comments The staff were helpful and welcoming; the room was large, well furnished and clean; the hotel was quiet but located only 10 minutes walk from restaurants and other facilities. It was extemely good value for money. Would happily use this hotel again when in Dublin.

comments When I arrived although I had secured the booking and paid a deposit using a credit card, they wanted us to provide credit card again, I advised I did not have said credit card, but would pay the cost of our booking upfront in cash if they wish, they accepted this and also wanted €100 cash deposit. This was quite surprising as we had no warning that we would have to budget this extra €100.00 as I could not see this advertised on their website and they did not tell me when I rang a couple of days prior to arriving to confirm the booking. I requested a room overleooking the plaza and they said I would get a room up on the sixth floor which according to the research I done prior to arriving are the very nice rooms, I was quite excited about this, but when I arrived the receptionist told me it would be the fifth floor, with no explanation. Dont see why she moved us anyway as the hotel was not that crowded. Also we had dinner in their restaruant as part of our package and the food was actually microwaved! I had a curry and when I cut into the rice it stayed in one place and didnt even seperate. On a positive side the hotel is in a great location - very close to city centre and the room was very clean, though the other issues overshawdoed this.

comments lovely hotel, app. 20 minutes walk to city centre but right on the tram route, which run every ten minutes or so. The hotel is in a quiet area and faces onto a pedestrianised plaza therefore no traffic noise. The staff were frienly and polite and also extremely helpful when we asked for our room to be changed for one with a view, which they did immediately. The room was very clean, pleasant and very comfortable. would defintitely go back.

comments Hotel was just as described and the staff where friendly enough, but, the window in our room would not shut and lock at all and it could not be mended as 'the part needed to be ordered' but no offer of exchange of room was made or reduction in price, not even a free drink in the small bar, apart from that the stay was pleasant and would use this hotel again.

comments I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We had travelled to Dublin for the marathon, and the hotel was perfect. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms contemporary, clean, big, quiet.... can I say more!! Excellent value for money and a good location, the centre is within walking distance about 15 minutes, or the tram stops at the end of the road. Would definately stay again.

comments After the difficulty in locating the Comfort Inn everything else ran smoothly. We were very impressed with the greeting and check in and absolutely thrilled with our room. 5 star quality fittings, including a dining table and chairs and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was also superbly fitted, and the shower had fantastic pressure. The decor of the whole hotel was very upmarket and tasteful. Having the small supermarket next door to the Hotel was a bonus as well for buying light snacks. The location of the Hotel was excellent, in a quiet upmarket area, but within a short walk from the top tourist areas, the Guinness Factory, Temple Bar etc. We would definitely stay again and have recommended it to all our friends and associatiates.

comments The Comfort Inn at Smithfield was definitely as good as the pictures I'd seen, and probably better - the staff were curteous and helpful, the hotel (all parts) was clean and of a very good standard (for the rating an price) and although the area wasn't particularly picturesque, it was within walking dsitance of most attractions/main areas, quiet and well serviced (delicatesen, general store, ATM, public transport). The ice rink (Smithfield on ice for Christmas) directly outside was a bonus too! I would certainly stay in this hotel again.

comments The hotel itself is located in a quiet neighbourhood, with the LUAS (tram) close by, It's tops 7 minuts to city centre. We had nothing to complain about the hotel and the stay itself, but about the staff. They were courteous and helpful enough, but when we discovered stuff being stolen from our room twice during our stay.. I've had nothing but good things to say about Comfort Hotels in the past, so this was a huge disappointment.
