Established in 1957 by the O'Donoghue family, Gleneagle Hotel Killarney is a 3 star hotel located just outside Killarney Town on the Ring of Kerry. Swimming Our 25 metre pool is complimentary to all hotel and apartment residents and the 10m kiddies splash pool is ideal for learners and children. After an energetic session in the swimming pool take a relaxing break in our sauna, Jacuzzi or steam room. This relaxation area is an adult only zone and patrons must be 18 years or over to enter. Private one-to-one swimming lessons can be arranged with an in-house instructor for an additional fee.

Miracle Play Centre Children can explore our exciting play area with a ball pool, 3 slides, monkey bars and much more! The Miracle Play centre is fully supervised and is suitable for children aged 2-6 years. Open to residents at a charge of €5 per child per hour and pre-booking is advised.

Tennis courts rental is €10 per hour for hotel residents. The courts must be pre-booked at the Aquila Club dates go up 3days in advance. There is a charge of €5 to rent 2 rackets a ball for an hourly session. Our Savannah courts are also flood-lit (Extra Charge) for evening players.
Table Tennis is also available to residents and can be pre-booked at the Aquila Club dates go up 3 days in advance. There is a charge of €5 to rent 2 bats and a ball for a 30 min session Squash

Squash courts rental is free of charge to hotel residents. The courts must be pre-booked at the Aquila Club dates go up 3 days in advance. There is a charge of €5 to rent 2 rackets a ball for a 40 min session.

Pitch n Putt The 18 hole Pitch and Putt course is open at 10am every morning. The average time to complete the course is 1 and a half to 2 hours. Residents are required to pay per play, Green fees are €2 per person with their own clubs. Residents who require clubs pay €7.

Eager Eagles Kids Club: At peak family holiday times, the Aquila Club offers a wide range of activities within its Eager Eagles Kids Club Programmes. These run daily and are open to all children from ages 4-14 years.

How to get there: Gleneagle Hotel Killarney is located one mile outside Killarney town, on the N71 - Muckross road, adjacent to the 25,000 acre National Park.

Nearby: Ring of Kerry, Lakes of Killarney & Killarney National Park, several Championship Golf courses, hill walking, cycling... Killarney National Park - 25,000 acres of mountain and woodland is only 5 minutes walk away, literally cross the road and follow the pedestrian strip straight down the road to the park entrance. From here Muckross Abbey is a beautiful 15 minute walk along the lake show and a further 20 minutes walk to Muckross House and Gardens. Torc Waterfall is a further 15 minute stroll through Muckross Gardens or many take a jaunting Car (pony & trap) to the waterfall.
