We had a lovely stay at the hotel and in particular, Ana at reception was extremely helpful, friendly and an absolute pleasure to deal with. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were lovely. Our food in Harry's Bar and Bistro was very nice. The only complaint we would have was we requested a quiet part of the hotel as we had come away without our 3 young children, and although we were on the 5th floor, the noise from the bar below was terrible until 3am (it's called The Living Room). However it's not connected to the hotel so Best Western can't be blamed for that, maybe just know where the quiet rooms are. In any case, our second night we stayed out until we knew the bar would be closed and we very happy to get a night's sleep that night and breakfast in bed the following morning.

Great hotel - central and yet quiet. Breakfast good. Ate in Asian restaurant - very good. Free very fast internet access in lobby (10 mins) - very handy. Short hop from all the major attractions, shops etc. Visit the art gallery and national museum - free and worth the trip.

I have nothing but praise and thanks for all the hard working and cheerful staff. Especially the Receptionist Ana who allocated me a lovely spaceous airy room as I have Claustrophobia.

very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Extremely convenient location. The massage availability first class and relatively inexpensive. Abacus is a great Asian restaurant for dinner.

We selected Academy Plaza because of previous experience with Best Western and it did not disappoint. Airy and clean superbly appointed rooms and excellent restaurant. Efficient and friendly staff. And of course the city tour bus starts outside! We have plans to return.

The hotel was very well laid out, The receptionist was very efficient. There were three lifts which were very well maintained, the room were very clean and alot of information given on the hotel including the three restaurants in the building, service was very quick when an item was requested. The beds were also very comfortable. The television also had a lot of functions such as internet, music channels and movies which are al charged at a fee, upon entering the room the television displayed a personal welcome with my name on the screen which i thought was a nice touch. i would definately recommend this hotel as it is also very central located just off O'Connell street, only a few minutes from the spire.
