We loved the windows and balcony for our room. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. The rooftop terrace was quite nice, too. Though the street outside the hotel can be a little loud at night, overall we really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ciutat Vella!

The free coffee and pastries all day long was a very nice bonus. The wifi did not work in my room though and that was very frustrating.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean and modern. The location to Las Ramblas and Catalunya Plaza was good as well. I would stay here again while in Barcelona.

Helpful and friendly staff, great location - would have preferred a double bed rather than two singles pushed together though. Loved the free bottles of water - Thank you. :-)

The hotel is well located and its infrastructure is fine. The rooms are good. The breakfast is rich. On the negative side, the staff could have been more polite and on the customer side. For example, they swipe your credit card as guarantee, but if you need a cable to access the Internet, you need to leave 5 Euros as a deposit. By the way, the WiFi network, included in the price, was quite shaky. Very often it stopped working or was too slow.

Beds are very comfortable. All you can drink water is incredibly convenient and healthy. Employees are very friendly (from receptionist to cleaning ladies). Location is phenomenal just 3 minutes away from La Rambla and 5 from metro station. Breakfast is not so much value for money. TV was a bit disappointing (didn't work for some time) and only has one English speaking channel (CNN). But I guess you're not in Barcelona to watch TV:). Internet (once working) is light fast

We really enjoyed our stay at Ciutat Vella. The location is very convenient;the room was comfortable and the breakfast was very good - usual continental choice but filling and fresh. The tea and coffee 'on tap' and the bottled water are most welcome. The roof top Jacuzzi is an added bonus as are the sunbeds. It was relaxing just to have an hour there before joning the throng again in the evening. The staff at the Hotel are efficient, knowledgable and friendly. The graffiti to be found on local buildings could be off putting but this is common in many European cities and Barcelona is no exception. It remains a superb city for a short break. We would be happy to recommend the hotel. Isobel Brady

Très agréable séjour à l'hotel Ciutat Vella. Les chambres sont propres, la literie est bonne. Au premier étage il y a même un petit balcon. Mise à disposition gratuitement de bouteilles d'eau et d'un ordinateur. Par contre le petit déjeuner est cher pour ce qui est proposé. Mieux vaut le prendre à l'extérieur.

Nous avons passé un bon séjour, mais nous sommes déçus parce qu'on a du payer notre petit déjeuner et rien nous était indiqué dans la réservation et la réception ne nous a pas averti qu'on devait le payer.

Hotel très bien placé à 5 minutes de la Rambla. Parking payant indépendant de l'hotel juste à côté (un peu cher, mais y'en au un). Chambres propres, celles donnant sur cour sont très calmes.

I would highly recommand this hotel to nayone ! Very well located, not too expensive, my room was small but the terrase is so nice ! The breakfast is ok, the staff is very nice and helpful.
