comments I had read extremely bad reviews on this hotel after booking however even though the hotel could do with a refurb and looks outdated, the rooms are clean. The breakfast is good and really you get what you pay for, if you want a cheap break in Dublin this hotel is fine. I was on a hen weekend and would recommend it for this type of occassion.

comments Not very impressed! The room was fine, but we asked twice for more pillows as there were no spares in the room and never got any so woke up every morning with backache! Breakfast on the first morning was so awful that we went elsewhere for the rest of our stay (cold bacon, undercooked sausage and cold baked beans). I expectd the hotel to be cheap and cheerful - yes it was cheap, but even for the money I would have expected better. Definitely won't be going back I'm afraid.

comments Perfect location for us four guys on a pub crawl tour. The pub directly in the hotel was fine for us but might be too loud for couples looking for a quiet place to stay. We were a little worried because there were quite a few very negative comments on the internet concerning the George Frederic Handel Hotel but were very satisfied that we could not confirm those comments. Rooms and breakfast were absolutely OK for a 3-star hotel. We will take this hotel again on our next visit to Dublin.

comments We had read bad comments relating to the hotel, so were very worried prior to arrival. Yes, the hotel is looking a little tired, but overall it was good value for money, bed was comfortable and the En suite clean, friendly cleaners and reception staff. They allowed us to check in early, which was much appreciated. The downstairs bar could do with refurbishment though. Breakfasts were adaquate and well cooked with plenty of tea and toast being offered by friendly, efficient staff. If you are used to modern, plastic hotels with all the costly nice bits, don't go there. If you just want to enjoy Dublin and use it as a place to stop, you probably won't get better value for your Euro's.

comments Since I usually stay at "Cost Affective" hotels when in major cities, I had my fingers crossed when we arrived at the George Fredrick Handel hotel in Dublin, Ireland. I was glad to see it was located on a narrow, S shaped connector street and subjected to minimal traffic. The room was bright and clean, and the Reserevation clerk was friendly and courteous. Overall, a pleasant memory. Charles Myers, Washington State.

comments The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and it is in a good location if you want to go shopping or out on the town. No car park thou. While this might not be an issue for some people it was for me. The nearest car park is the Christchurch car park and that was full when we arrived so I had to park the car in Temple Bar Car park and this of course adds expense to your trip.

The window catch was broken and it was difficult to shut the window. We were on the second floor. The information book was not up to date.

comments The hotel is adequate, rooms are clean and big enough for a short stay but nothing special. Breakfast was disappointing but sufficient although the vegetarian option was a bit strange. The staff were fine but we didn't really have many dealings with them. The bar on Saturday night was noisy until late but it didn't stop us from sleeping as we'd had enough Guiness. The main benefits of the hotel were that it was reasonably priced and in a good location, which was why we chose it. We didn't expect a wonderful hotel and it suited us (two couples) very well.

comments We stayed in the George Frederic Handel Hotel in November 2006 and had a very spacious triple room. The decor was lovely and the hotel is ideally located in the city centre within easy walking distance to Temple Bar yet secluded away from noise. Breakfast was lovely, prompt service and friendly staff. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central hotel which is great value for money.
