comments The staff is very welcoming and the rooms are very clean. The hotel is extremely well located (10 steps from the Ramblas and the nearest underground). The only thing that should be improved is the sound-proofing with the outside sounds. We highly recommend this hotel in Barcelona.

comments Hotellets läge i centrum är perfekt. Personalen vänlig. Städningen vad det gäller golven var dålig.De var inte torkade. Luftkonditioneringen gick ej att använda, vilket gjorde att man var tvungen att ha fönstret öppet nattetid. Detta i sin tur medförde att ljudet som kom utifrån och också delvis in ifrån hotellet var mycket högt. Det går absolut inte att sova utan öronproppar.

comments L'hôtel Condal est bien situé, proche de la station de métro Liceu. Entouré de rues piétonnes, insonorisé et bien fréquenté, les seuls bruits incommodants proviennent certains soirs de cris de fêtards dans la rue. Le petit déjeuner est à la carte et servi à partir de 8h30 seulement. Ne pas s'attendre à une vue exceptionnelle.

comments The Hotel was exactly want we were expecting. There was some building work going on at the time but we were disturbed by it. The gentleman that received us was very pleasant. It is a basic hotel but that was what we wanted. It was clean and tidy.

comments great little hotel. free wifi is a plus. doesn't have all the amenities like a bar fridge in the room. room is not carpeted but tiled so it may get chilly on the feet. breakfast in the cafeteria consists of coffee/juice and some pasteries (all self service). as advertised, you are right in the Gothic Quarter, so church bells will begin at 9am sharp and continue every 30 minutes. it is located just 3/4 of a block from la rambla, so it is quite noisy. It is very close to metro. i would definitely stay there again.

comments The rooms have been cleaned every day and towels have been exchanged daily. The Hotel-personal was very friendly. The aircondition doesn't work because it was changed in heating! It was middle of Oct. and very warm, so we have to open the window. Outside ist was so loud, that you only can sleep with earplugs. But the hotel is ideal for sightseeing. A side-street of the Ramblas. But take a room at the back of the house. This would be better.

I felt like this hotel regards customers as potential problems... towels are rags and good for dermabrasion. Good location for Gothic Section. comments The rooms were very neat and functional; the bathroom was also very nice. The TV, air-conditioning and in-built safe were all very useful. The only criticism I would make is that there was a lot of building work going on opposite the hotel, so that it was quite noisy, however this is obviously not the fault of the hotel. The reception staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly.

comments The bathroom needs to be updated. It is very old. The shower has to be hand-held. Lighting could be brighter in the bedroom. Room was generally OK but felt gloomy. We think the room was over-priced but probably paid for the area (La Rambla) more than the room.

comments I was very impressed by the quality of this hotel and cheap price of its rooms. The room we stayed in had two small balconies which looked out over a pedestrianised street full of character. They were clean and included a safe and metal shutters over the windows which added to further security. Hotel Condal is situated just off Las Ramblas meaning we were in a prime location. The beach was only a 10min picturesque walk from the hotel. Overall I would highly recomend this hotel for travelers/holidaymakers on a tight budget.

comments The hotel is in a very central location. We asked for a quiet room which was at the back of the hotel. So, no nice views but it was indeed quiet. The room was adequate for the price range but was quite small and lacked any character. The room and bathroom were clean so all in all if you want a hotel in a good location at a decent price then this is probaly a good bet.

We were offered another room on the first floor but as it is a very low-ceiling floor and I am a rather tall man, we settled with the original twin bed room. (If you are tall or you have problems with confined spaces you should ask for other floors than 1st.) This was only a minor problem though and we had a fantastic holiday in BCN and the hotel is located as central as you can ask for!

comments Muy buena situación y aunque es cierto que hay algo de ruido por estar en plena rambla, si llegáis muy cansados ni os daréis cuenta. Las habitaciones no son una maravilla aunque está limpia, que por lo menos es lo que yo más valoro, es ideal si vais a estar la mayor parte del tiempo viendo la ciudad. El trato del personal es correcto, aunque la consigna deja un poco que desear ya que tienes que dejar tus maletas en la cafetería incluyo antes de que acabe el desayuno, pero aunque con un poco de miedo, a nosotros no nos faltó nada.

comments The hotel itself was excellent, clean, secure anda great location. I did however experience problems at night returning to the hotel.We stayed 3 nights and on each when we returned to the hotel (3 males) at around 02:30 we were accosted by around 20 to 30 black women who mobbed us and we're attempting to pickpocket us. Each night they were waiting at the end of the street where it joins the Ramblas. It wouldnt put me off staying in the Hotel again and they never managed to rob us but people need to be aware of this before booking this hotel.

comments It was a really lovely place to stay, its just a minutes walk off the main La Ramble street which is always full of activity. Our room was quite small but was very very clean and safe, Their was also a very secure safe in the room and all the workers were plesant. If you are going for a holiday where you will be out late then its a great place but if you will be in bed early then ensure to get a room at the back of the hotel beccause the noise at the front goes on all night. We really enjoyed out stay and it is extremly clean and safe.

comments the photos of the hotel showed it in agreater light than it actually was. Once through the very small reception there is a canteen area and that is it. The rooms were fine but if you are at the front you will get a lot of noise 24 hours a day. We were on the fourth floor and even in the middle of the night the noise from cleaners deliveries etc was non stop even though it is in a small side street. If you dont drink and want a quiet early night dont take the chance on this hotel. If you are going to be out late and have a few drinks and are not worried about a hotel bar then the hotel is fine as a base. The bars on las ramblas are extortionate (6 euro for a beer at cheapeast and 7 euro at most on the seats on the footpath)

comments The hotel is in a great location, right off the Ramblas. The room itself, however, was very small and while the sheets were clean the bedspread was badly stained and dirty. The air conditioning was not operable - the hotel attendent said that the whole building either has to be on heat or on air conditioning - so if you hit a warm period during fall months, be prepared to be uncomfortable. The front-desk people were reasonably helpful and the hotel felt pretty safe and secure. Decent, but I'd probably check around before booking there again.

comments Because of the previously posted reviews, we expected the Hotel Condal staff to be friendly and the hotel to be clean, yet basic. This is exactly what we got. I can't remember if the other reviews mentioned the location of the Condal or not, but I cannot stress enough how convenient the Condal is. This was my fourth visit to Barcelona and my wife's fifth and we both agreed that it is the best located hotel we've stayed in and great value for money.
