comments A gem that was located exactly where we wanted to be. We walked everywhere and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were very helpful, the rooms spacious and clean. It was quite a unique experience and we will be back.

comments staff abrupt and impersonal. not a bit friendly. room spacious but bathroom very basic, no shower cap or facecloths provided. breakfast on sunday adequate but not what we would expect for the price we paid

comments The Davenport was a very clean comfortable hotel and we enjoyed our stay there. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to assist us and generally make our stay pleasant. Not the fanciest hotel, but has a lot of character and we would certainly stay there again. We felt it was a good value.

comments The staff in the hotel were friendly and efficient with nothing being too much trouble. When we arrived we found our room to be noisy due to the air conditioning on the roof. When we expressed our concern, the staff arranged an immediate change of room witrhout any fuss The room was spacious and clean and our stay was extremely pleasant. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel

comments I felt the reception staff were a little 'on edge' and it took 3 of them to deal with my check-in. I also requested champagne on ice to be in our room prior to our arrival - this was not done and we didn't receive it until we had got in to our allocated room - it was a birthday surprise for my partner so I wasn't pleased, particularly when the champagne was very expensive.

comments Our stay at the Hotel was excellent, food accommodation was of a very high standard, all staff were extremely helpful. However, problems arose with extra items being added to our bill which spoilt our enjoyment at the last minute.

comments Very nice hotel with pleasant atmosphere and although this is a quiet area of Dublin at weekends it is very easy to access most areas of the city. All of the staff were cheerful and helpful. Our room was of a good standard and our evening meal on Saturday was very enjoyable.

comments The reception staff were particularly helpful throughout. We'd arranged our own city break with a two night stay. Our flight times meant an early arrival and late departure which I feared could be awkward. This proved totally unfounded as accommodation was made available early and luggage was ticketed and safely stored when departing. Our room was very clean, warm and sizable. The bathroom (with shower) was faultless. Room sevice was quietly efficient. The hotel's location, on the fringe of the city centre, was just right, combining a 10 minute walk to the central area with a quiet situation, guaranteeing a good night's sleep. It was also noted that the cost of in-house drinks was markedly cheaper than Temple Bar pub prices. If there is room for improvement it is in organinising a more frequent window-cleaning regime, particularly, I imagine, at upper floor levels. Finally, and I stongly feel this is a suggestion for all hotels, all net curtains should be cleaned on a minimum weekly basis. Where guests do smoke in their rooms I find it is the net curtains which retain the smell, most. Overall, an excellent experience which I would not hesitate in repeating.

comments We found our stay in the hotel pleasant. Staff helpful. However as hotel carpark is not adjoining hotel it would be an idea to have a porter to park carks or least someone to carry luggage
