comments it was lovely....we loved everything. the room was nice and clean and the staff very polite. the food was very good, is near city centre and to Cork city Gaol. I recommend this guest house to every one.

comments Out stay at the Blarney Stone Guest House was very good! It was 10 minutes walk from the city centre and the owner was extremely helpful when we were making enquiries about getting to the airport etc. The room was immaculate and had every facility needed. Super breakfast with lots of choice. Would recommend it.

comments beautifully decorated and very ornate throughout, the room was a good size but packed with furniture. Very bright, lots of natural light, with a large bed. Too soft for us but some people like it that way. The bathroom was fine, standard. Our only gripe was coming back around midnight from the city to find the heating on at full blast, in the middle of the summer. But we were able to turn it off and it cooled down again after a while. The landlady was very pleasant and generous. We broke a jug by accident and offered to pay for it but she wouldn't accept any compensation, which was very generous of her. Breakfast was good for the most part, with a wide variety of food on offer, in a lovely dining room. It's also close to the city, about ten minutes walk from the centre. For the price we paid (81e for 1 night for a double, which we booked directly through their website, which was cheaper than any 3rd party offer), we were very happy and would definitely return as well as recommend it to others.

comments What a great place !!! The room was spotless and well decorated. We were greeted with a great Irish smile and hospitality. Very quiet at night for sleeping and a super breakfast awaited us in the a.m. Excellent location, premises and great value.

comments The furnishings were beautiful and rooms very comfortable. Angela was gracious. The breakfast wa delicious with good presentation. It would be good to let guests know the timeframe for the hot breakfast as it was at a leisurely pace. Overall, I was impressed and pleased with my stay.

comments Everything including how near it was to the city was superb. The only thing that let it down for us was shower was never above tepid, the toilet seat fixture was broken and we were unsure in the mornings if we could sit down to breakfast as one morning it was very full and we had to wait half an hour, which could have delayed our plans for the day if we were on a shedule. Would happily recommend the place to anyone wanting to stay in Cork. Very best regards Jane and Nick

comments Our stay at the Blarney Stone Guest House for two nights was more than I expected. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. comfortable and you felt like you were in a high class hotel. The breakfast menu in the morning which was included in the price was wonderful and prepared and presented like im a restaurant. I was extremely happy with our stay and with their hospitality. It was convienent to walk to Cork University and to the city center area. I would recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Cork City.

comments To the manager / Owner. Your daughter was very welcoming and you have a lovely Grand Daughter, she is gorgeous. The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed the"full Irish" Breakfasts I was visiting for a "Shape note" singing convention at the University on the first week end in March, I think they will be holding this again next year. People travel some distance to go to these events so you may want to contact the Ethnow musicology department and offer a convention deal. There were over 120 people at this event, your establishment was so convenient to the place it was held in. I hope you had a nice Holiday in Spain.

comments I simply cannot give review as we didn't stay at the Blarney Stone guest house.A few days before our arrival in Cork , I got an email from the management saying that they will not be open and that we cannot be accomodated on the dates that we have booked.I was in panic when I got th email and I called them from Sydney ,Australia .I was asking for my reservations fee but they said I have to do it thru the net .I didn't know how to do it and so I emailed them again but I never got a reply.It was just disgusting because they didn't give enough time to look for another hotel .Luckily , when we got to Cork we got an accomodation . Thank you very much and I hope our reservation fee will be refunded in my credit card soon. Sincerely, Prima

Maid looking after bedrooms and the dining area, we found to be the most miserable and unfriendly person we have ever met.

comments Decor was very nice, but located near university. Drunken students yelling in the alley behind my bedroom and at the front of the house someone ringing the doorbell and then banging on the door till 5:00 in the morning. I would say one of the tenants came back and fell asleep and didn't hear when his friend came back. The owner was in the back of the house and did not hear or did not respond. When I arrived I upgraded my room so the price was 10 euros more. When I booked this B&B I paid 5.82 euros. The deposit was 2.87 euros. The owner made me pay the full amount even when I had a copy of my e-mail. She did not speak to me, she had her employee tell me I must pay the full amount. That was not acceptable!

comments Great location and lovely people! Room was very clean and well presented, but only a little bit small with a view of the side of next doors building. Only bad point really was that breakfast took a long time to be served, but if you aren't in a hurry then thats ok!! Overall, would definitely recommend staying here and would return myself!

comments We were charmed by the very warm welcome we got in Blarney Stone Guesthouse. A really friendly atmosphere, a very clean room and nice breakfast. Situated at a 10 minute walk from the town centre is ideal. Should we ever visit Cork again we wish to stay at the Blarney Stone.

comments unfortunately we stayed only for one night in the blarney stone guesthouse, the house is stunning, i would have loved to stay there forever. the service is nice, the rooms are beautiful and the breakfast delicious. i can only recommend it and will definitely come back myself at some stage!

comments The Blarney Stone is a beautiful B & B. It is a convenient walking distance to downtown Cork, University of Cork where my daughter is on semester abroad. The breakfast's were excellent, prepared with care. Also the place is spotless and shining in every corner and especially in the bedrooms. Would definitely recommend The Blarney Stone. She was also so helpful in advising where to go while in Ireland. So happy and Ireland is a beautiful Country, enjoyed our stay tremendously.
