everything was excellant from the staff to the food. in fact the stay would have been perfect except for the fact that the bar was freezing. the problem was caused i think because people were going out the door marked :smoking area: and leaving the doors open - a problem easily rectified i believe by fitting a hydraulic spring to the door so it would close automatically. when i did mention how cold the bar was, the staff did all they could to keep the door closed but obviously they couldn't keep on closing it because they were serving. otherwise as i said already excellent	report this review as inappropriate

we exjoyed our stay very much. The bedroom cleaning staff were great. From the good food to the music in the bar we enjoyed ourselves. The new beds were a bit hard and a smile at the reception desk would not do any harm and maybe being asked how were liked our stay. regards Bernard Lambert.	report this review as inappropriate

Fantastis hotel & service. When we arrived out room wasnt ready, so we were offered tea/coffee & biscuits, which we accepted, it was there within 4 minutes, Very impressed from the onset.	report this review as inappropriate

i was hoping to have a pleasant night away to celebrate 11 years with my now hubby, my stay at clonakilty did that and so much more. we arrived around 3pm we were told what the hotel had to offer, and that our suite was ready, it was fab my only problem with it was that we were only staying 1 night. we got to fit in a swim before dinner in the lovely lannigans, where staff turned our coffees irish at my request for a surprise for himself. we strolled around the town before retiring. an early full irish was cancelled out by a long walk on nearby inchadoney strand and another stroll around clonakilty town, then it was back to the hotel for my spa treat and mu husband spent the time on one of many sofas in the hotels reception reading the newspapers.we then had a lunch to suit both our appetites,me a toasted special and him a roast of the day.the restaurant staff greeted us like old friends and all the stafff were excellent at their job. i enjoyed my stay so much i bought a gift voucher for my parents as a christmas present and have been telling all to go there for a break away, its already been decided to go back there for next years anniversary and definitely before!	report this review as inappropriate

We stayed for a mid week break (myself, my husband and our two year old) The hotel was really geared for kids and even though our daughter wasn't charged for the staff provided baby bowls, icecream and juice on a regular basis for no extra charge. In addition she as given colouring books etc. on arrival. we had requested a cot but didn't get it until we asked for it on arrival. The hotel itself was a high standard for the grade and we couldn't have asked for nicer staff - we'll definitely be going back! (This review has been edited)	report this review as inappropriate

While we had a lovely time, on arrival we were put in a non-smoking room that reeked of smoke, the bed was way to soft for comfort, and children were allowed run around the bar area after 10pm. We know kids have to have fun, but there were a lot of older poeple there who were clearly disapointed that they could not enjoy themselves while the kids were running around. There are many hotels on the continent that cater both old & young, but normally at certain times make sure they are segregated.	report this review as inappropriate

The accomodation was of a very high standard and was extremely clean and well presented. The only down-side was the pool changing rooms, which smelled dreadful due to the carpet flooring!	report this review as inappropriate

Lovely Place.Nice, helpful Staff.Restaurant food was excellent but room lacked ambience.Similar situation with Bar.Room was clean, comfortable and well attended to. The staff were lovely, particularly in the restaurant and the food was good. But when we arrived our room had 4 beds and no cot for 2 adults and 1 baby. That is not so big on the little things! Also the room service was not great order wrong and scabby desert slices. The pool was great and prefect for kids as well as adults doing lenghts.	report this review as inappropriate

I wish to provide my comments as follows: Reception: Courteous but not very informative Bedroom: Neat, Clean. Beds made everyday, fresh towels each day and bathroom cleaned spotless. Bar: Lovely atmosphere, quiet but staff slow at serving Restaurant: Food was exceptional, prompt service, friendly staff and lovely setting. Pool Area: the pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and Sauna were very satisfactory however the changing rooms were not great. A distinct smell of urine in one particular cubicle. Gym: the equipment was excellent however very confined with space and quite claustrophobic. Beauty: the Beauty treatment room was extremely small. The vent was noisy in there and I could hear all the gym equipment outside so not very relaxing. The treatment itself was sufficient. Overall I must say I enjoyed my stay and would have no hesitation in staying there again.	report this review as inappropriate
