comments My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Maldron Hotel, Cardiff Lane. The staff were very welcoming, helpful, friendly and efficient - nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was kept to a high standard and was pleasantly warm - we did not require the central heating on even though it was cold outside. We did not use the gym and pool facilities therefore cannot comment on these. The only negative (and it was a small one) was breakfast time. a) some of the staff on duty at breakfast really need to 'smile' more and show a friendlier disposition - they were efficient and very busy I hasten to add but some smiles would have made all the difference. b) As guests who stayed and ate 6 or 7 breakfasts over our stay, the breakfast menu became very monotonous even though there was a good choice overall, which we are sure was appreciated by shorter stay guests!! Please introduce a variety of choice (perhaps to order)- fried eggs, omelettes etc as opposed to just scambled/boiled eggs every day and some tomatoes would have been appreciated too. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

comments Our Stay at hotel was just ok..the hotel was very clean and staff were great and very helpful..however the door between the room we were in and the room next door ment the tv turned down very low was still to loud for the people in the next room ..you could hear everything from next door... we had a heitons voucher and got an evening meal voucher for the resturant however when we went to order we were given another second menu and told to order from that as the voucher didnt cover our meal..very misleading.. the fish that we got on that menu was dried out and horriable...wish our stay could have been a better experience as it was a special anniversary for us.

comments Hotel was better than expected! Really spotlessly clean, friendly helpful staff, great food (we had breakfast and dinner), brilliant pool and leisure facilities and we felt really good value! Location was a surprise to me as I had never been in this area but it was close to the city centre. What more can I add - I would definitely recommend this hotel.

comments Myself and my husband and two children stayed in your lovely hotel recently. We really enjoyed our stay. On our last morning a really nice female member of restaurant staff brought over two big cups of hot chocolate for our two children, and this attention to details was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend the Maldron Hotel and its location was very central. We had a wonderful time and are planning a return visit very soon.

comments The hotel was of excellent quality and my husband and I did so enjoy the leisure facilities and the dinner included was of high quality with an optoion to upgrade if desired. However on the negative side we were on the break to enjoy our anniversary and we were planning to treat ourselves to a wonderfull massage (as outlined in spa facilities available in the four star hotel) when at the hotel for thursday, friday night we were told that the beauty spa facility was closed and not open until tuesday!!!! Another aspect we found disapointing is that prior to booking we were unaware that the hotel does not have its own carpark facilities (you have to pay extra to use a public car park!!!) it would be of use to guests prior to selecting your hotel online etc to be aware that this is the case!!!

comments overall i was very please with value for money and service at this hotel. i travelled with my husband and two children , the area is up and coming and nicer than i thought. the terrace is an added bonus, my only complaint was the lack of air con , it was hot at night and i felt we could not leave the patio door open as it was adjoined to next door it could be anyone staying next door.

comments Check-in is at 2pm. Arrived at the hotel at 1.55pm and was annoyed that we had to wait well over an hour with 2 small children for our room after travelling to Dublin. Breakfast for the 2 girls was too expensive, I was charged 17.00 on our first morning and all they ate was 2 bowls of cereal and juice. Went to the city to buy breakfast for the children for the rest of our stay while we had ours in the hotel. Impressed with the Leisure Centre. Excellent facilities and heat of main pool was fabulous! Rooms extremely clean. You need parking facilities. Cost us a fortune to park our car for 3 days & 3 nights so this would be a huge factor in booking again with you as it is an added cost in our stay.

comments We had a wonderful stay in your hotel. My daughters and I stayed three nights. Room was ,in my daughter's words,'The best room ever!!' and I agreed with her. Staff were friendly and most helpful. Breakfast was superb. On the down side, we had an evening meal included in our package, which we did not avail of. Having viewed the menu in the lobby, we felt that the selection was not 'great' and the children would probably not eat most of it. Unfortunately there is no bus service to the hotel and our stay involved alot of walking and /or taxi fares. Thank you for a lovely break. Clare

comments The staff were friendly, chatty and helpful. However, we asked for a drink in the residents bar at 12.45am. The female ?manager in the restaurant upstairs was not pleasant when when we asked for a drink. She told us to take a seat and someone would come, but no-one did. We waited 20 minutes then went back to reception. The man on duty organised a drink for us. The offer to have your meal before a show and have dessert and tea/coffee after is great and great value too.

comments The room, the staff and food were satisifactory, except for one observation on the food. We both felt very thirsty next morning after eating a very excellent pork dish for dinner the night before. I guess the chef or the suppliers are using too much salt of food preservatives. What a pity. I am over fifty, I try to reduce my salt intake for health reasons.

comments Hi, Enjoyed all aspects of the hotel, clean, friendly and helpful staff, but unlikely to return as there are no car parking facilities, not even a set down area!Upon arrival, I parked in the unauthorised parking area across from the hotel, left my car engine running, ran with luggage to check in, was told my car was at risk of being clamped! ran to move car after checking in,leaving my luggage unattended on the lobby floor!(girl at reception said she would keep an eye on it, which was impossible for her as she was very busy checking in other guests), drove around for five minutes at least but no parking space available and eventually parked in original unauthorised space while i brought my luggage to my bedroom! Again, I ran to move my car and parked it at my friends house in Sandymount and got a Taxi back to YOUR hotel. A BAD EXPERIENCE. Is there underground parking avalable in adjoining building or in building across the road?

comments Hi I thought the hotel and the leisure facilities were great. I would love to stay there again however. there was a dirty sock under the bed which was a bit off putting and there is room for improvement at the breakfast table for example, we was never given a teaspoon the pot of tea would arrive after a long period of waiting the water not hot enough to get the full flavour from the tea bag. And then once you poured out the luke warm tea there would be no milk. Again you would have to wait for the milk to arrive. Some tables had sugar salt pepper some didn't. Lastly, there was no sugar or teabags in our room when we arrived. I would be encouraged to use the hotel much more if the room price was right at the 79 euros without breakfast is to much when there are other hotels in Dublin with the same facilities even better in some respects offering better deals.

comments On the reviews we had noticed the comments about the car parking and investigated through the hotel about this. The charges for parking for the 2 nights was 'out of the question' and so we didn't go at all. Because of these additional costs for car parking, sadly we had to forgo the experience of the Maldron Hotel

comments The hotel itself was lovely. The rooms are big and clean. The staff was helpful and there were lots of ammenities. What I did not like is that the pool is reserved for children only at certain times, this was not mentioned on the website and that the hotel itself was much farther from the temple bar area that mentioned. Other than those few trivial things, the vacation was lovely.

comments The hotel and our room was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of variety. We didn't have any meals in Lannigans as we ate in the city, but the prices did seem expensive. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly and we would stay in the hotel again. The hotel is a good 15-20 minutes walk from Dublin centre but we didn't have a problem with that as it was quiet at night. There is lots of building work going on outside the hotel, but again we didn't have a problem with it as the hotel was only a base to sleep in.

comments If found the Quality Hotel in Dublin far exceeded my expectations. For the money we paid, I really expected something close to a much cheaper hotel; however, we found it much nearer to the upscale hotels that we stay in in in New York City. It was immaculately clean, very modern and roomy, and as comfortable as could be. The amenities were very nice, and the room package we took included a full Irish breakfast everyday, which we found to be outstanding, with quite a variety of foods to fit everyone's taste!. As we continue to visit Dublin, we will always be choosing this hotel.

Good choice at breakfast, but food could have been hotter. Enjoyed the leisure facilities. Some noise during the night from returning guests and in the morning from the Post Depot located behind the hotel. Overall this hotel offers good value for money and is within a short taxi ride or 20/25 min walk to Temple Bar and Grafton Street.

comments This hotel is really nice and good value for money. It's about 15-20mins walk from Temple Bar so it's a good place to for peace and quiet if you don't want a heavy night.

comments Hotel itself was great, views over construction sites a bit off putting, though little noise noticed inside. Leisure club was good with helpful and attentive staff. Dinner/Breakfast could have been better, no teaspoons on the cups and saucers (Breakfast or Dinner) and soup spoons for breakfast cereal . Sauces were sachet rather than dishes, ok but not quite 4star. Will go back hopefully when the views have stabalised. Balconies would have been better with the views blocked off. We will be recommending the hotel, but with a advised time lag of a few years to get the construction phase out of the way.

comments Loved the hotel. Room was lovely, very clean and spacious (triple room), staff were very helpful. Only negative was no hairdryer in the room (but there was an iron and tea-making facilities as well as an ice machine on the floor. Ice bucket was provided in the room. We would go there again.

comments The hotel was very comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly. Although it isn't overlooking the Liffey, you can see it if you lean over the balcony and once the building work across the road is complete it will have a more pleasant outlook.

comments Stayed for New Year at this hotel. Very clean and modern. The liesure complex was very good, the hotel rooms large and comfortable and it is relativly close to the city (about 10 - 15 ) minutes walk. My only gripe was that the bar closes at 1130 so no drink after a night out. The entertainment apart from special events was limited. Overall we had a very good 6 days

comments This hotel is a fab hotel and the staff are just so friendly. They were even so kind as to leave us a litle gift on new year which was a pleasent surprise. The rooms are lovely and bright and very spacous with lovely view if your lucky enough to get a top floor with a balcony as we did. I def would use this hotel again.

comments We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in December 06. The hotel is not really in the city centre and it is a good walk along the quays to get to OÇonnel Bridge but as it was only cold and not raining or anything that was not a problem for us. The Room was big and clean. Hotel staff were mostly foreign and now and then they had some trouble understanding what we said especially in the breakfast/restaurant room but everybody was very friendly. The Docklands area is still pretty much one big building pit and they started work at 7 in the morning but it did not bother me or my boyfriend too much but if you are a light sleeper you might not like it too much right now. Breakfast was okay but not great. Good value for money and if you dont mind a lot of construction around the hotel and a bit of a walk into town I would surely recommend this hotel.

comments I was extrememly impressed with the hotel, it was very clean, the staff were pleasant and helpful and the facitilies & rooms were excellent. The only disappointment was the restaurant. We had fully intended to have a meal there the night of our stay. Total rip off, the menu was unbelieveably expensive. 2 main courses, 2 deserts and a bottle of wine would easily have cost over Euro100. I've also stayed in the Quality hotel in Clonakilty, they have a set menu for Euro26 - the Dublin hotel could follow their example, they might even get more customers!

comments The hotel was lovely. We requested a balcony view room which we got but were not told of the building work that was going on which caused us to be up at 6am on the saturday morning. It was meant to be a relaxing break so we found that disappointing. We made the hotel aware of this and they sent 3bottles of red wine to each room to apolognise. it was very much appreciated, but feel that it maybe wasnt enough as in total 9 people were disrupted and some dont drink wine. If this comment could be forwarded on to the hotel and if we couldbe reimbursed in some way i would gratfully appreciate it.
