great little hotel. free wifi is a plus. doesn't have all the amenities like a bar fridge in the room. room is not carpeted but tiled so it may get chilly on the feet. breakfast in the cafeteria consists of coffee/juice and some pasteries (all self service).
as advertised, you are right in the Gothic Quarter, so church bells will begin at 9am sharp and continue every 30 minutes.
it is located just 3/4 of a block from la rambla, so it is quite noisy. It is very close to metro. i would definitely stay there again. |

The hotel is clean and perfectly located as it is 100metres only from la rambla.
Room was fine and the noise wasnt too much.

el hotel super situado. Todo muy limpio, muy sencillo, pero agradable. Algunos problemas con el aseo de mi habitacion. Un dia no lo arreglaron y otros dias no me cambiaban las sabanas. eso me molestó y al final me retire del hotel. |

The rooms have been cleaned every day and towels have been exchanged daily. The Hotel-personal was very friendly. The aircondition doesn't work because it was changed in heating! It was middle of Oct. and very warm, so we have to open the window. Outside ist was so loud, that you only can sleep with earplugs. But the hotel is ideal for sightseeing. A side-street of the Ramblas. But take a room at the back of the house. This would be better. |

Tub too high, shower very poor could not regulate the direction well. No stopper for tub... I felt like this hotel regards customers as potential problems... towels are rags and good for dermabrasion.
Good location for Gothic Section. Lots to do around the area... it was safe inside the hotel. Loved Barcelona!!! |

The hotel itself was in a perfect location, rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard, unfortunately I found the majority of reception staff to be less then helpful as well as being somewhat rude. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Barcelona and would recommend this hotel to any traveller on a budget seeking a great location. |

The rooms were very neat and functional; the bathroom was also very nice. The TV, air-conditioning and in-built safe were all very useful. The only criticism I would make is that there was a lot of building work going on opposite the hotel, so that it was quite noisy, however this is obviously not the fault of the hotel. The reception staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly. |

The bathroom needs to be updated. It is very old. The shower has to be hand-held. Lighting could be brighter in the bedroom. Room was generally OK but felt gloomy. We think the room was over-priced but probably paid for the area (La Rambla) more than the room. |

I was very impressed by the quality of this hotel and cheap price of its rooms. The room we stayed in had two small balconies which looked out over a pedestrianised street full of character. They were clean and included a safe and metal shutters over the windows which added to further security. Hotel Condal is situated just off Las Ramblas meaning we were in a prime location. The beach was only a 10min picturesque walk from the hotel. Overall I would highly recomend this hotel for travelers/holidaymakers on a tight budget. |

The hotel is in a very central location. We asked for a quiet room which was at the back of the hotel. So, no nice views but it was indeed quiet. The room was adequate for the price range but was quite small and lacked any character. The room and bathroom were clean so all in all if you want a hotel in a good location at a decent price then this is probaly a good bet. |

All in all we had a very nice stay and the hotel fulfilled our expectations. Although we didn't get neither a balcony or a double bed as we requested in the booking form. We were offered another room on the first floor but as it is a very low-ceiling floor and I am a rather tall man, we settled with the original twin bed room. (If you are tall or you have problems with confined spaces you should ask for other floors than 1st.) This was only a minor problem though and we had a fantastic holiday in BCN and the hotel is located as central as you can ask for! |

Well located and very clean. Hotel staff were on the whole excellent, but we had problems with the safe in our room and were unable to use this as was not fixed till late one evening.This curtailed our evening plans completely. Other than that no complaints. The Hotel is central to the hub of the city. |

Muy buena situación y aunque es cierto que hay algo de ruido por estar en plena rambla, si llegáis muy cansados ni os daréis cuenta. Las habitaciones no son una maravilla aunque está limpia, que por lo menos es lo que yo más valoro, es ideal si vais a estar la mayor parte del tiempo viendo la ciudad. El trato del personal es correcto, aunque la consigna deja un poco que desear ya que tienes que dejar tus maletas en la cafetería incluyo antes de que acabe el desayuno, pero aunque con un poco de miedo, a nosotros no nos faltó nada. |

l'albergo non è uno dei più nuovi, ma è ben tenuto e ben pulito (cosa molto importante). Collocazione eccezionale per poter usufruire dei mezzi pubblici ed essere subito sulla Rambla (1 minuto a piedi). |

The hotel itself was excellent, clean, secure anda great location. I did however experience problems at night returning to the hotel.We stayed 3 nights and on each when we returned to the hotel (3 males) at around 02:30 we were accosted by around 20 to 30 black women who mobbed us and we're attempting to pickpocket us. Each night they were waiting at the end of the street where it joins the Ramblas. It wouldnt put me off staying in the Hotel again and they never managed to rob us but people need to be aware of this before booking this hotel. |

The location of this hotel was fantastic,within walking distance to all the major attrctions and transport routes. the staff were also very friendly. The only negative thing about Hotel Condal is the noise from the street at night time, I often found it difficult to get to slepp. |

Hotel very good in every respect, except our room was on front which was noisy at night. This, of course, is all part of Barcelona, but rooms at back might be quieter., |
