Hola, comentarle que pasamos unos días en el hostal, y todo muy bien. la situación en las mismas ramblas, pequeño pero muy acogedor y limpio. Cambio de toallas diario. El personal muy amable y dispueto para aclarar cualquier duda. A nosotros nos toco una habitación interior y sugerimos un cambio si era posible y nos buscaron solución rapido. El desayuno estaba muy bien para ser un hostal.

This is a good hotel run by friendly staff with good English. The location is perfect for all the restaurants, bars, shopping and the subway. The breakfast offered a good range of food, which was included in the price. If you plan to have an early night sleep, it can be noisy if the room faces on to La Ramblas, but if you like to party until late the hotel is an ideal choose.

Estuvimos muy bien.El hostal esta muy centrico.El desayuno incluido es de lo mejor, salir a la calle con el estomago lleno no tiene precio.Eran un poco incomodas las escaleras de acceso a la recepcion, pero cuando fui ya sabia que existian.La habitacion nos daba a un patio interior,lo que hacia que la habitacion fuera muy oscura, pero solo para dormir suficiente.TOdo limpio,cambio de toallas diario.EL baño bastante pequeño, dependiendo de las medidas de cada uno si estas hermoso no entras apenas, y si te duchas tienes que pensar que luego no puedes acceder alwc porque elsuelo esta mojado.Pero en general estuvimos a gusto que es lo importante.La recepcionista asiatica? Muy agradable.

Muy bien el trato muy agradable y atento. Servicio bàsico y limpio que es lo importante. Aunque esté en una zona muy concurrida, apenas se oia el ruido exterior.
Por su ubicación es un hostal céntrico y de fácil acceso a los servicios de transporte y otros lugares centricos de barcelona.

Mi chico y yo hemos vuelto de Barcelona muy contentos con el hostal , tanto por las instalaciones como por el personal que trabaja alli. Solo cambiaria que la cama chirriaba un poquito , pero me lo contrarestaba el buen buffet del desayuno. Se lo recomiendo a todos .

Redelijk tot goed hostal, goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding, goede ligging direkt aan de ramblas, ontbijt is eenvoudig maar voldoende,
minpuntje: kamers zijn gehorig (intern, wij sliepen direct naast de receptie). Van het geluid van buiten hadden we geen last.
Al met al positief, mochten we opnieuw naar Barcelona gaan, zullen we dit Hostal zeker in onze keuze meenemen.

Wonderful location. The rooms were clean and acceptable. A good budget option with sufficient accomodations directly on Las Ramblas. The beds are a little worn, however, considering the location, it is a fair value for what you pay. Good staff.

El hostal está muy bien situado para moverte por barcelona, con una parada de metro justo al lado. Las habitaciones están muy limpias y nuevas, todos los días te hacen el cambio de toallas y limpian la habitación. El desayuno está bien, acorde con el precio y que es un servicio que no suele ofrecer los hostales. Hemos tenido una estancia muy agradable.

hôtel très bien placé (en haut de la rambla) avec arrêt de métro juste en face ( liceu) , accueil agréable , parle le français correctement, chambre propre , petit dej' copieux avec super vue sur la rambla! prix très abordable! on y retournera certainement!

Overall this is a good hostel. The breakfast and service quality for the price is right. The only detail that should take care is the Cleaning of the rooms, because it is very superficial.

По большому счету, при такой цене расположение оправдывает скромность размеров комнаты и удобства в единственной комнате :) К персоналу и еде претензий нет.
В общем, вполне достойный эконом-вариант в самом центре Барселоны. За три дня мы не разу не пользовались транспортом, кроме фуникулера на Монтжуик (ну разве что в Парк Гуэль имело смысл проехать на метро)

El Hostal nos encantó: está muy bien situado, en las Ramblas, al lado del Teatro Liceo. El desayuno, incluído, adecuado, y el personal muy atento. Las habitaciones son un poco pequeñas, pero en Europa casi todas son así (no con en Estados Unidos que son bien grande).
Lo único no muy bueno es que para llegar al Hostal, en el piso 1 hay
que subir escaleras (25 escalones) porque el elevador empieza en
el piso 1. Pero por lo demás, lo vamos a recomendar y cuando volvamos a Barcelona nos alojaremos ahí.

I stayed in solo room of Hostal Mare Nostrum. Hotel has excellent location, just beside Metro station. It is easy to arrive to this hotel e.g. from Airport. Old town sights are just a stone's throw from the hotel. The service at the reception was nice and helpful. The room was quite small, but clean, every day cleaned, bed made and towels changed. Windows were silent, no sounds outside. The walls between the rooms were quite thin and you can easilly hear the sounds of rooms next to you. Therefore I recommend air plugs, which I luckily had with me. The shower was good and functional, just the shower door did not closed correctly and would require small repair/adjustments. Wifi was functioning nicely (my room was in the 2nd floor, just abobe the reception). The breakfast was very good, toast, ham, salamis, cheeses. Also yoghurt, coffee, juice, cookies and other sweet coffeebreads were nice. Definitely I can recommed this hotel very warmly.

Wir waren nicht das erste Mal da und wir werden wieder kommen. So zentral liegt keine andere günstige Unterkunft. Es ist alles da was man braucht: Sauberes Bett, Dusche und WC und ein Frühstück das den Namen auch verdient.

nuestros dias en barcelona no podrian haber sido tan agradables sino hubieramos podido tener un sitio de descanso agradable y comodo.el hostal mere nostrum cumplio nuestras espectativas. mi unica queja puede ser quizas que el aire acondicionado no enfriaba lo suficiente, tambien estoy en la menospaucia y tengo todo el tiempo calor, pero ademas fueron dias muy calurosos. la ubicacion es perfecta, casi insuperable. la atencion muy cordial y practica a la vez, agradezco en especial a claudio que fue con nosotros ademas de atento , instructivo, cooperativo y nos guio hasta en consejos de donde o no comer. en dos palabras nos hizo sentir comodos , como en casa. el desayuno bien, el cuarto espacioso al igual que el bano y el balcon a la rambla divino. gracias y sin duda regresaremos cuando volvamos a barcelona.

The staff at the Hostal Mare Nostrum was great. They were friendly and very helpful to us during our stay. We realized before hand that we'd be staying in a small hostal and had been warned about problems in these type of establishments, but to our surprise this was a very nice place to stay. I'd recommend it to anyone. We might even come back someday.

la atención del personal del hostal fue excelente, muy buena ubicación, lo único que no nos gustó fue la transparencia de la mampara del baño del cual no se puede tener intimidad, cada vez que alguno tenía que ir a hacer sus necesidades el otro tenía que salir de la habitación, tendrían que oscurecer la mampara

L'ostello è posizionato bene, proprio sulla parte centrale della Rambla. La pulizia era evidente in ogni ambiente dell'ostello. Il prezzo della stanza, che comprende anche la colazione, mi è sembrato corretto e proporzioanto al periodo del soggiorno, fine agosto. In QUATTRO per stanza abbiamo speso 600 euro per 4 notti. Lo consiglio vivamente. Il personale della reception è stato sempre disponibile per qualsiasi richiesta di informazione od altro. Le finestre della stanza sono insonorizzate in maniera eccellente. L'ostello è posizionato bene, proprio sulla parte centrale della Rambla.
La pulizia era evidente in ogni ambiente dell'ostello.
Il prezzo della stanza, che comprende anche la colazione, mi è sembrato corretto e proporzioanto al periodo del soggiorno, fine agosto.
In tre per stanza abbiamo speso poco più di 400 euro per 4 notti.
Lo consiglio e ci riandrei se devo rivisitare Barcellona.
Infine, il personale della reception è stato sempre disponibile per qualsiasi richiesta di informazione od altro.

Hotel sur La Rambla. en plus on a eu la chance d'avoir une chambre avec balcon sur la fameuse avenue alors comment se plaindre :)... Que demander de mieux lorsque l'on est à Barcelone ! Bon Ok niveau hotellerie on peut trouver mieux, mais c'est plus cher !! Bon rapport qualité prix globalement. On y était entre pote pour un enterrement de vie de garçon, si j'y retourne avec ma femme, j'essaierai probablement de trouver quelquechose de plus "romantique"...mais toujours dans le même quartier !

The double-room we had was clean and fairly comfortable despite its small size. The only problem was the "cleaning station" of sorts next to our door and the conversation noises of otherwise extremely nice and helpful cleaning ladies that we could hear every morning probably due very thin walls. BTW: our room windows were soundproof-quite an advantage when you choose to live on La Rambla!:)

The hotel was very close to tourist attractions and to the metro. The rooms were perfectly clean and the staff were very willing to help with any queries about our stay. giving us helpful tips about how to get around and which places are money saving and have good quality products. It was an amazing trip!!! :D

Ho apprezzato molto la pulizia delle camere e la posizione dell'ostello, molto comoda in quanto vicinissima alla fermata della metropolitana. Inoltre mi è piaciuto molto fare colazione sulla terrazza che si affaccia sulla Rambla. L'unica nota negativa che ho trovato è il bagno, a mio parere un po' piccolo. Nel complesso direi che l'impressione è stata comunque molto buona.

the mare nostrum exceeded expectations in every way possible except for the food, which wasn't particularly "bad", but simply average.
i'd definitely stay here again though as overall the place was pretty great.

Hotel confortable et très propre. Nous avions une chambre sur la Ramblas, vue magnifique, le bruit de la ville ne nous a pas gene. Situation idéale pour visiter la ville, station de métro juste en face de l'hotel et quel bonheur de se promener sur la Ramblas le soir sans avoir à prendre des transports.Je retournerai dans cet hotel volontiers

Very friendly and helpfull stuff!!
Clean, cozy hotel with perfect location in the middle of the center.
I did not like that the shower is in the room itself (just a cabine) therefore not very private if you are staying with someone in the room. Also the WC was way too small (airplane size). But the room itself was great and I heard one can actually ask for a room with normal WC and shower! I would also recommend the shared rooms, sicne the shared WC/shower is big, clean, and most of the time empty.
Next time I go to Barcelona I will surely stay again in this hotel!

Muy buena ubicación. Muy buen trato del personal. Desayuno suficiente.
Estaría bien que hubiera un armario cerrado en la habitación; al estar las perchas al aire da la sensación de comerse espacio y parece más pequeña.
Es una pena que haya que acceder desde la calle por escalera, pero no me importaría volver y se lo recomendaré a mis conocidos.

accueil très sympa, borne internet accès libre, petit déjeuner correct sans plus, chambres petites mais propres, insonorisation moyenne
petit hôtel très bien situé, proche de tous les commerces, la plupart des lieux touristiques sont accessibles à pied en moins de 10 minutes
inconvénient principal : le bruit car placé sur la rambla et au dessus d'un bar ouvert tard la nuit

The location is perfect -- right in thhe heart of Las Ramblas. I had a single room and could sit on the balconey and could watch everything happening on the street, however when I closed the window, I did not hear anything. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again on my net trip to Barcelona.

Fueron muy amables dejándonos aparcar la bicicleta allí todo el fin de semana además de la simpatía de todos los trabajadores del hotel. La limpieza muy bien y la distribución del espacio de la habitación aceptable para un par de noches. La ubicación del hostal es inmejorable.

we were vrt pleased with Mare Nostrum on our recent,May 2011, stay. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Front desk personnel very friendly and helpful. Especially , we needed our breakfast prior to their normal time, they were extremely accomondating. Location is best possible , right downtown with easy walking to everything and right by the city tour busses.

Hostel ideale per soggiorni brevi a Barcellona. Situato nel bel mezzo della rambla da cui non si sente nemmeno tantissimo rumore dal di sotto nonostante la vita caotica notturna. Colazione inclusa ed anche se non abbondantissima è giusta per affrontare le lunghe passeggiate.
Lo consiglio soprattutto ai ragazzi.

Genial zentrale Lage an der Rambla, direkt an der Metrostation Liceu.
Für die örtlichen Verhältnisse sehr preiswert! Frühstück war besser als erwartet. Zimmer und Bad klein, aber sauber. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wenn einen der Trubel der Rambla nicht stört, absolut empfehlenswert.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden - ein gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis - auch das Frühstück war ausreichend. Sauberkeit des Zimmers war gut - täglicher Wäschewechsel. Etwas störend war der Lärm der Besoffenen im Nachbarzimmer, die die Nacht durchgefeiert haben. Dies hätte man bei der Nähe zur Ramblas auch woanders tun können. Auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen.

Great hostal... Right in the middle of Las Ramblas. Walking distance to many places. Great breakfest and services. There´s a lift but you need use stairs to get in the main lobby, so take it easy on luggage. I would stay for sure at mare nostrum again!!

Me pareció un sitio perfecto para pasar un fin de semana. Está muy céntrico, los balcones nos daban directamente a La Rambla, la limpieza y la atención con que se nos acogió fueron estupendas. Disponíamos de acceso a internet, y el desayuno, tb con vistas a la Rambla, muy completo y perfecto. Un fin de semana con las amigas inolvidable.

Die Lage ist für eine Stadtbesichtigung ideal. Zentral gelegen etwa in der Mitte der Rambla, so daß die wichtigsten Punkte gut zu erreichen sind. Wir haben am nächsten Tag eine Kreuzfahrt unternommen und auch zum Hafen war es nicht weit und gut zu erreichen. Frühstück war ebenfalls für ein südliches Land reichlich. Zimmer/Bad waren sauber und OK. Zwei Nachteile: Den Lift gibt es erst ab der 1. Etage und es ist sehr mühsam das Gepäck bis dorthin zu tragen. Die Wasserleitungen sehr laut! Für einen Kurzaufenthalt aber bei dem Preis zu ertragen!
Alles in allem ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Extrem gute Lage, direkt auf der La Ramblas. Zimer sind sauber und ok. Wir hatten eine interessante "Dusche", war aber trotzdem ok. Nette und hilfsbereite Leute an der Rezeption. Das Frühstück ist auch ausreichend. Für einen Kurztrip nach Barcelona ist das Hostal ideal (günstig und gute Lage). Wir kommen gerne wieder.

I was delighted. It was the second time in this hostal. I had the same double room as last time looking onto the Ramblas. The whole staff was ready to help when I needed it, and very pleasant. The room might be a little small, but having breakfast included in the price was a real plus.The hostal is ideally situated in the centre of town, and next to a Tube station
