comments Initial room found to be a little noisy due to HVAC system opposite, highlighted this to reception who were able to change our room. All hotel staff extremely friendly. Rooms clean & comfortable. First negative being the room film service failed & this would have been used to view a few films during a 24 hour period, this charge was removed from the account. Second negative being a poor flow from the shower, on investigation by myself on the last morning found that the washer was a pierced tap washer instead of a proper washer, this restricted the flow - reported to reception. comments Loved the concierge guys: Thomas and Eugene! They were so helpful. The hotel itself is nice on the first floor but my room was a bit on the rundown side which I did not expect from the entrance. It was not horrible but not anything special. The location was good to walk to everything but was not someplace I felt safe walking to at night.

comments I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. I am a light sleeper, and I was relieved that I booked my stay at the Gresham once I saw how busy the Temple Bar area was. The Gresham was very quiet and orderly, and the room was very comfortable. Saturday night was a bit expensive, and the value received relative to the amount paid was a little lopsided, but this may have been due to the presence of an Ireland vs. Italy qualifying match in Dublin that night.

comments Check in/out seemed longer than needed. Evening meal price (EU35) was very reasonable. However, EU23 for a cooked breakfast and EU7.50 for a bottle of beer!! Way overpriced. May stay again, but not eat or drink.

comments this once grand hotel has a lot of ground to make up to reclaim its status as one of Dublin's finest. Simple things like shabby, thin towels and a really poor full irish breakfast need addressing. Places like this can get away with shabby grandeur - that can be part of the charm - but shoddy basics need correcting. Having said that location is excellent and staff were quite good.

comments Hotel looks slightly dated - but we got a very welcome (free) upgrade to a larger room with a very nice bathroom. The hotel restaurant served a good meal at a reasonable price and the service was very good. Relaxed and unrushed.

comments I wasn't pleased. The night before I met a friend for dinner and drinks at the Gresham. We lost track of time and I missed the bus. I was a few euro short for cab fare at 2am and the desk clerk refused to exchange currency even though I would be checking in 8 -10 hours on August 6. Then as soon as I get into the room, I took a bath and while drying my hair, the fire alarm went off. And my room was facing OConnell street so it was very noisy and difficult to sleep. The downstairs is very nice but disappointed with the room quality. Your concierges were wonderful and very friendly.

comments Our Sunday night stay at the Gresham was a wonderful experience. Having traveled from Eire to the Baltic from California, our stay at the Gresham was a special treat. The staff were courteous and efficient and the accomadation luxuriating.

comments Had been to the gresham before a few years back when it was getting a bit tatty, some work has obviously been done since then and the hotel restored to its famous grandeur. Though the surrounding area could do with some similiar TLC. The hotel lacked a bit on the service side when compared to the likes of the Morrisson hotel - the consierge could not help with restaurants and no porter service was offered which we found a bit surprising given the hotel's star ranking, so you're on your own there. Waiting staff were very friendly. It can be a bit noisey at night time as the doors have quite loose hinges. Was good for a couple of nights to get our bearings.

comments The Gresham is very central to everything and that is why we chose it but to start we were given a very non 4 star room. It got worse when we were woken at 6 in the morning by the trollies as the cleaning station was next to our bedroom. However after a very uncomfortable nights sleep we complained and were changed to a perfect room with great views over O'Connell street. Overall it is a great place to stay if you get the right room! However, beware any extras (e.g champagne) will cost you triple its usual price!!

comments The location of the Gresham Hotel is fantastic, right outside the main bus stops and close to all the main attractions. The entrance is spectacular and the rooms are spacious. The staff were helpful and pleasant and the breakfast and other facilities were good. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again if I went back to Dublin.
