History of the hotel:
The building of the hotel dates back to 1597. The hotel is situated in a place of original middle-age pub; visited by the Czech king Charles IV as well during works on the stone bridge in the 14th century. The building was built by Jan Fux, a supplier of ostrich' s feathers. To avertise his business he used decoration of three ostriches. Later in 1714 an Armenian businessman, Deodat Ramajan, opened the first coffee shop in Bohemia there. The builiding was under restoration works during years 1972-1976 and the house was rearranget to be a hotel.
