comments The hotel was in an excellent location as we toured the city of Dublin and traveled on the DART. At the same time, there is a lot to see and do in Dun Laoghaire so we enjoyed that as well. The food at the hotel was wonderful, service quite nice, and we will definately come back if our plans take us in that direction
Hotel Response:

Thank you for leaving your comments. We are glad that you enjoyed your time with us in the Royal Marine as well taking some time to explore Dun Laoghaire.

comments We arrived after a 5 hour drive and booked in which was dealt with very efficiently. We wanted to book a table for dinner but the restaurant was closed. We were told that we could dine in the bar but there were not tables and we were advised that there would be a long wait. We had to dine in the hall which was very uncomfortable as people were passing all the time. We returned to our room and then the fire alarm went off just as I was preparing for bed. As lovely as this hotel is I did not feel that we were able to enjoy the four star experience.

comments The Hotel was fantastic, staff very very good, only problems was that house keeping came round at 7.45am to start cleaning rooms on our floor, of which they were very noisy, other than that had a great stay, wouldn't visit ireland again as it's far to expensive, feel like you are getting ripped off every time you buy a beer (6 euros a pint)

comments Fine hotel,we got a really good deal and booked our next holiday there the day we left. Our room on the small side and looking into other buildings but not complaining as we could have upgraded for just 20 euro. As we live beside the sea the view was not important so we did not bother.Free parking another plus.

comments Nice plush room with sea view. Generally excellent service throughout. Hotel is close to all amenties including the DART for easy access to Dublin city centre. There are several good restuarants within walking distance of the hotel. This is important as the restuarant in the hotel leaves alot to be desired. If you plan to use the pool and spa do remember to pack your flip-flops as the hotel require you to have your own for use of the facilities. Not necessarily something you think of packing for a weekend away in the Irish Autumn.

comments much better than we thought previous reviews led us to believe! Service was excellent - every staff member there to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Breakfast was a little strange but we didnt have it included in our package so that was fine. Rooms are great - massive beds with memory foam comfort, toilet, sink, bath and shower cubicle - nice not to have to climb in and out of the bath! Pool, sauna, stem room and jacuzzi all gorgeous and constantly being cleaned. twice we witnessed staff scrubbing the grills round the pool and cleaning shower heads! Most unusual and not because they were bored, there just seemed to be a strong work ethic running right through the hotel. We had an executive room with balcony which is just about big enough to put 1 chair on but as the doors both open right up it would be fine to pull up chairs within the room. Room service was prompt - sandwiches at midnight with a pile of salad and masses of crisps - nothing mean about that! Reception staff helpful, ringing people on their day off to answer our queries, and always smiling and professional. We had the added bonus of having theMiss Ireland photo shoot their so we had elegant young ladies draped around the place for our entire stay! What more could you ask for!

comments Excellent hotel with superb swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and gym facilities. Sunday luch buffet good value. Breakfast expensive but good spread. Would reccommend stay here with really good transport links into centre of Dublin with benefit of sea front ltown location and close restaurant and shopping facilities.

comments We enjoyed a midweek break at the end of July 09 which included 2 night BB + 1 Dinner. The Hotel accomadation, staff, and surroundings were excellent. I used the gym and pool one morning again the facilities there are top class. Recommend this Hotel - The Dart is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Adult day return to Connolly station E4.20 takes 20 mins approx.

comments found the hotel to be excellent and the staff were very helpful though that there was not a great deal of choice in the hotel restaurant but for a short stay was fine having to use 2 different lifts to go from the underground car park to the rooms was a bit of a pain full Irish breakfast was excellent even so would definitely recommend this hotel and in fact have told a lot of my friends and family about the hotel

comments Very much enjoyed my stay at the Royal Marine Hotel. The room was huge and beautiful. The bathroom was fab and the hotel itself was great. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The food in the restaurant was lovely. I thought it was very well priced, only €10 more than a b&b and for the better ademities, it was worth it. The internet access in the rooms was very handy. Overall would very much recommend this hotel and hope to stay there again in the near future.

comments We thorouhly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Marine. The room was execllent , clean and tastefully decorated. The staff were extremely helpful even to the point of running after us with an umbrella when it was raining. Although the spa area is not yet open they taxied us to a nearby hotel and arranged for us to use their pool. We thoroughly recommend this hotel and are planning on returning soon.
