comments The reception staff were not too friendly, not even a 'Hello' on arrival. The carpets on the stairs were badly stained and could do with a good clean. The rooms, however, were clean - thankfully. For a budget accommodation the breakfast was good, fresh towels daily, bottles of still and sparkling water replenished daily but they could've done with having towel rails in the room as there wasn't anywhere to hang towels after showering. We had an en-suite room which had a sink in the main room with a very small shower and WC room. It is ideally located so that we could walk to Temple Bar in 15 minutes and shops 5 minutes away.

comments I highly recommend Charles Stewart as a place to stay, 1. for convenience as it is ideally located in the city centre, 2. Staff are always friendly and very helpful 3. Rooms are always clean, although the ensuite was a little small 4. Breakfast is always superb. So I hold your accommodation in the highest regard and will always stay there any time I am in Dublin and need a place to say and won't even look further for somewhere else...

comments we were in room on basement floor at front of hotel. bit noisy but after a few guinnesses didn't disturb our sleep! Breakfast was very nice, plenty on offer. Staff very polite and helpful. Arrived at 1.30pm but couldn't check in until 2.30 - no problem as we could leave our bags and return after 2.30.

comments i have stayed at the charles stewart before and would stay there again. howeber on this last trip he hotel had overbooked. in fairness they contacted me a few days before arriving and asked if we would stay in their sister hotel. i accepted this offer. there was nothing wrong with the hotel (ripley court) and have just booked to go back there. i have stayed in numerous hotels in dublin and would return to both. both are excellant value for money

comments This hotel gives you exactly what you pay for, budget accommodation with breakfast, it was very clean and reminded our party of four of Faulty Towers but in a GOOD way. We had to travel along very small corridors and down ramps then stairs and then into the basement for breakfast it was fab. The only slight fault we found was breakfast as we were promised a full Irish breakfast and received egg, bacon, sausage & beans, where was our tattie bread??. The hotels location could not have been more central, we would definately stay at the Charles Stewart again.

comments Because this is a budget hotel, there are no phones or clocks in the rooms, which was a bit annoying. However, it was very clean while I was there; the staff was very cheerful and helpful; and it's very centrally located for a very small price. All and all not too bad.

comments the bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen with a toilet sink and shower in a room that was 7 foot by 2 foot. Could brush you teeth while sitting on the toilet ! Was also overpriced for the accomadation type. Would give it a miss to be honest. Location is good though.

comments Though I made reservation well in advance (3 months) 1st we received an awful room, no heating and no hot water at 11 pm. Next day after complaining we got another, probably the best, room. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is old and simple but clean. Nice gesture to have ability to make your own tea in the room in the morning. Very fair price. I would return.

comments Location was great. 10 mins walk from Temple Bar, Grafton Street etc.... 20-30 mins walk from Guinness Storehouse. Not too close to the noise!!Only downside to the accomodation was the water supply failing (shower & sink). I assume this was due to demand throughout the accom. Lovely friendly staff, nice breakfast, good standard of accom. Will revisit.

comments very nice stay, apart from being down on the lower floor so no view apart from a wall. Stay was made even better by Andy, who worked on the front desk and told us loads of excellent places to visit in Dublin (Thanks Andy), if staying again at C.S. I would ask for rooms 197 upwards as they have baths as well as showers in them.

Any future travellers to the Temple bar area of town should visit Galaghers, as the food is outstanding to say the least. comments The room was basic (what we wanted) but clean and tidy and a reasonable size. The location was convenient, and the staff were extremely friendly, booking us a meal and giving advice on where to travel in Dublin in the limited time that we had. The Breakfast was good, though beans and mushrooms wouldn't have gone amiss. I certainly have no complaints and would recommend it to anyone wanting a cheap hotel in Dublin.
