Hello Sarah, Thank you for your review. It is good to hear that you found our staff pleasant and that you enjoyed our leisure facilities. I am so sorry about the smell of smoke in your rooom. The room you were allocated was in fact a non-smoking room with non-smoking signs on both the bedroom door and inside the room. Unfortunately one of our previous guests decided to ignore these signs - it does take sometime to completely clear the room of the smell of smoke. During the winter months we operate a refurbishment programme and the room you stayed in is due for a make over!! I do agree about the adapters - we do have a supply here but sometimes guests forget to retunr them on departure so it is better to make sure and bring your own!! Hello Giovanna, I am really glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. Even though I enjoy the views from the hotel each day I come into work, I still appreciate our unique location and it is lovely to hear that our guests also enjoy the setting. It is particularly lovely today - blue skys over the golf courses and sea and the leaves turning a lovely golden colour!! The hotel is about a 15 to 20 minute walk into Howth village and therefore at the beginning of the season this year we purchased a courtesy bus to take our guests free of charge to and from the hotel into Howth Village to the restaurants/bars and DART (train) station. Hello Tom, Thank you for your kind comments about our staff and bedrooms. We are in the process of refurbishing all our bedrooms - to date 15 rooms have been completed and we will be starting on some more now that we are into the quieter time of the year. We are about 8.5 miles from Dublin City Centre but there is easy access with public transport - I do hope you availed of our free courtesy coach which brings guests to and from Howth DART (train) station where there is a regular service to Dublin City Centre. We have a continuous refurbishment programme in place but not much can be done in the summer time as we have a lot of guests.
