comments this hotel is located in a quiet area outside Dublin City, lovely grounds to walk around, and excellent green fees for guests staying in hotel. The beds were very comfortable to sleep in and the breakfast was very tasty with a large selection to choose from.We found the receptionist very friendly at checkout, and very helpful and knowledgeable about information.Would definitely return and recommend a stay here.

comments Very good value hotel. Close to entrance to Phoenix Park which is lovely to drive thru on way to Dublin Centre.. Room was excellent, good bed, nice well equipped bathroom. The restaurant food was nostly good (one quibble over our starters the only area for improvement) I would recommend and return.

comments Stayed at hotel with husband and 2 children aged 10 and 11 years. When booking I was informed that there were no rooms with 2 double beds so ended up having to book an inter connecting room for kids at extra 60 euro per night. When staying in this area we previously stayed at Clarion Liffey Valley where family rooms comprise of 1 double bed and 2 single beds at no extra cost! Good Points:- The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Most staff were Irish. Food quite expensive but good quality Rooms clean Excellent pool in leisure facilities Free car parking Negative Points:- No DVD player available for inter connecting room. Useful when travelling with children. No family rooms which can accommodate 2 adults & 2 children over 8 years. No airconditioning in bedrooms. Found both bedrooms extremely hot even with windows open and a fan. Poor water pressure in ensuite shower. On both nights at the hotel there was loud music playing until 12.30 am directly below our bedrooms. Asked for well done steak in restaurant which was served chargrilled and burnt. Tasted awful. Complained but wasnt offered any discount etc. Inside of steps leading into swimming pool bedside jacuzzu were very dirty and covered in black grime.

comments As international travellers we found it difficult to find, sat navs are used by most people these days, you should show the sat nav details on your web site,(ie: like Premier Inns do), your street address is wrong, sat navs show your street as a different street to that on your site.

comments waitress were rude, stressed and aggressive. Food was overpriced and of poor quality.Had to wait long times to be served and asking for a high chair seemed like an outrageous request The voucher system for breakfast and evening meals was badly represented. This hotel is certainly not child friedly. The hotel needs to update their hospital information as they sent us to wrong hospital when our child fell in their room. When mentioned to the hotel restaurant manager said that the hospital had just recently changed their policy in relation to the treatment of children , I was told at the hospital they did not treat children in 10years( under14) !!!!!she also mention that the hotel manager was asking how the child was ?! This is inappropiate communication.

comments This is a very comfortable and luxurious hotel for a very reasonable rate. You will feel pampered throughout your stay. The restaurant service is slow but can be overlooked (if you don't have kids with you) because of the quality of the food and the politeness and friendliness of the staff.

comments we stayed there for two nights with an 11 month old baby, the hotel provided a travel cot and bedding, everyone was very friendly it was a relaxed atmosphere and there were plenty of children at the hotel but it was big enough so they were not in each others way. there was no fridge in our room to keep bottles but they did keep providing clean fresh water to make them up. over all the food was great and swimming pool lovely,we would stay again.

Leisure centre was lovely only compliant i have while we staed there was the ladies dressing rooms were out of order and in order to get showered and changed you had to go back to your room, this was unsatisfactory.BUT i will definately go back

comments Was wonderful, lovely hotel. One hiccup, was initiatlly placed in room 222 on the second floor, which happened to be directly above some sort of deep cooler in the ground floor bar, very noisy all night. Immediately moved to a new room the next morning without fuss. But receptionist seemed well aware of problem without me explaining it

comments The Castleknock Hotel and Country Club was a joy to stay in! It's about 20mins or so by car from Dublin and literally 5mins drive from Blancherstown Shopping Centre. Lovely location, close to what seems to be a busy little village. The staff were lovely and the food great. My only problem was that the pillows were uncomfortable but my other half was happy enough so that's probably just a personal thing. Would definately stay again!

comments Excellent hotel of very high standard. Would recomend it for both business and pleasure. Ideal location for for golf lovers with the Castlknock Golf course only a "stones throw" from the hotel. It is a beautifully kept course suitable for all level of golfers. The food in the hotel was of good standard and keenly priced. Would go back there and stay again.

comments booked a meal in the restaurant which was described as looking over the golf course - some windows do but in the main there is no view of the course Also thought we'd have a nice sophisticated drink in the bar before the meal but they had the TV on with football blaring and people were being served burgers and chips - NOT VERY SOPHISTICATED - given that the hotel reception area was huge they ought to keep this bar area small, quiet and upmarket

comments Rooms are excellent and very modern. Food is very good, good room service choice and breakfasts excellent. Staff are excellent and very helpful. Hard to fault at any level. Have stayed there on a number of weekends and occasionally can be a little noisy on corridors on weeekend nights as the hotel is very popular for weddings but it depends on what room you are in. So ask for a quiet room!
