comments Very pleasant room and good location, just a few minutes walk from St. Stephen's Green and the many sights of downtown. Close to bus stops to/from the airport. My only concern was external noise due to old window--perhaps sealing would help. Would love a breakfast option but I stayed off-peak and knew this wasn't available beforehand. Great communication and friendly staff. Stairs only.

comments My family and I spent four nights at the Fitzwilliam Townhouse over the Christmas holiday. The four of us shared a suite that was comfortable and clean. The location is central to the center of Dublin, and the staff is friendly and helpful yet unobtrusive. The rates are excellent for what is offered. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Fitzwilliam.

comments Because of a water leak in what would have been our room, we were transferred to the Baggot Street House Hotel. The handling of the situation was entirely satisfactory. The rating given is for that hotel and we are unable to rate the Fitzwilliam .

comments Where do I begin? This is such a great place to stay. It's conveniently located, close to bus stops and within walking distance of many great places, such as parks, Trinity College and Temple Bar. The price was extremely affordable, and the room was spotlessly clean. But the absolute best thing about Fitzwilliam Townhouse is the customer service. You just cannot beat the helpful staff, who assisted us with everything from directions to transportation schedules and locations to printing out our boarding passes. Everything done with a smile and genuine warmth. I cannot say enough about the terrific front desk staff! All in all, I would highly recomment the Fitzwilliam Townhouse for your stay in Dublin.

comments Very comfortable and convenient. Extremely nice and helpful staff. Missed being able to have breakfast but understand a new restaurant opening is on the near horizon. The only other shortcoming is the absence of a lift, if your room is the higher floors. Overall very good value.

Owners are very friendly and helpful with touristy issues, recommending good value for your money, not necessarily the most popular/famous. They seem to thoroughly enjoy what they do. Great breakfast room and delicious food.

comments I stayed at Fitzwilliam Townhouse while in Dublin with two adult children. The location was great for getting into the center of town, catching the LUAS, sight seeing, and still enjoying the "quieter" neighborhood pubs and restaurants. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. The staff was helpful and friendly, and very accommodating when our travel plans were changed by Hurricane Irene. Thanks for a great stay in Dublin!

comments We had a very nice stay at the Fitzwiliiam Townhouse. On the last night of our stay music from a local bar or party ruined our sleep until 3 a.m. but aside from that experience the staff and townhouse worked weil for our visit to Dublin.

comments The house is close to the center which is really cool because you don´t have to take a cab every time you want to go out. We booked a room for four people and the room we got was nice and actually big enough for all of us (not like what we experienced at other places...) We enjoyed our stay!

The room was tidy and the the amenities were more than adequate and the pub across the street proved a wealth of Guiness, good fare and great conversation. It made my stay in Dublin that much better. comments The FitzWilliam Townhouse was a wonderful place to stay in Dublin. The accomodations were clean, comfortable and affordable. The receptoinists were very helpful and kind. We greatly enjoyed our stay at the FitzWilliam and its central location made walking to popular tourist sites very easy. I would reccomend the FitzWilliam Townhouse to anyone taking a Holiday in Dublin.

comments The walk up to the 4th floor (up 8 flights of stairs) was a surprise. But the help that the Fitzwilliam employee provided with luggage was much appreciated. Larry Murphy's across the street was a very cool and welcoming pub!

comments Loveyly little Town House - really comfortable, would def stay there again & recommend it to friends. No breakfast but meant we could sleep a little longer :-) Also no parking but wasn't a problem as we parked 5 mins down the rd in the Burlington Hotel for €10 for 24hrs. comments The staff was amazing. They went above and beyond helping us drive to to the location as we drove into Dublin at night for the first time in our lives. They also helped me find parking and took me to the location instead of giving me directions. The toilet in the room had a problem with flushing and the problem was fixed by the staff immediately. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Thank you for all your help.

comments We stayed at the townhouse for 5 nights and were very pleased. The staff was very personable and helpful. The room was cozy, clean and comfortable. We felt that we were close to all the highlights of Dublin and we walked to them all each day. Definitely would recommend the Fitzwilliam Townhouse and if ever in Dublin again woud be sure to stay there.

He brought our heavy baggage from ground floor to our room. And we were there around mid night though he was very friendly. Actually other staffs were also nice. They were familiar like a friend so we could relaxed. I love there and all of staffs.

comments We had an enjoyable stay at Fitzwilliam. We were there from Dec 3-5 and that was the weekend Dublin had snow and it felt as if half the city had shutted down. Despite the cold, our rooms were warm and cozy nice. Clean sheets, towels, simple but apt room decor. Clean room, beds and bathroom were impt for us and our room definitely passed the WHITE & SPARKLING test. Water pressure (with hot water) great. Proximity to main attractions at this value price can't get any better. The people working there were cheery, helpful and always polite. There wasn't any escalator but no worries as the steps weren't difficult either... very pleasant stay overall and I'll be sure to always go back to fitzwilliam if I'm back in Dublin again.

Essendo una casa georgiana non c'è ovviamente l'ascensore e le 5 rampe di scale per raggiungere la nostra camera che si trovava all'ultimo piano si sono fatte sentire, ma nonostante tutto il soggiorno qui è stato molto soddisfacente. La zona è facilmente raggiungibile con i mezzi pubblici e a pochi passi dal centro.

comments The Fitzwilliam House is at a great location, convenient to everything. The rooms are large and have lots of extras. It is a good value for your money. There is not an elevator so it can be a big trek up four flights of stairs but worth it if you are capable of climbing.

Lots of good pubs and restaurants just around the corner, markets to pick up snacks and fruit, and the Green Bus stopped just a few streets away. A nice walk through the park and a short walk to GRafton Street - we had a good location, and the right price, to do it all.

Our room was tasteflly decorated and very clean.The number 10 bus was very useful from O.Connel Street which just stops around the corner. On our leave we were allowed to leave our case when we vacacted the room to collect later on in the day. Would stay here again.

A bus stop by the townhouse takes you right downtown to O'Connell Street, where just about any connection with other public transportation routes is possible. There are great restaurants and pubs right in the neighborhood. Traffic can be a little loud early in the evening, and city lights can be a nuisance, but these are hardly the establishment's fault. My family agrees: we'll stay here again next time we're in Dublin.

comments It's always tricky booking from pictures, but we were pleasantly pleased upon arrival at the Fitzwilliam It lived up to its reviews and we were glad we based our decision to book on those reviews. The Fitwilliam is ideally located in Dublin--an easy walk on Lower Baggot Street to St. Stephen's Green/Grafton Street and the Quay for catching a bus to other destinations. My sister and I had the room at the very top of the stairs and we weren't bothered by not having a lift. It was secure, quiet, warm, had very comfy beds and was quite adequate for our needs and the price was great. Has nearby shops, pubs, restaurants without the noise of traffic of more central locations. My sister and I walked home from John Kehoe's pub off Grafton Street at midnight and we felt perfectly safe, even stopped for a doner kebap and chips to take back to our room. Would highly recommend the Fitzwilliam and plan to return on future trips.

comments I have very little to complain about during my stay at Fitzwilliam. I came prepared knowing there was no lift so, at 20, didn't mind walking up to the fourth floor. (That's just me, though). The room was clean, and was kept so! The restaurant in the basement was also delicious and affordable and the gentleman working there was very kind. The internet did not work at all on the fourth floor. I had to go down to the third. This was only slightly annoying. My only complaint is that several times when asking for directions I was lead the wrong way by the concierge. I'm not sure what is up with this. I asked which DART to take to Killiney was told to take the one towards Manheim. As a foreigner I did not know this was the OPPOSITE direction until twenty minutes into the ride. Needless to say, I never asked for directions again. This is not to be mistaken for the attitude, however, as all the receptionists were VERY kind! In conclusion, I would stay here again.

comments I stayed at Fitzwilliam Townhouse for 5 nights during January 2010. My twin room was on the second floor (two flights of stairs), and facing the main road. Traffic noise was not much of a problem despite the hotel being located right at a junction of two major roads. The room was not luxurious but spacious, clean and comfortable with suitable en-suite bathroom and nice shower, so exactly what I had been looking for. The hotel is located in a nice area of town right in the middle of the Georgian part of Dublin, away from loud and noisy pubs but within easy walking distance to the town centre and many interesting sights and places. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I happened to be in Dublin right during the great snowy cold spell but my stay was very enjoyable. The staff showed great concern that their guests were comfortable and warm enough, and made sure that the central heating worked well to keep the rooms nice and cosy. The bed was comfortable, too, and there were coffee and tea making facilities in the room. The big flatscreen television did not have all the channels listed in the room folder, and unfortunately, something seem to have been wrong with the aerial as picture and sound of the available channels were of low quality. I did not regard this as too much of a problem as I had not come to Dublin to watch a lot of television, but to somebody else this might be a greater concern and might need to be checked out. There is no food/breakfast included in the room prices. You can have breakfast in a cafe next door but I cannot say anything about that as I haven't used it myself. Overall, a very pleasant stay that completely fulfilled my expectations, I would stay there again in the future and I would definitely recommend the hotel to others.

This was taken care of extremely well with no delays and breakfast added free for the inconvenience. The manager, Cosminia, did an excellent job. You have an outstanding innkeeper and Team in your employ and hopefully you recognize this in her compensation and give her "personal thank you's". We stayed at both facilities during our stay and were very satisfied with the accommodations and staff assistance. We would recommend staying at both townhomes to all of our friends..

comments Considering that we booked a room for the price of staying in a double in a hostel with no ensuite bathroom, I was really happy. Here we got a bathroom (yes, the showers are small) in good shape and the staff were really friendly.

comments Friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and always well refreshed every day. We asked for a SOFT BED, but didn't get one. However a blanket left in a wardrobe acted as a mattress cover and although we did not sleep well, we didn't sleep very badly.

comments I was very pleased that the Guesthouse was just as described--very clean and homey. My family of 4 had a quad room and it was quite comfortable. The location was central to the main Dublin sights such that we were able to walk to everything. Best of all was the friendly staff, who had spot-on restaurant recommendations and who even helped us arrange to park our rental car at an available space at the other (Baggot?) Guesthouse, saving us a couple days of on-street parking fees. Loved the famous Doors of Dublin in this Georgian part of town.

comments The staff were warm and friendly and very helpful. Our family room was clean and freshened every day. We are a family of four, 4 adults --great value. Great location too! Tip: My luggage was delayed and continental listed my hotel as the Fitzwilliam hotel--luckily I caught the mistake so my luggage was deliverd to the right place.

comments We were very pleased with Fitzwilliam Townhouse. Our corner room was bright and airy with a nice high ceiling, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a few blocks further than ideal from the center of things (although because of its location we visited the nearby 29 Fitzwillliam Street museum which turned out to be my daughter's favorite in Dublin). It was very good value for the money, and we would stay there again.

comments The checkin is super fast, hotel townhouse is small, simple and quiet. Very helpful & friendly reception box. The crackling noise while you walk on the staircases are a bit annoying. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend this place if you are out on business the whole day and need a nice place for the night.

comments We were especially pleased with the chauffeur service offered by the hotel. The driver was there on time, was very pleasant, and had our room keys for us-- very important service as we arrived at 5 a.m.! The room was quite spacious and despite being right at street level, fairly quiet. The shower was very small and could not conveniently accommodate the shower seat we needed. We appreciate the effort in getting us the seat even though it didn't fit the very small corner shower unit.

comments Friendly helpful staff, very clean room. However, I think that it is not particularly ecological to put so much blue in the loo.....after all it ends up in Dublin Bay and the Irish Sea....not a good idea as I dont want to be eating blue fish in time.

comments Lovely B&B in a mellow, gorgeous area replete with Georgian architecture. It's within walking distance to Temple Bar and Trinity, but both are about a fifteen minute walk; the tradeoff is that you get a quiet room in the evenings when you want to sleep. Our room was on the first floor, and we never had a problem with noise levels. We were near the restaurant, however, and one night we felt the room (and thus our clothing) smelled a bit like food. But other than that, a great stay; recommended for a very reasonably priced, clean, and newly renovated room!

comments Cute little place great for a couple that wants to tour Dublin. We didn't spend much time in the room, but it exceeded all our expectations. Great location too, so that it was not in the middle of the shopping and bar area, but close enough to walk easily. I definitely recommend it to someone who doesn't need all the extravagance, but enjoys a pleasant hotel experience.

comments Location was excellent, an easy walk into town. It was reasonable value for money but we booked the room on a room only basis expecting to pay extra for breakfast but breakfast was not available at the hotel. On arrival we were told that we had a room on the top floor and there is no lift. As it happened it was not a problem for us carting our bags up six flights of stairs. We would stay there again but only if we are on our own. We intend to visit Dublin with a relative who has a heart condition and due to the stairs we would have to look at other options on that occasion.

comments This is a clean, no nonsense central hotel, which is good value for money for a hotel in the middle of Dublin. The staff were helpful, the hotel is extremely accessible to the city centre, and I had no problems whatsoever throughout my stay.
