comments Excellent Hotel, service fantastic, food superb and always greeting with a smile from all members of staff. We arrived early and the room was ready so that was a real bonus and upon check out I asked for a late check out and again this did not cause a problem and the girl said "no problem" as the room was not booked for that night. I have to say it is one of the most pleasant stays I have had in any hotel for a long time. I would highly recommend this Hotel. I will definietly be back

comments I would say there was 2 downs to our stay in the hotel. One was the fact that you had to leave the hotel and walk up a considerable hill to get to the swimming pool. We had kids with us and it just wasn't suitable. And the second was the meal on saturday night. Again we had young kids and the food was served at a very slow pace so the kids got quite fed up waiting. Also the food was just adequate. Nothing to write home about. The hotel itself was very good. Rooms clean and comfortable and the hotel was situated very well for visiting cork city.

comments Hotel was lovely and very accomodating for our family. Rooms were very comfortable. Only slight downside is that the lifts are very small and can be awkward for a buggy and the swimming pool is located quite a ways from the hotel and its almost a public pool, changing rooms etc were extremely busy, might be helpful to know what times the pool is in use for swimming lessons etc.

comments I found the Silversprings Hotel to be very comfortable and clean. The room had two double beds and the bathroom was really spacious with a bidet. The breakfast was very good with an enticing array of food to choose from. The evening meal was really good, especially the dessert. On the negative side it is more than a walk away from Cork city centre, you would need to get a Taxi or drive there.

comments We had absolutely no problem with the hotel but we were in room 601 and found the room extremely noisy. Between the main road below and also I'm not sure whether it was a boiler or air conditioning but the buzzing noise that went on all night was awful. I was awake 2 nights with a headache listening to it!!!!! Also on two mornings of our stay there was men working on the roof and also down the side of the building. They started banging from 8.30am. We were there to get a break and this banging was really unacceptable. We did complain to a lady at reception but it was not taken serously at all which we were not pleased about. I would not go back to the Silver springs because of this. we left a note for the manager on our departure but have heard nothing.

comments We chose Silver Springs over a number of other hotels available because it had a swiming pool available. However the leisure centre "within the grounds" takes 5-10 minutes to walk to and the walk is up a steep hill!! The walk we could cope with (however I'm sure an elderly person would find it difficult) however my main issue was that both the hotel & leisure club failed to draw our attention to the fact that kids swiming classes are in progress most evenings/weekends, extremely limiting the pool space available to hotel guests & definitely taking away from the relaxing experience expected by hotel guests!!!

comments Myself and my husband recently stayed at the silver springs hotel, it was our first wedding anniversary and on arriving the guy that checked us in congratulated us which i thought was nice. The room was very clean and confortable, if a little small. We ordered breakfast in bed both mornings and it arrived exactly on time and nice and hot. We had an evening meal on one of the evenings and we couldn't fault the watermarq restaurant. The staff were all very friendly and we had a very pleasent stay.

comments We had a great few days stay with you. The restaurant was really good with very friendly staff and a good menu. The bar food was very impressive and the floor staff here were really good. The only thing and it is a little thing is if the Laundry staff could start a little later in the morning as we were in room 424 and with the windows open you could hear all the dryers starting up and being so quiet all night it realy you were realy drawn to the sound. The room was a perfect size for two adults and two kids. Thank you very much for a great stay and hope to stay with you again some time soon. Regards Andrew & Susan Delaney

My children aged 15 and 12 had absoutely nothing to do in the evenings and were very bored.Had we been on our own it would have been suitable to our needs but not as a family

comments Alltogether we had a very pleasant experience, and would use this location again in the future. However to claim to have a leisure complex is a little misleading given the location of this complex,I think that it would do no harm to fully explain in detail the access and that it might be advisible to get there by car.

comments We had a party of six and booked three rooms. We all had a most enjoyable stay in the hotel. The staff at reception were most helpful and all the staff were very pleasant. The restaurant plus the addition of the piano bar put a good end to the evening. The hotel is on the outskirts of the city but is close to all amenities. The younger members of our group thoroughly enjoyed the use of the leisure centre.

comments The hotel will be ok when all renovations are complete, the lift din't stop at the second floor (our floor) so it was up to the third and a good walk back to the second to get to the room. The reception area, bar and retaurant were pretty good and food was fine but my main problem is the hotel location, it's a good 35-40min walk to the city centre and a taxi will cost you approx ?10

comments I would have given a 5 rating were it not for the fact that renovation work was ongoing on floor 3 which meant that access to our room had to be via a circuitous route involving the fire escape ~ I felt that this could have been in breach of health & safety regulations. Staff were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful both at reception and in the restaurant.

comments We found the hotel excellent and it was extremely good value for the deal we had. The food in the restaurant was of superb quality, particularly the dinner - although it was a bit strange that breakfast on 1 day was a buffet but was service on the 2nd day. A few minor language issues when dealing with non-Irish staff and the fact that the bed seemed to be a fold-out from the wall were the only 2 less than perfect matters. We would definitely go back, especially as we didn't have a chance to visit the leisure centre. Location in terms of the proximity to Cork city is great and when we needed a taxi into the centre, Reception had it organised for us within 5/10 minutes.

comments Overall this hotel us ok - definately not a 4 star, but very comfortable. There is a lovely lounge with music at night. The one thing that I was unahppy with was the food. On Saturday morning, I went down at 10am but had to wait about 10 mins for someone to come & take my coffee order. Breakfast was cold as it's self service so food was probably lying out for hours. I think for a 4 star hotel Breakfast should be served fresh direct to your table. Even the toast when it arrived was cold. On sunday before we left I ordered lunch - beef straganof - definately not what I though it should be -more like a stew with rice. Very poor. Overall the facilities are good & it;s very convenient for City centre, but don't expect 4 star cusine.

comments The hotel is really nice, as is the food. However the breakfast service on sunday morning required more waiting staff, as we had to ask for tea & toast about 15 mins after we sat down, & they only arrived once we had finished eating. I was really impressed however with the hygene standards of the leisure centre. Each staff member actively taking temperatures of water, and also taking samples for microbiological testing.

comments The hotel lobby/ reception and bar and restaurant are all very impressive and newly refurbished however the rooms need alot of work. I would consider this hotel as a 3 star not 4 star. Our room was nice but toiletries where of poor standard and there wa a smell of damp from the drawers and clear damp patches along side of drawers, on carpet abd also damp surounding the window. One of our windows was also broken and wouldn't open. The breakfast was tasteless and the morning we had it delivered to the room it was also cold. The staff where friendly overall and eager to assist in any way they could.

comments I will say however my husband, children and I enjoyed immensely our stay in Silver Springs Hotel. We found the staff extremely friendly and helpful and always endeavoured to make our stay as joyful and comfortable as possible. The facilities provided were excellent including the leisure centre. The rooms were very comfortable with ample space to house four people. The rooms were cleaned daily and any requests made to hotel staff were fulfilled almost immediately. There was a warm friendly atmosphere that made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable we will be hoping to return to the Silver Springs Hotel in the near future.

comments The staff were lovely especcially the restaurant staff, although I was concerned that perhaps they work very long hours, as they seemed to be there for the breakfast and dinner and then again in the morning. But they were very polite and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very nice and I will be recommending it to others
