comments I had my 40th Birthday there in May which went very well . I have had dinner with yourselves also on numerous occassions . It is a wonderful place to go to for a few drinks , personally i like the atmosphere and decor , none of the pretentious false envoirnments that greet you in some "trendy" establishments . If it aint broke , dont fix it ! Regards R. Graham

comments Stayed with friends for weekend, hotel very good value for price paid. Bar and Restaurant very good, with huge portions. Easy to get to centre by bus approx 5min walk to bus stop. Taxi ride about 15 euros to city, 20 euros to airport. if in dublin again soon would book this hotel straight away

comments It is a lovely location and the staff are very pleasant. My major problem was the Saturday night entertainment which could unfortunately be heard quite clearly in my room late into the night. Due to the fact that I had a day of lectures ahead of me I really would have appreciated a good night's sleep. It would certainly influence my choice of the venue again if I was travelling for work purposes. Unfortunate.

comments The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was good. I was unhappy with my room as the noise from the kitchen fans and the odour of food meant that I could not leave my window open. I would not have stayed on Friday night if I had known the loud music would be playing after midnight. Unsure if I will return again.

comments Lovely hotel with lots of friendly people and staff, Prices for drinks and food put us off a little and when compaired to others they were possibly too expensive. Room was neat, tidy and most of all very clean.

comments Everything was great except for the Wi-Fi which was down much of the time. The breakfasts were terrific and the service was great and helpful. The neighborhood was quiet and we loved the traditional architectural details.

comments I found my stay at "the Maples" both comfortable and enjoyable, and will stay again in the near future. The only glitch was a gentleman on the night shift told my wife who rang from the UK that I was not registered , when in fact I had just checked out to go and meet her at Dublin airport on the first morning of the Volcano dust air traffic disruptions.

comments Für zwei Personen war das Zimmer relativ eng. Zwei normale Reisekoffer waren kaum unterzubringen und standen somit immer im Weg. Ansonsten waren Ausstattung, Service, Frühstück usw. sehr gut.

comments The Maples hotels iteself is very pleasant, nice bar, resturant and friendly, helpful staff. However the hotel is let down by it's rooms. They are very, very small, the decorations are very dated, the bathroom facilites left a lot to be desired. Therefore in terms of location and general hotel faclities we were reasonably happy, but very disappointed with our room

comments The house has pub music several evenings a week; quite pleasant and not till too late. The single room was tight, but quite sufficient. Quiet neighbourhood, yet convenient to various buses, shops and sights.

comments I was very impressed with the standard of the whole hotel, including the food. The service was excellent, although I would like to recommend that they have a 'service' bell at the counter, as I waited some time for a night porter.

comments Accueil chaleureux. Personnel très disponible et soucieux d'apporter des solutions aux problèmes rencontrés. Par exemple, nous avons pu acheter des places pour Croke Park très facilement grâce à leurs conseils alors que c'était compliqué de France. Joli cadre; belles cheminées. Un peu loin du centre mais ligne de bus assez proches.Et sous la neige comme ce 7 février09, quel charme!

comments The hotel was great value, I was impressed by what was on offer. Internet, bar, restaurant & still a stones throw from Croke Park. My room was at the front of the hotel and I had no problem with noise as I feared I would. The room was nicely laid out with flat panel tv and comfy bed. The staff are very helpful and frienddly. All in all and excellent stay. I will be back again msny times.

comments lots of good things about this hotel, good location easy buses to city and short journey from airport. hotel recently decorated and impresssive. Pleasant staff and food both at breakfast and evening meal were excellent. On the more negaitve side was the actual hotel room which was very small, not helped by squeezing into the room a single bed. Bathroom was tiny, no bath only a shower and water pressure was very poor so an envigourating shower was impossible. Hotel had some entertainment in its bar which was filled with local residents as well as hotel guests. We enjoyed the local group "streetwise" who must of been a regular turn as almost all the locals were known to them and took turns on the mike...great craic !!

comments A very nice stay. The hotel was very convenient (a 20 minute walk to O'Connell Street), all the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were very good. My only concern was the lack of water pressure in the bathroom.

comments I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Maples House Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful; the (single) room was rather small but was compensated for somewhat by it having a very spacious en-suite bathroom attached and everything was very clean. The food was excellent (both breakfast and evening meals) and the location was very peaceful away from traffic but at the same time convenient, with easy access to buses to all parts of the city. The live entertainment at the weekend was top quality and very good fun. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Ireland. H. Kruppa, Frankfurt, Germany

comments Maples House would deserve a better rating if it weren't for one key thing. Live music in the evenings, complete with compere until at least 12.30am. My room was directly above, luckily I had earplugs! The room, however, was great. Clean, crisp, functional and somewhat stylish. It's a little way out of Dublin, half hour walk or a ten minute bus ride. Breakfasts are okay, standard fare. The staff were pleasant. I'd recommend it on the caveat that you either join in the fun, or make sure you're not trying to sleep before midnight at the weekends. If you can get a room at the front, I imagine that the noise would be less of an issue.

comments we had 1 double room and 1 triple room. The double room was extremely small, but as it was only for 1 night it was acceptable. The triple room was an excellent size, however the room completely stank of stale cigarette smoke. This was all completely nuetralised by the excellent food and guinness served in the bar down below. Overall satisfactory stay.
