Hi Rhonda Thank you for review, you are correct in your oberservation our shower cubicles are all standard (800mm x 800mm)bases fitted with thermostatic power showers. Guess its an American V European thing, big v small

I note your comments on Bookassisit this morning and thank you for the positive feed back it is always nice to get this from guests and I strongly believe it helps impending guests make informed decisions. Helen above said I am concerned & un sure what area of town you are referring to as 20mins walk from Avlon House we are located within the Technical town boundary and for me personally Shamrock Square is a 7 min brisk walk, that is where the Big new building has gone up at the Traffic Lights opposite Reddy's Bar & Restaurant. I agree The Town Park (Graigcullen) may be 20 mins walk, while the post office may be 15 mins walk or Fair Green Shopping centre 10mins. I guess it all depends where in town you are referencing your walk to. I would respectfully ask that you might reconsider your 20min reference as without a reference point it could be misinterpreted as implying we are out in the sticks and I hope you will agree that is far from accurate. While we are not town centre we are as stated on our listings within walking distance of the centre & far enough removed to avoid the dangers & noses of late night revelry.

Hi Sarah, I am very disappointed at the below review you placed on the internet about the services offered by Avlon House and Rates charged by Barrowville Town House, its wholly inaccurate and damaging to both our hard earned reputations. Firstly you choose electronic communication when you made an on line reservation not a telephone one. I am sorry if you feel we should have telephoned, we always communicate with clients using the method they chose when making the reservation. This is normally there communication channel of choice. I note you again used electronic communication to voice your displeasure at being moved and the associated charges not Telephone as you suggest we should have used. On discovering guests who were with us wanted to extended their stay in order to finish the job they were working on in town. we arranged to transfer your reservation in full to another AA 4 star property Barrowville Town house. Barrowville is a Guesthouse and carries a Bord Failte 3 star Rating while Avlon House is a B&B carrying Bord Failte approval only as B&B's are not star rated with Bord Failte. (Copy of that communication is below timed 10.14 within an hour of me learning I had a problem and 3 days before your arrival date) Barrowville's rate for single occupancy is €55.00 per night and not €39.00 as you suggest on your posting, this is in fact the per person sharing rate if you care to recheck the web site. Sarah perhaps it would have being simpler pick up the phone and discuss your issues with me or discuss them directly with Dermot or Anna during your stay at Barrowville rather than vilifying our houses in such a savage manner on the internet. I am coping this mail to Barrowville Town House & the Bookassist team in the hope your posting can be removed, as it mentions a property not associated with Bookassist & rates not appropriate to the dispute in hand.
