comments I had to find a suitable hotel for 8 of us to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday, I spent hours looking at the different hotels in and around Temple Bar to find somewhere I thought everyone would be happy with and could afford. This hotel was fantastic, perfect for our needs. It really is 2 minutes walk to the Porterhouse (which is a lively bar over 4 floors with live music Fri and Sat and maybe other days too) and the Purty Kitchen which equally has live music until late and then has a nightclub upstairs. The hotels own bar and club (the Turks Head) is good and we could have stayed there all night quite easily. We ate here one evening and the food was tasty and good value for money. I headed someone else comments and emailed the hotel prior to our visit to ask for 2 rooms on the 4th floor for the older ones in the group in case they wanted to sleep earlier and these were provided and were lovely and quiet. Friends lower down did get disturbed about 3 am on Saturday with some police sirens. Everyone said their hotel rooms were immaculate with no mould or grubbiness anywhere - including the bathrooms which were lovely. The breakfasts were great and are served until 10.30 so we all made it up in time. The receptionist staff were extremely helpful in all respects, even not minding getting some of us drinks at 4 am! Everyone wants to go back again and we will definately be using the Paramount Hotel again.

comments I requested a room away from any noise and I was pleased to find that my request was granted. It was very peaceful, clean and well equipped. The hotel is in a good location. The staff were helpful and courteous. The breakfast was excellent. I had a very pleasant stay and would stay there again.

comments The paramount hotel is in a fantastic location (walking distance to everything!), twin room was a good size, very clean and tastefully decorated. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. My only complaint is that they didn't seem to know much about the area. I would definitely stay there again and have already recommended it to friends.

comments Just returned from a 1 night stay at the Paramount Hotel. Staff were pleasant and helpful at all times. I requested a quiet room at the time of booking and the hotel kindly obliged. Room was very clean and spacious. Great location for the Temple Bar area if you can cope with the noise from the party revellers.

comments The hotel and staff were great. We arrived in Dublin on an early flight and they let us check in at 10.30 am. Also, I e-mailed them after the booking asking for a large room. They put the 2 of us in a triple room with balcony on the top floor. It was like a penthouse suite. Really can't thank the staff enough for a great stay.

comments The Hotel seems to be little-known among taxi drivers. The original hotel entrance on Parliament Street is no longer in use except as a fire exit and the "new" front door is around the back on the corner of Essex Gate & Upper Exchange Street. Perhaps that is why this is a hidden gem. We had a room of the 3rd floor - the ground floor bar is open each night and can be noisy. City noise did just about get through the double glazing, but not enough to stop us sleeping. The décor was stylised 1930's pastiche, but our room were reasonably sized and comfortable. We spent four days here and were able to walk everywhere, to museums, attractions, restaurants, pubs & entertainment. Prices were reasonable and there was lots of choice - competition helping the visitor. Eating out for lunch or in the evening involves difficult choices over what style of food to go for. The range of cuisine & freshly cooked food in the immediate area is huge and it all looked good. Book a table or go early unless you want to risk being turned away, but we had no problems finding somewhere to eat each day. We will be back and we will not bother looking for an alternative hotel. The staff were pleasant & helpful, it is right on the edge of Temple Bar and two minutes from the River Liffey. If we'd gone to every restaurant the staff recommended we'd have needed another week.

My only critiscism is that the front of house staff were quite abrupt verging on rude and there was no lounge area to enjoy a relaxing cup of tea after a hard day of site seeing! comments The location was perfect. The room was nice, only the blanket was so thin, that one get cold in the night. The cooked breakfast was very poor, if I wanted one egg more, this was not possible. The buffet with cereals was nice.

comments I was glad to stay at Paramount Hotel; the staff was polite and very helpful. The hotel is situated very good for experiencing Dublin on foot and the costs are not bad. But it's very noisy until 2.30 in the morning!

comments Do not drive there. Paramont Hotel is hard to find and parking is not available. Ask for a room off the street as it can be noisy. The location is great for exploring Dublin (on foot).

comments Very service minded staff at the hotel. We had to change rooms 3 times due to noise from pub and next room the lock on the door was not working. The rooms were quite small but the beds and bathroom was ok.

comments The room was very spacious clean and comfortable, families with children beware of the TV there are a couple of channels with explicit images to be seen at all times of the day! Admittedly, we booked rather late so we probably had a noisier room than most at the hotel i.e. traffic, road and pavement cleaning machines, but anyone who visits Dublin especially after a good day and excellent night out should sleep well enough. On the whole it is a very nice hotel with friendly staff and good food. Monday to Friday rates are reasonable. I would definitely use this hotel again AAAA+++++++

comments Very good location and a generally nice place to stay. The rooms were a little cold and the single glazed windows don't do much to keep out the noise of party folk outside but this wasn't a big problem. Breakfast is good.

comments I highly recommend the Paramount for any visitors to Dublin to stay at. It is very well placed for visiting the sights and sounds that Dublin can offer, all within easy walking distance. The only downside is that it can be a little noisy.

comments Very nice hotel, and excellent location as far as getting around by foot. My only complaint is that our room was right above the outdoor smoking section of a neighboring bar, so there was a lot of noise at night. Closing the window didn't make much difference, except to make the room even hotter than it already was. Fiddling with the temperature controls in the room didn't appear to have any effect. But, that aside, I would definitely recommend the Paramount.

comments Welcoming, competent and helpful Reception staff. Not to forget the staff at breakfast time for their warm greetings. Breakfast area slightly chilly and draughty when doors are opened to air the room early morning. Would stay at Paramount hotel again and recommend it to visitors to Dublin.

comments I highly recommend the Paramount for any visitors to Dublin to stay at. Staff were very helpful (allowing me and my girlfriend to book in at 10am), it is very well placed for visiting the sights and sounds that Dublin can offer, all within easy walking distance. We DO intend using the Paramount again, on our next visit to Dublin.
