comments An adeal budget guesthouse with great irish breakfast. About a mile from the town centre. Pubs just around the corner and a take out across the road. Close to the entrance to phoenix park, and on a frequent bus route to town. Also close to the Irish museum, the guiness storehouse and one of the modern art gallerys. i look forward to returning for next years weekend break.

comments Staff was okay. The room had a strange smell, therefore l had to keep the windows open for fresh air but there was a lot of noise from the traffic and the construction across the street. The phone did not work in the room and altough staff was aware of this my wake up call request was not fulfilled, no staff came to my door to wake me up. Location is very good because it's close to the city center so one can walk, bus or use the Luas.

comments I would not recomment this guesthouse. The owner would not accept the confirmation email as proof of the outstanding balance and were forced to pay an extra 90 Euros.

comments We enjoyed the stay in the guesthouse. A bit slow service at breakfast, seemed a bit disorganised somewhat. And the mysterious towel situation which changed daily. Two people get one large and three small towels. :)

comments we weerrn't expecting much on arrival as it was a reasonably cheap place to stay. it's not very inviting from the outside, but once inside it was quite presentable. the room however wasn't great. the ceiling was flaky and a bit damp. the outside trafiic was very noisy and we had to wait an hour for hot water on arrival. the staff, however were friendly and helpful.

comments yes we hjave stayed phoenix park guesthouse for many years when we went to dublin it is soo handy to get into the city u can go by the luas or no ten bus up the road and train station is juist down the road.

comments Overall given the price I didn't expect too much of this place, and by and large it was reasonable for the money: - clean room, good bathroom, good breakfast, friendly staff. It was however very noisy - room next to a very busy road junction - plus the usual morons stomping around at 4 in the morning.

comments "hearty Irish breakfast" did not come up with our expectations. It was indeed very small and the breakfast time was not adjusted to early travellers' schedule. We had paid for the full Irish breakfast and as we had to leave at 07.30, our breakfast was very limited.

comments Having stayed at this B&B a few years ago, this stay was not as pleasant. We had a few slices of mouldy toast served up at breakfast, although we couldn't fault the rest of the cooked breakfast. The shower in the room, had red mould on the tiles and the room smelt of cigarettes which we felt was unhygenic.

comments The room was smokey all the time, and we did not smoke- when the other rooms were aired the windows were not opened (So we saw when walking by when leaving for our daily excursions). Repairs should be done year round and not just in the "Off-season" because those of us that travel expect not to find holes in the wall or dirty floors. Rooms should have their own adjustable heat source even if it is a little foot heater; it make the guest feel more at home and in control of their environment.

comments I thought that the guest house was very good value for money. The house was clean, the service good and the breakfast good as well. The only minus point I can think of was that the T. V. reception was not too good although I have seen worse.

comments While the location is close to the Guinness Brewery, it is pretty far from the center of town and the majority of restaurants and bars. It's very much like a guesthouse/hostel rather than a hotel, and is average quality. Our expectations were higher.

comments We were very pleased with the size of the room. It was well heated and the beds comfy. We stayed two nights and were not disturbed by noise at all. The bathroom was plenty big enough and the shower hot. Breakfast was fine although the cooked element was smaller then that of english B&Bs. It is a very professionally run outfit and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

comments Nordic people are used to use "handshower" (pidetta) for intime wash. In Ireland we did not find any place where this could be possible. The females were not happy with this.
