comments I enjoyed the stay at the hotel staff was friendly & helpful and the liesure facilities was very well run the only downside was we were not able to book for a the earlybird meal as it was fully booked and this was when we arrived

comments Having celebrated a milestone birthday here 10 years ago ,the family decided to return for a weekend celebration and we certainly were not disappointed.The reception staff were excellent despite a busy weekend our room was upgraded .Dinner in the lovely Coast restaurant was superb in fact service throughout the hotel was excellent.Importantly the Hotel offers great value for money with fantastic weekend deals.Here is a place where the customer is valued. Well done to all the staff for a memorable weekend.

comments Have stayed many times and as usual room, food service and facilties excellent. Had a lovely sea view. Only niggle was car parking. Had to use the car park on the road behind the hotel which was a bit uneven and rough but this did not spoil a lovely stay!

comments Excellent service and welcome from receptionist on booking in was appreciated. Executive rooms were as expected good standard, one of our party had problems with lock on door which was quickly resolved. Meal in coast restaurant on Friday evening very good value and superb service from staff. Overall very impressed!

comments Have always loved the Grand in Malahide, we had a lovely seaview room, room was comfy, we were in the older part of the hotel, was cold along the corridors for some reason. Breafast on Sunday morning was hectic, never normally have to queue for your breakfast, but otherwise, breakfast was great. Lovely leisure centre...resommend the Grand in Malahide over all.

comments Staying at the Grand is always a pleasure and a treat which we like to do at least once a year, in my opinion the Grand is the hub of Malahide from which you can plan your day, great views over the Bay and the Marina, all within easy walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. We are due to stay again in March for the rugby weekend and can't wait. my only criticism of the Hotel is that Matt Ryan bar could do with a makeover to bring it into 21st century. Best wishes D. comments Good stay - onyl two negative comments. Neither the bar nor the restaurant appeared to serve rose wine. Red and white selection was good, but lack of rose was a problem as it was what we wanted with our meal. For the breakfast area - queueing for toast is a real turn off - could it not be sent out with the tea/coffee, so that the only queue is for the hot food bar?

comments really enjoyed our stay at your hotel the only problem being that the radiator in the bathroom was not working and as a result it was pretty chilly, did mention it to reception but was told it was a plumbing fault, the food was excellent, as were the staff, hope to be back sometime in the future.

comments Excellent. I asked for a room with a sea view, but what a view (room 203). One of the very nicest hotel rooms i've ever stayed in, and I've been in quite a few over the years! Staff superb in every area, friendly, efficient. If I could have one extremely minor (constructive) criticism, it is that there were only two tea bags in the room - a few more might have been welcome... overall though, keep it up!

comments Our overnight stay on New Year's Eve was a very late decision and booked online with specific requirements, eg wanted to eat in the Coast Restaurant. A prompt, friendly phone call from the Hotel ensured we had a table. Hotel is lovely and within easy walking distance of Malahide village. Food was excellent with a view over the bay included free of charge! Hotel staff very friendly, efficient and courteous. Location excellent within easy access to huge shopping centre and wonderful golf courses. Would definitely stay here again and take advantage of so many golf courses on your doorstep. Thank you for helping bring in 2012 in a very special way.

comments We were offered a complimentary upgrade at check-in, which was great but the room they gave us (209) was next to the function room. There was a wedding on and we could not sleep until it stopped at 1.40am. The room was quite warm (no air conditioning) so requested fan. Stay was very enjoyable. We had booked 2 nights but decided to stay a 3rd. Travelled with my Wife and 2 year old Daughter.

comments My wife and I stayed at The Grand for two nights in December 2011. I can onlyb say that our stay was very enjoyable and comfortable. I like The Grand and have used it several times when visiting Dublin. It is very convenient to Mallahide train Station which is a very good way of going into Dublin and does away with the hassle of parking. I would have no hesitation in using this hotel again. The full Irish breakfast is enough to keep one going for most of the day and the staff were very pleasant and helpfull

comments An exquisite hotel. Staff are friendly, courteous and efficient. Breakfast was excellent. Wewere unable to have dinner as the restuarant was closed on Monday, but next time we will ensure we are there for a couple of nights. Would highly recommend this hotel.

comments We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand and would recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in the Dublin area. Easy to reach the city centre with the DART and Malahide has lots of places to eat in the evening. Beside beaches and the sea for walking. A more relaxing way to visit the city.

comments On this occasion we booked room only as on our last visit we were extremely disappointed with our stay. I went to Reception early as we and was treated superbly by two of your Receptionists one I remembered before - I must admit I did ask that I would be most grateful if we would not be put in a room with a connecting door hence our last trip - I can only say we were thrilled with our lovely sea view room - we have stayed often and always got a beautiful room until again our last visit; so thank you for our lovely sea view. We did not eat or drink in the hotel; but as I said Reception and Housekeeping excellent. We will return. Thomas and Shirley Wilson

comments Upon evening arrival, The Grand was flooded in light and appeared to be a Historic Irish Hotel of First Class. The room was perfect and the quality of all hotel and restaurant services superb. This first experience at the hotel Grand will lead to other visits in the future I am sure.

comments We stayed for a weekend and had a fantastic experience Every member of staff were excellent and imaculately dressed from thoses who cleaned and dressed the rooms to management. they have got it right every where, the food was fantastic the guinness was one of the best I have tried and I have over 30 years experience. We stayed in an EX room which was a great size - the only problem was that the shower didn't work properly. Reported this to reception but was told that nothing could be done until Monday morning (we were leaving on Sun).

comments I booked your hotel on recommendation from other guests who had stayed there. I booked an executive room as it was a special birthday present for my partner and had requested a really nice room. The room that we were allocated appeared to be a standard one with no bathrobes. I was disappointed but did not want to ruin our break with an upset over the room.

comments Excellent weekend break as always. Hotel always improving service for guests- eg installed new keycard system in lifts to improve room security. All areas extremely well maintained & all staff polite & helpful. Hotel offers every facility a guest needs- leisure centre is outstanding Had excellent meal in dining room. Our only complaint was the layout of the breakfast buffet tables & the organisation of staff for breakfast. Think this could be improved. The staff were overly zealous about clearing our table. When we came back with our hot breakfast our toast, tea & coffee pots had been cleared away this happened both mornings! The area around the hot buffet & toasters was crowded & we had to queue for longer than we would have liked. Maybe the toasters could be relocated to another area. But we will definitely be back. Love it!

comments We stayed at the Grand Hotel Malahide Valentines weekend 2011. Everything was perfect and far exceeded our expectations. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with fabulous views, the hotel staff were proffessional, friendly and very helpful. We only had breakfast in the hotel ( which was great ), as the hotel is in such a good location for walking to the town and marina. I work in the travel industry, so stay in a lot of hotels, but we were more than impressed with the Grand, we will certainly return and have already highly recommended it to friends and colleagues. We felt that the Grand and Malahide were charming and glamorous, we had a wonderful weekend.

comments This is the third time I stayed at the hotel and regretfully compared to other times I was disappointed. This was due to the fact our rooms were at the back overlooking leisure complex and was very dark, service in the dinning room on Saturday night was poor, the the meal took over 2 1/2 hours with no one coming to us between starter and main course for over 1 hour and when attempting to use the complex there was no lockers with keys available. Having said this I would not discount staying here again based on my previous experience.

comments I wish to say a huge thank you to the staff in the restaurant they were really helpful especially since the dining room for the early bird menu as booked out and they especially reserved a lovely corner table for our party and rang the rooms to say it was ready for us. So a HUGE thank you to them we were most greatful indeed. and to the reception staff who helped us surprise dad on his birthday by letting us into his room early.

comments Our stay at the Grand Hotel Malahide was a great success from arrival to departure. The welcome on Reception when we arrived was very warm and Mary the Receptionist was helpful and friendly. Following other reviews of the hotel, we opted for an executive room and were glad that we did. Room was very comfortable and the sea/harbour view was lovely especially as we were lucky enough to have 2 sunny mornings. We ate in Matt Ryan's bar on both nights and the food was really nice, a quirky touch with the fish and chips was the cone that the chips came in. On our last day we actually returned to the hotel to try out the carvery (on way back to airport) and again the food was great. We can't wait to return to the hotel again as soon as possible, Malahide is a lovely place to visit, and the hotel was the icing on the cake. Thanks for a lovely stay.

comments Having stayed in the Grand Hotel prior to xmas it was a very easy decision to return in February. his hotel has everything yo could wish for, a great location with very freindly pubs and restaurants withing 5 minutes walk, freindly staff and excellent rooms. I booked 5 rooms for freinds to come over from the UK and they all thought that ths hotel was exceptional and excellent value for money. We are already planning to return. It is very hard to find fault with ts hotel. I would much rather stay in tihs location and commute in and out of Dublin city centre.....

comments The hotel website does not inform that the fitness suite and pool are outside the main hotel building, although it is just a few metres across the carpark, it would be useful to now this in advance. We were disappointed that our room was not ready for check in at 3.30pm, this seems to be ample time for turnover in other hotels, but we were very pleased with the breakfast service, a good selection of food and plenty of attentive staff on hand.

comments We couldnt check into our room till nearly 4pm which was inconvenient, and the room was cold when we entered. had to call someone to fix our heating. Rad in the bathroom was off and it was freezing. The water in the shower was only a trickle!

comments Leisure facilities were fabulous. Room was comfy but chilly and a policy were the heating does not come on until 6pm in January is ridiculous. Also, I was told the bathrooms are no longer heated because of health and safety - not good enough. Food was OK but menu limited and didn't change during my 4 day stay. Staff were all very friendly and really helpful.

comments I love going to The Grand Hotel at Malahide as it's location is brilliant. Not to far from the motorway, great long seaside walks, great Spa facilities, comfortable rooms, at least that was our expectations, ruined only by the fact we had to wait ages to get the keys to our room. Arrived early to be told room would be ready at 2.30pm then 3.00pm then eventually 3.30pm. Nearly ruined our stay be it had started...... Did not seem that the reception staff know what was going on? Even when we got our keys we had to weave past cleaning staff trollies on our level to get to our rooms. A bit disappointing start!!!!!!! Room and en-suite were clean. May look elsewhere for our next visit to Dublin. It's the small things that make a great time away. Our friends enjoyed it but for me it could have been better. Breakfast! You really need to do something to get better tasting beans!!!!!

comments We did not know that breakfast began at 7:30 on Sundays rather than 7. It would be helpful to have this listed somewhere. However, the staff was very kind and packed some fruit and pastries for us to take on our early departure. We really appreciated that!

comments My family had a lovely stay at the Grand Hotel after Christmas. The rooms were lovely and the staff helpful and friendly. Two comments however, at check in at 3.30pm one room was not ready and we did not get into the room until 5pm. Our grandchildren had to wait to go to the leisure complex until we unpacked. Secondly, we have stayed at the Grand Hotel for many years and still regret the withdrawal of waiter service at breakfast. I appreciate the convenience of buffet service but it does not add to the standard of the hotel. Overall a very pleasant stay.

comments Great hotel, convenient for the bus line to the airport and the DART connection to Dublin. The WIFI connection in the lobby was very useful, would have been nice to have the WIFI in the room instead of the paid Internet access to check email and travel reservations.

comments We had a truly excellent stay with you the food, the room, the spa, the general atmosphere and the price were all great. It is the second time that I have been and I will definitely be back when I next come to work in Ireland. I have only one negative comment that you should know about. We stayed in the "excecutive wing" and every time that we went to the lift on both the 1st floor and the 3rd floor we were confonted with piles of rubbish such as plates of food and empty bottles. One plate of mouldy fruit was sat on the windowsill next to the lift for the most of our time in the hotel. It has not affected our opinion of the hotel but I think it would affect some guests so maybe it should be adressed. -- Thanks and merry Xmas to you all.

comments We were very well looked after by Dermot. Three twin Rooms for my five sisters and myself well in advance, but we were not given 3 rooms beside each other. The duty manager Dermot sorted us out and we were very grateful. Even though the weather was extreme our stay was great, The food and service was excellent. Melanie and staff in the restaurant were great. My sisters and I will be back.

comments Following a disappointing stay several years ago, I was impressed with a much improved attitude and willingness to help. My wife and I enjoyed an evening meal with courteous but unobtrusive service in the restaurant, good food and a beautiful view across the marina. The room allocated was spacious and clean with amenities in keeping with the four star staus. The Leisure Centre was clean and well maintained. Breakfast provided a wide choice and again to a high standard. Overall my wife and I enjoyed a very relaxing stay and are looking forward to our next autumn break.

comments This being our first time at The Grand, having been recommended it by lots of our friends and business colleagues, we have to say that everything lived up to our expectations and beyond. Beautiful, homely and very welcoming, fantastic room, great leisure facilities and the most polite and courteous staff i have ever met. Being in business myself i know word of mouth is the best form of advertising and therefore i too will be highly recommending The grand to a whole lot more people. One suggestion might be that the hotel provide some form of evening entertainment in the guise of a live band perhaps specially those with younger children who would prefer to stay in the Hotel complex at night. apart from that....first class! and Thank you..

comments The first impression of the hotel as you arrive is indeed, Grand! Staff in general, very friendly. Reception staff in hotel and at the Arena leisure centre were very helpful. Rooms are well equipped/ furnished, clean and comfortable. Lots to choose from at breakfast buffet and the meals in the Matt Ryan bar are very tasty. The Arena leisure centre is well equipped and the swimming pool/spa has a relaxing atmosphere. This was my second stay here and I would have no hesitation about recommending Grand Hotel, Malahide to anyone.

comments I use the grand hotel a few times a year for business, on other occassions i bring the family, it is great for business stay as it is close enough to dublin but after work is out of the city in a more relaxed setting. The family love it as it is a beautiful hotel with great leisure facilities, the kids spend the day in the pool while the adults use the pool and jaqussi and sauna and steam room, there is also the gym and beauty salon. The staff are all helpful and friendly, and the food is great. Outside in malahide is lovely with plenty of resturants and bars, and little boutiques for shopping. The Castle and its grounds are great with a brilliant childrens playground. My family love visiting the Grand Hotel.

comments The staff at the Grand Hotel Malahide were extremely helpful. Our flight from the U.S. arrived an hour early at 7:00 Am, and the staff at the hotel was able to put us into a room right away. Also, when our original plans fell apart, we were able to extend our stay over a Friday and Saturday night. We love the proximity to the center of Malahide and the DART station. This was our second stay and will certainly not be our last.

comments this was my 2nd visit to the Grand and luckily it coincided with the Malahide Festival. It is a perfect venue with great facilities and views and easy access to the beautiful howth pennisula. The front of house staff are second to none and quickly made our dinner reservation for us in the village. thanks again and hope to visit again soon catherine

comments This was the second time my wife and I have stayed at The Grand and I would highly recommend the Hotel to anyone wishing to stay in first class surroundings. The staff were very helpful, approachable and pleasant yet professional in their dealings with us. The breakfasts supplied were of a high standard and again the staff were well organised, courteous and helpful. The Hotel is of a very high standard and the leisure facilities compliment it well. Access to Dublin City is close at hand via the Dart train however there is much to content the visitor in the surrounding area. 5 star.

comments Our room was not ready on our arrival and due to this small delay we were upgraded to an executive room with a sea view at no extra charge. We were very happy with our accommodation. The grand hotel is a very well run hotel. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was delicious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

comments The time before our recent visit to the Grand, there was major construction going on and we could not even open our window with all the dust and there was scaffolding obscuring most of the window looking out over our view (of the car park). Although having been many times before and enjoying our stay, we decided not to come back until building work was completed.This time we asked for (if possible) and were given a room with a sea view. We were delighted with everything this time and will definitely be back again!

comments My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Grand Hotel and hope that we will get the opportunity to return. The waitress in the bar was particularly helpful and pleasant - though she was extremely busy, nothing was a problem to her. I had something to eat in the bar one lunchtime, but did not realise until later that there was a buffet in thr room through the bar. Possibly there was a sign somewhere but my only suggestion is that it should be made more obvious for new guests to the hotel.

comments We have been visiting The Grand Hotel at Malahide for many years as dining guests and have always wanted to stay there. Our Mum's family lives a few miles away and we visit regualrly. We were certainly not disappointed. The room was large and comfortable with everything we needed. Food was of a very high standard as always and a great welcome in the bar from Luke. The Guinness is defintely better in Dublin! The thing that struck us most and which sets your hotel apart, is the way it's managed and the high quality of your staff throughout. We never once heard or saw anything in terms of managment that a guest shouldn't see. And yet it was clear that staff were well managed, knew their role and went about their business effectively and efficiently. You must be very proud of all your staff who we found to be courteous, friendly and helpful at every turn. Out of choice, we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Dublin. However, the toilet in No. 817 didn´t work the first day, and although I claimed that at the reception it wasn´t fixed. comments My husband and I have stayed at The Grand many times and have always enjoyed our stay. This last trip in May2010 we brought visitors from Canada they loved the hotel the accomodation the staff and the great breakfast. We have also had many friends from U.S.A. with us and their impression was the same. Malahide is a charming village and I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here at the Grand Hotel.

comments My stay at The Grand Hotel was excellent. We were there for my nephews wedding, the Tolson wedding. The rooms were beautiful large and spacious with every amenity available, the maid service excellent. All staff were polite and helpful to a fault. comments In a beautiful location it is perfect for walks in to portmarnoc and at night plenty of restaurants to visit. Saying that, the restaurant in the hotel itself was delicious and one of our most reasonably priced meals. We were able to make use of the excellent leisure facilities where the staff were extremely friendly. Staff were very accommodating on our check out day, storing not only our luggage but a fresh flower, reflecting this hotels willingness to go above the usual standards of service to ensure a good stay. We have booked our next visit already!

comments Everyone in the hotel helped to make our weekend a complete rest. The Coast Restaurant was fantastic - compliments to the chef. Staff were all exceptionally helpful and friendly, even when evidently busy (Saturday night) they had time for friendly comments and ready smiles. We ate in the Coast Restaurant on Friday and were going to eat out on Saturday, but could not find anywhere locally with a menu as varied and attractive. Well done to all the hotel staff and thanks for making it a weekend to remember.

It really contributed in that romantic week-end I had with my little half. Spa complex is also nice. Just a little drawback, was very surprised to find no minibar in the room of a 4* hotel. comments Just one comment - not really a complaint, but.... The duvets were EXTREMELY luxurious and warm and because of this we found it difficult to sleep comfortably. A top sheet would have made all the difference because it could have been used instead of the duvet! Apart from that, the hotel was excellent and we enjoyed our stay. Would love to stay again.

comments I stayed with my two children at the Grand Hotel and had a wonderful time. Service was excellent, rooms were immaculate and roomy. The breakfast was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. My children and I had a great time in the pool. This was our first trip to Malahide and we will definitely be staying at the Grand again!

comments We stayed at the Grand Hotel for one night. Although our room was small, it was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful at all times. Our rate included breakfast, which was delicious - plenty of choice and pleasant dining atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again.

comments We recently had our wedding at the Grand Hotel spending three nights there. Food was excellent, rooms were spacious and modern and hotel spotless clean. Very child friendly, excellent healthy menu for kids. Staff are the most professional and friendly I have come across, nothing more could have been done for us.

This was our second stay at The Grand and the standard of accommodation could not be faulted, from the warm welcome we received from the hotel reception staff on our arrival to the service and standard of food served in the delightful Coast restaurant. comments I stayed here on a business trip for one night. I chose this hotel for proximity to the airport. I was very pleasantly surprised by value for the money. Executive rooms are definitely worth the cost of upgrade. For a business traveler, this hotel was a gift to body and soul. Full gym, seaview rooms, great walking opportunities, good restaurants nearby. Executive rooms are quite spacious. Breakfast is good. I will definitely stay again.

comments Fifteen of us stayed a weekend in the Grand Hotel. We had a fantastic time, the place was lovely. The rooms were very comfortable. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble, from organising an area in the bar for an impromptu champagne meet and greet to arranging taxis for everyone. I'm looking forward to my next stay there.

comments We had been upgraded by the staff to an executive room which was a good size and very well presented and had a lovely view of the bay. i really enjoyed a swim in the country club and the gym looks out over the water. even the bar food was very good. I will definately be staying again.

comments The leisure centre was a great addition to the hotel, and wasn't too busy. The reception staff were very helpful and arranged for an early breakfast to be brought to the room as I was catching an early flight that morning. The hotel itself was clean, tidy and very welcoming. I'd definitely stay here again!

comments Es war unser zweiter Aufenthalt im Grand. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommennd, besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Frühstücksservice und die Dame an der Rezeption, die vorwiegend abends da war. Das Zimmer war sauber und sehr geräumig. Obwohl wir in der Vorsaison da waren, harrten die Servicekräfte in der Bar bis zum letzten Gast. Es gab immer einen Parkplatz vor der Tür. Rund herum ein gelungener Aufenthalt. Wir haben auch zwei Mal in der Bar gegessen. Besonders sind die Muscheln zu empfehlen, auch hier gab es nichts zubeanstanden. Ich werde bestimmt wieder kommen.

comments As part of my career, i stay in Hotels in Ireland and Internationally on a weekly basis.I recently stayed at the Grand Hotel Malahide, and I have to say it was one of the best 4* Properties I have ever stayed in. The one thing about the hotel, was it was incredibly clean, it was spotless. Food quality at Breakfast and Bar Food was excellent, location perfect and staff very attentive and professional. If all 4* hotels could match the high standards here wouldn't I be very lucky, and also you, so go on trust my experience and give this 'Grand' hotel a go! I loved the Christmas decorations and the open fire in the different salons. Very cosy. The staff is very friendly, helpful and discrete. Excellent food also. A place I long to return to.

comments A good sized room graet views over the harbour and estuary at breakfast, the DART Railway into Dublin is 10 minutes walk cheap and quick. Malahide has plenty of restaraunts. The staff where very helpful

comments My husband and I have been going to the Grand Hotel for our Christmas weekend away together for the past 8 years and we love it. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere with pleasant staff. Very conveniently located for the train station into the city center. The breakfast is fab and the food in the restaurant is equally good. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to spend a weekend either shopping in Dublin or taking in a show.

comments we had gone through a tough time at home due to illness of a family member and the night away in the grand hotel malahide was nothing but perfect. we arrived at 6.20 pm saturday eve to a warm and inviting reception - met with a very nice person - mary who checked us in. our room was perfect . drinks in bar, and breakfast the next morning was excellent. overall a perfect night, really what we both needed. the icing on the cake was the brilliant deal we got - E90 total for 2 people including breakfast. if there was more deals like this "even in the recession" it would encourage more well earned nights away. thanks again for a wonderful stay.

comments Have stayed a the Grand on two occassions and both times have had an highly enjoyable time. Saff are very friendly, leisure facilities excellent and breakfast first class. Very easy nearby train access to Dublin. I would however recommend trying out restaurants in the village for dinner rather than sticking to the hotel.

comments The hotel is beautifully decorated. We stayed in a standard double which was large enough and very clean. The leisure centre is great for a relaxing swim/jacuzzi before heading into the village which has many quality restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. The train station is within walking distance too for anyone wanting to take a trip to the city centre.I would highly recommend this hotel.

comments The Grand is a fantastic hotel, comfortable, clean and with very friendly and welcoming staff. The restaurant has beautiful stained glass windows and excellent food! The location is also great, with gorgeous views across the water, and just a short walk from malahide station.

comments I stayed at the Grand hotel amny years ago and the rooms have been refurbished since then. My room was very comfortable and although the nearest room to the lift, there was no noise at all. Breakfasts were excellent and I had an evening meal in Matt Ryans Bar. It was excellent. Staff were very pleasant at all times. I used the pool and it was lovely to be able to swim in a decent sized pool. I appreciated being able to use the pool at a time when children were excluded. I was travelling into Dublin each day on business and the Grand Hotel is very convenient for that. The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the Dart train, with a regular service. Security in the hotel is excellent-you cannot go up in the lift unless you have a room key. I intend to return for a leisure break-Malahide itself is lovely and to explore Dublin from a very convenient base.

comments Very good stay even though we were there for a night away from the kids, this is an ideal hotel to bring your fsmily to, great pool area and great child amenities in the area, check out malahide castle. Only drawback if you like a bath in your ensuite, make sure you say beforehand.

comments The new reception is great; spacious, light and airy with good seating groups. The room we had was comfortable and very clean. A 5' bed would have been good and less bulky television on the dressing table. The meal we had in the evening and the breakfasts were appetizing, well cooked and presented. Staff were courteous and efficient. A good experience and I'm sure we will return.

comments Town of Malahide with lots of great little restaurants and pubs literally 5 min walk from the Hotel. Beach about 2 mins walk! Good size swimming pool - very clean. Hotel rooms modern and staff friendly and helpful. Great spot for a long weekend with (or without!) the kids.

comments Although the hotel is undergoing extensive refurbishment and an extension. The service and overall stay at the hotel was excellent. The works did not at any time disturb or distract from the time there.

comments Great winter short break, warm friendly staff, roaring fire in the lounge to welcome the weary. Executive rooms at front of hotel large and comfortable with little or no noise from function rooms. Meals in restaurant and breakfasts excellent! Choice of suberb local restaurants within 5 mins walk.

comments The Grand Hotel was everything we were hoping it would be. It was GRAND and the surroundings very beautiful. Our room was very nice, comfortable with a view of the sea. We really enjoyed our afternoon teas - we sat in the lobby in wing backed chairs, read our books and people watched. FANTASTIC!!!

comments Staff were extremely helpful. The Hotel was very clean. The food was as expected. My daughter said her dessert was one of the best she had ever had.The breakfast was variable-although there was a lot of choice. The room we had was a little noisy as just outside were extractor fans, this would not have been a problem but it was warm and we had to have the window wide open, this was partly my fault for not bringing it to the attention of the staff. The spa was good but a little cold poolside. We liked Malahide and pleased we stayed at The Grande.
