The bedrooms in the hotel are a bit run down and you have to pay a ?10 deposit to get a remote for the tv. But excluding that everything was good. I must complement them on how child friendly the hotel was. All the staff were great. From getting high chairs to filling bottles of milk and empting bins with dirty nappies.

We stayed for 3 nights in Oct 07 - We were put in a 'superior room' which was very basic so I would'nt like to see a standard room ! Bathroom was spacious but the shower curtain was filthy and it does'nt cost much to replace these !! It would be a very basic 3* in my opinion and thats only because of its location which is very central.
The restaurant was VERY disorganised, had to go make our own tea and toast and get our own cups and saucers etc every morning as the service was very bad. We ate one night in the restaurant and we did'nt eat again in it . Food very basic (like pub grub) and service very bad and disorganised.Needless to say, we will not be staying there again and the price was average so its not as if we got a deal.

This was a most unplesent experiance. I have been in touch with Londis regarding it and i await her return. I would strogly recommend the removal of this hotel from any offer.

The room was lovely however, we had dinner at the restaurant and were not offered a drink and the service was slow and boring, the waitress never spoke to us at all and this was similar off our breakfasts on both days. Being peak season especially it may be an idea to employ someone in charge of customer service to roam the hotel.

The room had not been vaccumed beforre we arrived. There were children in the bar after 10pm. The second day, for breakfast there was not milk out and no real coffee you had to use instant.

We booked a 2 night package including one evening meal. We arrived at the hotel at 10p.m and was completely disallusioned and shocked at what we had booked. Unfortunately due to the time of night and having our 6 year old daughter with us we were not in a position to make a decision so stayed the night. It was a disaster. Both my husband and i did not sleep at all with the noise and the extreme heat of the room. We both had bug bites all over us the next morning and itched constantly. The bed was lumpy and completely unacceptable to any standard. We could not even shower in the morning because the temp regulator didn't work. The room smelt of smoke and there were cigarette ends stuck in the window. It wasn't cleaned either from the previous guests and my daughter found food in the drawers. We complained at 7a.m in the morning and after speaking to several people we had no choice but to leave without any refund and still had to pay for the 2nd night and evening meal. We are in the process of trying to claim back our loss... disgraceful !!!

It was dirty and the staff were not nice or helpful in any way. no parking only in public carpark. Breakfast was a joke no milk on tables and teaspoons non existant

The food was an absolute disgrace in the hotel and was totally inedible we did complain to management and received a refund on our meals. Ther was not enough staff in the hotel the steff that were there were very nice but under pressure. We had asked for clean towels and never received them the kids club was advertised as 3 hours but only ran for 2 for the same price. There was only one member of staff supervising the kids and they were using the toilet by them selves and my 5 year old daughter was allowed to leave the club room and come up to me in the bar luckily I was in there at that time Obviously I took my 2 children out straight away. I would not go back to the central hotel and would not recommend it to friends as the lack of properly trained staff was very dangerous in regards to childrens safety and food posioning from the kitchen

Not over happy with stay stayed two nights. For the money rooms not great. Day we were leaving we got a knock on the door an hour before departure to say we had only an hour left in the room! No need for that on a Sunday morning.

i cannot fault the hotel for its comfort and high standard of cleanliness; however we were dissapointed to say the least with the choice of menu. we only had a choice of three main meals, and had NO say in what it was served with. i mean i ended up with Plaice, BROCCOLI, CARROTS and MASH! yuk! was hoping for plaice, chips/new pots, side salad, much more appertising. sorry, did not enjoy at all. also, when we booked, we done special request for fresh flowers in the room. It did say that these would be met if at all possible. i dont see how it was not possible to have met this request, but it was not met! pretty poor i think! its the small things like that which make it special. in my opinion, i would have regarded the grand central alot higher had this very simple request been met! sorry. do i revisit, or go somewhere else which CAN provide flowers?

The Hotel room was fine but the service thereafter was not! They took payment on check-in, had about four TV stations and the manager had no personality of people skills. On our second night we went for a meal and were told that the restaurant was closed. We were seated in the bar where we offered a menu that looked suspiciously similar to the carvery menue on display earlier. It was the carvery menu! The meal arrived out which consisted of turkey heated under the grill which they didn't even bother to slice! There was another couple present who's meal was even worse and when they complained the manager was nowhere to be seen. He let the floor staff take all the flak and finally made a token gesture of a bottle of wine. Not much use when you are hungry!!!!

The hotel is good value for money. My only concern is the loud music from hotel bar. The walls do not appear to be insulated very well and the music seemed like it was coming from next door even though we were on the 5th floor.

The only thing was the lady at reception, her english was not very good and it took a long time to book in and out of the Hotel. Apart from this we enjoyed our stay.
