Muy insatisfactorio. Por el precio de la habitación me esperaba algo bastante mejor, no lujos, pero tampoco una pensión de mala muerte.
La atención al cliente pésima, y la limpieza, inexistente.
Ademas hacen publicidad engañosa, el hostal es mucho peor de lo que aparece en la página web, y eso de que hay acceso a internet en todas las habitaciones....pues bueno....si te bajas al locutorio de la esquina tienes internet, pero en la habitación, va a ser que no. Y el personal, pues muy bien no es que hable, ni español ni inglés.
En fin, que por 30 euros no me hubiese quejado (era una pensión normalilla), pero el precio me ha parecido excesivo. Y la publicidad que hacen es engañosa, lo que anuncian en la web tiene muy poco que ver con la realidad.

Los "pluses": buena localidad, seguridad (deje mi laptop, camaras en apartamento - no habia ningun problema), limpio, la gente del servicio muy simpaticos, las camas son comodas y en buen estado.
Los "minuses": las ventanas son como si no existieron - frio y el ruido de la calle se siente muy bien, los muebles - salvo la cama - en estado muy malo, la entrada a la ducha muy estrecha. la ducha i lavabo dentro de la habitacion, pinturas de las paredes feisimas (color y calidad).
Generalmente en el hostal se ahorra en todo, por ejemplo poniendo agua en jabon liquido, pero es tambien barato. Para la gente a quien no importa el lujo, que quiren solo tener donde dormir - es ok. Yo no arrepiento mi estancia alla.

It is a nice small private hostel.
Just 200m away fom Sagrada Familia and Metro station.
It could be a bit more clean and better maintaned, but in overall it is OK. I believe it is a good bargain, 40Eur/day for a room with 2 beds and shower (in almost centre of Barcelona) is very good price. We stayed in for 8 days and we had a very nice time in Barcelona.

The hopstal was a great diisapointment, the worse l have visited. The service minded by the staff was bad. Due to humidity, there were a terrible smell in the room(s).One night there was a overflow all over the hoatal floor, especially in my rom. The nightwatch saw it but didn't wake us up. Thus many of my things had long time to be wet and ruined.
There were two norhafricans working in the reception where they also slept- one at the floor the other in a sofa. Is this the way it should be?
In Barcelona, l had a strict programme and no energy to look for another hostal something l maybe should have done.
Regret the late rely of this message.

We arrived at the hostel and the room was in such terrible condition that we left 10 minutes post arrival. The owner did agree not to charge us for the stay.

The room and facilities were clean but basic. The room contrary to what we booked did not have an ensuite. Our room had a shower and washbasin. The toilet facilities were communal. The owner said that because it was very warm and the rooms with the ensuite faced into the building he was not using them. The rooms had no airconditioning although the room had a large window that could be opened. However for Barcelona the price was good. The location close to the Sagrada Familia Cathedral and Metro was good. As our stay was only 3 nights and we only slept in the room we were quite happy.

Für den Preis war das Hotel ok. Es war eigentlich alles sauber, aber die Dusche hat dann doch nicht so appetitlich ausgesehen (Fugen übermalt - event Schimmel dahinter?? - Kaputte Duschwand) dass ich mir Duschschlapfen gekauft habe. Die Zimmer zur Straße hin waren etwas laut, aber Oropax haben wir ja im Standardreisegepäck. Mit denen gings gut. Die Zimmer ohne Fenster würde ich nicht empfehlen, da dann das Zimmer (mit der Dusche drinnen) nicht gelüfter werden kann. Wie gesagt, für den Preis war es ok, aber wir wollen auf jeden Fall so nicht mehr wohnen. War uns doch zu wenig Komfort.

we've stayed at Hostal Satram for 7 nights and everything was all right: our room has been cleaned every day, the stuff was very kind and the neighbourhood, though lively enough (it cannot be compared to Ciutat Vella or to Barrio Gotico, of course, but you can find planty of restaurants/bars/shops in the area), was not disturbingly noisy. the price/conditions rate is very convenient as for the price we payed we didn't expect anything better. the only thing we missed was an internet wifi connection.

La estancia fue muy buena, es un hostal bueno.El único pego que le veo que la calefacción no se regulaba en la habitación,había que pedirselo al recepcionista que era muy atento y agradable

If you are in need of a really cheap hostel and you don`t like dorms Satram is perfect, its clean and has a good location.

I had to pay an additional 25 EUR as key deposit, which was quite surprising. Otherwise the staff is really friendly and the hotstel is simple but clean and confortable.

this hostal is enough if you want just a place to sleep. But the best of this is the localization, excelent, near from sagrada familia, around two blocks. The hostal is clean. There are a lot of restaurants neaby.
Like i told, is enough to take some rest and start again in another day

Hotel Satram is quite close to Sagrada Familia & the metro - 5 minute walk. That's quite convenient. The hotel room and toilets are clean. The owners spoke English well. The hotel is on the first floor. The ground floor door is always kept locked which kept the smoke inside. So, just when we entered, there was bad smell. I was worried how the hotel would be. But luckily upstairs in the hotel lobby all the windows are kept open and there is fresh air flow everywhere on this floor and the smell disappeared. The hotel is a good deal in Barcelona. You just have to ignore that smell while going up the stairs on to the first floor.

There isn´t really anything else than just the rooms. Rooms are pretty big but I wouldn`t recommend this hostel to anyone.

rooms are a bit dirty and in 12 days of staying have never been cleaned.
it was a bit difficult to communicate with the hostal owner beacase he speaks only a not very good english

The Hostel was very adequate for our needs, It was very clean inside,Manager very helpful but great language barrier. Room very hot and fan broken made it a bit uncomfortable.
