comments Staff were lovely throughout the hotel. We had to stay in a smoking room but when requested, a member of staff sprayed the room to reduce the smell of smoke. Dinner was lovely, although breakfast could have been better. the leisure centre was really enjoyable. Overall a great stay and excellent value for money.

We apologise that the Salon was not open whilst you were staying with us, we open every Thursday to Sunday as this tends to be the busiest time with bookings. comments This was our second visit to this hotel, great value package, relaxed attitude to kids, mainly friendly staff, would recommend to families. Plenty to do with the leisure centre downstairs and the Dome next door. Dosn't matter if it rains non-stop!

comments The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and professional. We did find however that the overall tempeture in the hotel was slightly cold. Our room was comfortable once we put the heater on but the rest of the hotel was cool to a point were it was a little uncomfortable. Bar food was nice and the breakfast was excellent, wide choice. All in all I would recommend this hotel.

comments We brought our 2 children aged 7 with us to the talbot hotel. I found the hotel excellent and the staff very helpful. Breakfast was excellent and service was great. The dinner menu was was abit over the top and because the menu was so fancy it was difficult to find a meal one actually would like. The desserts were very disappointing for the adults. Children menus was very good and I would have prefered their menu.

comments My stay was wonderful in the Talbot Hotel Carlow and their facilities are second to none and great value for money. I had only one small issue and that related to when I was checking out. I noted an extra item on my bill and when queried the receptionist showed me a charge docket from the leisure centre for something purchased and insisted it was my signature when in fact it didnt resemble my sig at all. It was only for a small amount and she then took it off my bill, but it put a slight dampner on what was a wonderful break.

comments We chose the Talbot Hotel Carlow for my brothers 30th birthday. There was a party or 18 and everyone had a very enjoyable weekend. The staff were all very pleasent and helpfull. Unfortunately I was unable to use the beauty salon as it was booked out. I would suggest advising customers to book in advance when making reservations. the hotel itself was beautyful.

comments Very disappointed with the dinner we received. Beef was very dry & I was given very little pepper sauce. I got ONE piece of mashed potatoe which was a disgrace and the vegetables was under-cooked. Apart from the dinner everything else was perfect including a fantastic selection of foods for breakfast. Good leisure centre also.

comments The Food was great and the staff lovely. The bar was clean and had good entertainment. Overall we had a great stay at the Talbot Hotel and we will be returning.

comments We as a family enjoyed our stay at the Talbot hotel, Carlow. We found our rooms top standard catering for our needs with new baby etc. Staff very pleasant and food extremely good. Having the pool and the "Dome" next to hotel provided great entertainment for both children and parents. Only flaw we found was at breakfast with delays due to making your own toast, never endured anywhere else before, running out of orange juice, again never heard of hotel running out of juice but overall we enjoyed our stay in the hotel and would love to go back for another break soon....

comments The hotel was very clean, the bed room was big and airy, the food at dinner was just OK, breakfast was fine, staff were friendly,Hotel is in a bit of a building site at the moment, went to the reception desk for was I thought were complimentary news papers only to be asked for payment, in every hotel I have stayed in they always have morning papers free of charge and this as Catherine Tate would say "is in a 4 star hotel" 'dont ask'

comments Place is fantastic. Staff were incredibly helpful at all times, food is great in the restuarant, but lacking a bit in the cafe/bar. Package deal was well thought out. All in all a great place to spend a few days.
