comments You are to be commended on the friendliness of you front of house team and their genuine interest in you and making your stay pleasant. The Howth suite was warm and inviting and the view magnificent. My only comment is the bathroom is a little dated but my stay was a good one and I will come back.

comments La habitación familiar era espaciosa y confortable. La atención del personal correcta y resolvieron con prontitud los problemas que les planteamos. El servicio en el restaurante PJ es excelente. Lo peor: sólo tienen un tipo de pan sin gluten que limita el desayuno a los celiacos. El moviliario, sobretodo las puertas, necesita una reparación, tienen muchos golpes.

comments it was many many years since i last visited the hotel pre the extension! so you can imagne how delighted i was to see that time had not robbed this hotel of its graciousness not only in its surroundings but extended to the staff one and all so comfortable were we that we extended our stay. i would like to suggest that one would have the option of continental breakfast in the dining room in the morning.

comments The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I was having difficulty accessing the internet with my laptop from my room - and the staff were great at helping me diagnosis the problem. Rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

comments We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions in Winter and Summer. It has a homely welcome. Good food and comfortable accommodation. The staff are ALL friendly, helpful and professional. It is located just beside the DART and easy assess to Dublin City. We would recommend this hotel for couples or families.

comments The hotel staff were very welcoming, friendly and polite. The main areas of the hotel were of a high standard so we were a little dissapointed when we went to the corridors and room which could have done with a little tlc. The carpet in our room was well in need of replacing as was the one in the library bar downstairs. Also although we enjoyed our meal in the dungeon bar i would have liked to have been made aware of the fact that because we were on a deal we could not order off the main menu and only off a limited choice menu. Only small details though and had a good time reguardless.

comments Our stay at the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel was really great. The staff we met were all Irish, which made a it a true irish experience. They were very friendly and interested in making sure we were happy. The meal at the restaurant in the Dungeon was top class. Faultless. The rooms were very nice , very big, the only gripe we had was we seem to have got a twin room, so we spent our romantic weekend in separate beds! The area around Killiney is beautiful, the village of Dalkey in particular is very nice. We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel and life was made very easy with parking right outside the door! We spent three nights in the hotel and really enjoyed our trip. Thank You

comments This is the 2nd time I have stayed at Fitzpatrict Castle Hotel, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. Every detail was right, from my e-mails to reservations requesting dinner bookings, to a personal letter in the room welcoming us back, and a fantastic room. Coming to the hotel is like being welcomed by friends. Fantastic service, great food and a truly relaxing time. We will be back!

comments I stayed for 3 nights on a business trip and I was very happy with my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, cleaning of the room superb and the breakfast was lovely. The only improvement I would suggest is to increase the choices on the room service menu as if you stay a few nights it would be great with more dishes to choose between.

comments Leisure facilities and family rooms are reasonable. Breakfast is good but very pricey in my opinion. Staff friendly and helpful throughout our 3 night stay. Free wireless internet access would be a useful addition in common with many hotels in the UK/US and EU! Unfortunately for Ireland the high prices will serve to keep UK tourists and business people from visiting more often which is a great pity. €2.50 for a used swimming hat is a complete rip off by the way.

comments Generally the Hotel generates a very good atmosphere and the staff are very good. But the room ( 506 ) had some failings. First night we iscovered that the basin emptied very slowly and that there was water under it. I reported this to the frnt desk in the morning but no change by the evening; also the room had been only partly serviced. I spoke to the Duty Manager the following day, who told me the plumber had been into the room but he would investigate. But the evening it had been fixed and a box of chocaltes and fruit had been left - good! I also had a feeling that the esxtractor fan was not working and reported this on departure. Dining room for breakfast very good.

comments stayed 16/12 -19/12. this was planeed to celebrate my wife's birthday (16th) and our 33 rd wedding anniversary (17th). we had a wonderful room with fruit and chocolates and ALL the hotel staff were extremely helpful, no request was too much for them. had dinner in the Dungeon on Friday and the chef finished the meal by sending some 'mini pastries' lovely. this was our second visit to the Fitzpatrick and it wont be the last. thanks again for a great break.

comments My wife and I stayed at he hotel for three nights and found the hospitably of all the staff and atmosphere of the hotel itself charming. My wife, who is Danish, thought it odd that the front door of the hotel was always half open. It is unusual and I have never seen it before but I guess that it is done with the purpose of showing the home like qualities of this wonderful hotel. We will be back.

comments This was my first trip to Dublin. What an amazing hotel. I'll admit I am a platinum with Marriott and a diamond with Hilton so I have reasonably decent standards for a hotel. Unlike the conventional new hotels this hotel has a lot of class. The room was amazing (getting a room with ocean view is a must). Hotel food was great. I would advise taking the bus from the airport. The hills mentioned in a lot of posts are indeed there. Not so bad walking down and a decent workout going up. Great area, great hotel and great trip.

comments We had difficulty finding the front door, after that our experience was pure joy. We found the accommodation to be spacious and of the highest quality as was our dining experience. The attention and assistance of the staff made us feel more at home, than in a hotel. comments This was our second time staying here this year with our 3 children. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with generous supplies of toiletries and tea/cofffe/biscuits/water every day. Breakfast buffet offers a huge range of hot and cold choices. Evening meal menu in the Dungeon Restaurant is extensive for both children and adults. Staff are friendly and efficient and any request made was no problem. Will definitely stay again soon. We have travelled quite a lot and find that accommodating 3 children with ourselves generally poses a problem for most hotels. At the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel, this is not an issue.

comments We joined our daughter her husband & their two daughters for the three night Halloween break. We had a lovely relaxing time as the children went to the pool quite a lot and we were able to take it easy in the very comfortable lounge area or in the bar and the staff were very attentive at all times. Our rooms were first class with a very comfortable bed and lacked for nothing I could think of. The Dungeon Bar was good with resident pianist joined by some relaxed customers, very entertaining, Dalkey is only 20mins walk and is a lovely little town, make sure you visit the upstair cafe in the home bakery. this whole area is really nice and worth a visit and weather permiting you can have a pleasant walk in the park area around this hotel

comments We found our stay at this hotel to be very pleashant the staff were extremely friendly and helpful the room was very nice and the bed excellent with wonderful pillows very comfortable. The only negative point we would have is that the Dugeon restaurant / bar was very noisey and for that reason we decided to eat in the a la carte restaurant which was very good. We used the spa and swiming pool which was not busy but choice your timing to avoid children if thats not what you want. all in all it was a good place to stay and we would do it again.

comments The only complaint we have is that the trouser press/Ironing board in our room was in need of repair/replacement. THe press was poorly fixed to the wall. It probably became loose due to the use of the combined ironing board. My recommendation is to have a separate trouser press and Ironing board.

comments I would strongly recommend Fitzpatricks Hotel, apart from one slight mishap with the wine to our room the stay was amazing. The views from the rooms spacious balconies are worth more than what we had paid. Whether you are from Ireland or visiting from another country the Welcome to Fitzpatricks befits one only kept for royalty. The staff are fantastic in making sure your stay is everything that you want. The rooms need a little bit of refurbishing compared to other hotels and are slightly small however they do offer the facilities that one would want such as TV, extremely comfortable bed, Wi-Fi connection etc. Part of my package also included a massage the next day which was fantastic. The Dinning and recreational facilities are out of this world. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys the finer pleasures in life at an affordable price, who enjoy spectacular views and who wish to explore Dublin and surrounding counties whilst not being surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The surrounding areas of killiney also offer excellent shopping and dining options. Thank you Fitzpatricks Castle Hotel.

comments Its very nice to stay at a hotel where the staff are consistently helpful and friendly. Not to mention human. I didn't detect a single insincere "air hostess" smile. It was all so pleasant. Rooms great, breakfast great, lovely coffee. You could dive into the swimming pool without anyone waving an insurance certificate in front of your nose. I have friends living close in to the hotel so I hope to stay there again and often. Full marks to all.

comments love what you have done with the dungeon bar however the rooms are getting a bit tired looking (just a tiny bit). The dungeon special price menu was a great idea!! could do with a few more starter options. Overall we got a good rate for our stay but snacks and drinks we found very pricy coming from the north. My husband and i were happy just to lounge about the hotel for the most of our stay but ths is costly. have stayed before both as a family and as a couple and no doubt will be back!!! As always the staff throughout are faultless and experts in making you feel at home. Thanks for a lovely break!

comments It was like coming home. A most wonderful experience. We atayed in Ireland for to weeks and split the time north and South, here and there but the stay at Fitzpatrick was the highlight of the trip, after that no where else compared. Sean and Kevin bringing up breakfast served in my lovely room. The wonderful teas and the most comfortable bed!!! There was a lovely display of angels on the landscape and the staff ere so polite and very helpful. We leave for the states tomorrow and I take that wonderful memory with me. Margaret Dandar

comments Our stay at Killiney Castle was a most relaxing and enjoyable experience, including enjoyment of Dalkey Village with its pubs and restaurants, killiney hill for a healthy walk, the spa facility at the hotel, the spectacular views of Dublin Bay from the bedroom balcony and the luxury of full buffet breakfast at a leisurely pace. The 12.00 noon checkout time is a sign of the guest being first consideration at Fitzpatricks hotel. 18 hours felt like a long weekend. (would score 5 except for rust on balcony structure and some broken locks in spa changing lockers)

comments Everything about the Fitzpatrick Castle hotel is great with the only annoyance being that you need to go through the hotel lounge with all your luggage to get to the room. When the lounge is full of people on a Sunday having afternoon tea, the last thing they need (and you too) is to have guests going through with their luggage. Luckily we found the disabled entrance to the hotel which we then used but were not told about this. Otherwise, a lovely place.

I left my phone behind and housekeeping kept it safe and returned it promptly that afternoon when I returned. Breakfast offerred a good selection of hot and cold options buit the plates were cold which was the only criticism. The overall quality of the food was very good indeed. I did not use the leaisure facilities but they looked to be of good standard. I paid euro 91 B&B which was a promotional rate, but more realistic and reasonable value compared to the extremely high rack rate. I would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in the region either on business or holiday, but only at the reduced rates. A very pleasant hotel with plenty of charcter and a welcoming air. 9/10

comments I love the layout and quality of food at breakfast, far superior to anywhere else I have stayed (I have stayed at both the Merrion and Lyrath in the last few months). However I do not like that you can see into the swimming pool from area between bar/lifts/breakfast room, this would put me off getting into the pool if people can stand there and look in at me, would rather that the glass was frosted. Something I wish all hotels would do is include a small container of hair conditioner in their bathrooms, women need it and I have never seen it stocked, yet their is always shoe shiner and other trivial items which are not always necessities ...just a thought !

comments I had originally booked the breakfast on the Internet (not knowing what time I would have to depart), I had to leave the hotel at 0600hrs in the morning, therefore I could not take breakfast. The evening before I had spoke to the receptionist, I had enquired whether the fee for Breakfast could be taken off the bill, which was not a problem. When I got up in the morning to check out, the guy on reception at that time said I could not remove it from the bill, therefore, I got charged for a brekafast I did not nor could have had!!.

comments I had a great stay at the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I was there for a wedding (fantastic day) and chose to spend 3 nights at the hotel and had a lovely room which seemed to have been recently refurbished. The Dungeon Bar was the best place to eat and drink for a more informal setting and I ate in PJs one night which was great food but more formal. Friday night's pianist in the Dungeon Bar is fun especially if you end up with the good looking and funny local irish men for a sing song and drinks! The leisure centre has a beautiful pool and steam/sauna facilities but could do with some more comfortable beds by the pool for that relaxing afternoon with a book. I had a ball and would definitely stay again myself and would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to visit.

comments Hotel and staff were great! Awesome shower with fantastic water pressure. Tubs are deep with no safety bar, so more mature visitors need to be careful. Room clean and well maintained. Bar food and PJs food very good. Okay price. Dungeon food and pricing NOT worth the time or money. Slow service and they don't check to see if you need anything else or refills if you are not drinking liquor or wine. Avoid the Dungeon and it is a fantastic place to stay.

comments We had stayed in Fitzpatrick's five year's ago and were delighted to see how well the hotel is kept up. we took the Patton Flyer bus from Dublin airport for 8 euro each and got to Dalkey in less than an hour and easily got a taxi to the hotel. we loved staying at Fitzpatrick's and can't wait to return again. My daughter , who is 13, and I had the best mother and daughter break at this stately, yet welcoming hotel. the rooms were very clean and beds so comfortable and great sheets and comforter.. The tiled bath was great, terrific shower and bathtub, plenty of towels etc. Room was very clean with a terrace and view of Dublin Bay. The Staff were very friendly and helpful in calling taxi for about 7 euro you can get to Dart which we did and were in cental Dublin in 30 minutes. We loved walking around Killiney Hill park and the fantastic views. PJ's restaurant was very good, we had a great dinner there, I had salmon and my daughter had the fettucine, great chefs, soup at another time was great. We availed of the "tea" in the Library lounge and really enjoyed it. The breakfast was presented nicely and tasty with many choices available The pool and fitness center made our stay perfect , what more could you desire. I highly this hotel recommend and will return. comments Having stayed at Fitzpatricks Castle several times I must say it's always been excellent. Service has always been great and the staff are very pleasent. Rooms are very nicely decorated. I would advise spending the extra cash for an executive room or suite with sea views it's worth every penny. The food at P.J's Restaurant is really wonderful but if you want something less formal then the bar menu is very good indeed. there is also a casulal style restaurent in the Dungeon.

comments Our stay was great and would stay at the Fitzpatrick again. The resteurant supervisor a guy called Vaughn in the dining area really made our staygreat he was a breath of fresh air some minor negatives, Check in desk only manned by one person. comments Lovely place, very relaxing. Great family rooms - we had 2 adults, a 6 year old, a 3 year old, and two 8 month olds, each in their own cot provided by the hotel, and there was still plenty of space in the room. This is our second visit, and we'll definitely go there again when we're passing through Dublin

comments as always we received a warm welcome from James on our arrival. Our room was very spacious, extremely clean. Dinner in PJ restaurant was excellent, staff were all well groomed and polite. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to many return visits.

comments I found my stay at Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel to exceed my expectations. My room was immaculate and in two words I would say it was "pure comfort". I had a lovely balcony and sea view and could leave my door open or just sit out to enjoy the spectacular view. I found the staff extremely helpful and courteous, check in/out was also very smooth as well. The bar and lounge areas extremely comfortable and lots of space and well furnished. I would highly recommend this hotel and will certainly be staying again would not wish to stay anywhere else when in Dalkey/Killiney vicinity. Caroline Flynn, Cavan

comments the hotel reservation and accommodation is perfectly great but I observe that there is no available shuttle service from the hotel to the city center and vise-versa which limits our mobility and affects as well our maximum pleasure of seeing and moving around dublin.

comments I just want to say that this was one of the best hotel experiences I'd had. The hotel is much improved since my last stay and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was gorgeous and if I could have brought the bed home I would now be in heaven. Food was very good and we both are determined to visit this hotel again.

comments Nice place. It was quite warm in Ireland when we stayed and the staff offered fans to help assuage the stuffiness of the rooms. There are no thermostats in most of the rooms, and this offer was most appreciated. The restaurant was very nice as well.
