We rreally enjoyed our stay at Cabra Castle. It is a fantastic setting for a wedding. We were so lucky with the weather, and the balcony is a great place to welcome the bride and groom back from the church. The rooms in the court yard were exceptional. Staff very professional.

I sent my parents to Cabra castle for their anniversary, They were very disappointed that their room was in the court room and not the castle. They have been to many of the Castle hotels in Ireland and enjoy the history associated with the buildings. The website didn't specify that the rooms may be courtyard or castle.

My stay was wonderful, thouroughly enjoyed it. The dog was a major highlight, as a dog lover appreciated him very much, however he could be doing with a bath! Room was fantastic, as was the service. Thankyou very much.

Stayed one night at Cabra Castle. Stayed in the courtyard which was lovely, very spacious rooms with large en-suites. If you want to stay in the castle itself you need to specify this I think. I had a 5 course set meal for about 39euro, and the accomodation itself was excellent value too. The place has lots of character; ornately decorated rooms and centuries old portraits adorning the walls- clutterfully good! They did unfortunately have plenty of disturbing deer heads and animal skulls around the place. One was a doe's head and front legs mounted on a plaque; the stuff of nightmares I tells ya! Service was excellent, staff very friendly. If I was a golfer they'd have got a 5, even with Bambi's Ma........

When I made the booking, I had expected a room in the castle. At no stage during the booking process was I informed that my room was in the courtyard. I was made aware if this when I arrived, as all room in the castle were reserved for wedding guests I was unable to change, very dissapointing. I am not complaining about my room in the courtyard, it was beautiful but not in the castle as expected. Can I suggest that you make customers aware at the time of booking that most rooms are not actually in the castle. Otherwise my stay was very nice. I have given a 3 rating because of my dissapointment at not being aware that my room was not in the castle.

We had 2 rooms that were bottom level in the courtyard. The floors above were horrible, allowing very loud creaking as the people above walked around. This did not allow for a good nights rest, or for a comfortable evening relaxing.....listening to the constant squeaking and creaking above. We also moved out of the rooms it was that bad.
The dining experience was wonderful, the grounds gorgeous.
If we ever stay in one of your hotels, it will not be in a courtyard room
