comments I would definitely recommend the Central Hotel in Dublin..great location..pleasant informative staff..very clean rooms with an immaculate bathroom. The only downside was that we were woken very very early in the morning by the sound of dust trucks outside collecting bottles..it was horrendous..! However with earplugs yep I would stay there again..! I cant vouch for a weekend stay though with regards to noise levels as we stayed on a Monday night.

comments Knew from guidebooks that hotel was in an old building and that rooms were small, so expected that. Location was great, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast adequate and price was good compared to other Dublin hotels. Some noise from streets late weekend nights, but less than Temple Bar area. Would gladly return.

comments The nightclub was extremely noisy until about 4am - made it a little tough to sleep - the showers could use a little more power, but the water was nice and hot. Other than those minor things, we loved this hotel. The location was amazing and the staff was top notch and very friendly.

comments We enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel's central position made it good for sight-seeing. Having booked a triple room and confirmed there were 3 beds we were disappointed to be allocated a room with a double and single. However this was rapidly changed with no problem and the recently excellently refurbished room we were moved to was ideal.

comments I liked this hotel. I specifically asked for a quiet room and got one on the fourth floor. I did hear a little noise at some stage in the night and after my stay was reminded Ri Ra's is around the corner, but the noise didn't feel too near so no problemo. I'd recommend. Grand breakfast too.

comments Great location for airport bus stop, temple bar area and restaurants. Saturday night was a little noisy until 3am, but double glazing kept it down adequately. Breakfast was good, but plates needed to be heated too. Staff are very accomodating and friendly. Rooms are much better and look very modern, after the refurbishment (Jan 2008).

comments Whilst the room we had was very large, it was a bit tired in terms of decoration. The main problem with the hotel was the noise we experienced at night. When we complained, we were advised it was due to a night club over the road and the hotel advised they had no control over this. We had a 6 month old baby with us, so a very noisy room was not ideal. Whilst we appreciate there will be some noise in a city centre hotel, as I had to get up early to run a marathon the next day, a sleepless night due to a noisy club would not have been my choice of room. However, the location in terms of being central, was ideal but it is not realy a family hotel.

comments Twin room prepared rather than double which was booked - but quick response, albeit by joining two beds together - not the most comfortable option! Chaos at breakfast on Sunday due to full dining room - ran out of everything for a short time! Much better and quieter on Monday. However, food was very good and hotel very clean. Main bar shut on Sunday.

comments The location is the only good thing about this hotel. The rooms are very dark and run down. The breakfast was average and the staff were poor and not interested. If you don't mind being woken between 4-6 in the morning with smashing bottels, street cleaners and work men then this is place for you.

comments Happily, we were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was basically a large and comfortable modernized room and very nice bathroom. We appreciated that gesture, and overall, staff tried hard to meet our needs, including putting fans in our room (no air conditioning available, and street noise made it hard to leave windows open.) Breakfast was generous, and Library bar was nice. Only negative note relates to one particular daytime front desk rep (who said she doesn't work front desk much) who definitely needs training in dealing with customer complaints. She actually argued with us! Her attitude really turned off my husband to the Central. Except for her, all other staff were wonderful. Location is unbeatable -- so many good restaurants and key sites right there.

comments The hotel is what it says, very central, which was really good as all the things we wanted to see and do were never very far away. It is a little 'tired' but then it is an old building It is very friendly and the staff are helpul. The hotel website states that the nearest bus stop from the airport is Suffolk Street , however this is correct only for the journey back to the airport. If you are arriving then the stop is Trinity College.
