And apparenlty there is going to be espresso machines in every bedroom which would be sweet. We'll be staying with the Gibson the next time we visit Dublin.

The hotel is very nice and your staff were welcoming. I would point out a few things however:
1. the bar staff were very slow in serving. Granted, it was busy after the concert in the point but they should have been prepared.
2. the toiletries in the bathrooms weren't particularly nice and were certaintly not Voya as was billed in your information book in the room.

Fantastic stay overall - Nice decor - reception was a bit of a cavernous empty space, but room nice and clean - fresh and modern and restaurant/bar is a fantastic spot. Staff wonderfully welcoming and polite and helpful. Restaurant was really the best bit - tasty cocktails, a flexible chef who can make anything you fancy and waiting staff very attentive and friendly. Only disappointing bit came at the end when reception told us we could easily walk to the ferry port from the hotel with our bags - NOT true - takes about an hour - Note for the next time!

Very friendly and helpful staff and an excellent room made for a very enjoyable stay in this great hotel.
The location makes it extremely easy to get to into the city centre, but is also quiet enough for when you want to relax.
Full marks all round.

Our stay was fantastic. From the welcome at the front desk, to the standard of the room, the food in the bar, the location next to the O2, the very very comfy bed, the great choice in breakfast the next morning..everything was wonderful.
While a bit outside the city centre itself, it provides a fine quiet stay and with the Luas stopping right outside the front door you can be in the city centre in minutes if you want to.
My wife was a bit disappointed that the Relaxation Room was not yet up and running but considering that this hotel only opened 2 weeks beforehand, we did not expect everything to be completely ready.
We will most definately be staying in this hotel when in Dublin again.
