Extremely helpful and friendly staff, an easy walk to Parque Guell or the subway stop Lesseps, super clean rooms, and places to eat nearby!

Really enjoyed our stay! Only complaint - the air conditioning is difficult to use and seemed to have a mind of its own, coming on in the middle of the night, etc.

it is definately worth booking Hostal Barcelona City North if you want no frills, very clean and quiet place to stay in Barcelona. The street outside is extremaly quiet and quite difficult to find but ask for directions- locals and the hostal staff are sooo nice and helpful. On arrival you will be given a map and can ask as many questions concerning sightseeing in Barcelona and outside as you wish. The hostal itself has a kitchen- living room with microwave, fridge, vending machine,plates and cutlery and a computer with the internet access. It is cleaned every day. I was very happy with my stay, encountered no problems whatsoever and would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to lovely Barcelona!

Fundamental tranasaction for me , such as internet acceess ,on line receipt issue, access route information and this questionnaire is properly showed to me for relatively reasonable room pricing. Guy who met at my arrival was friendly and flexibly doing with the issues. I wish I were showed there is no shampoo in shower room and map/information of the neighbour grocery store.

The staff were extremely helpful in suggesting places to go and things to do. The room was ideal and in a really lovely, quiet area of Barcelona but with easy transport links to the centre of town in about 10 mins. Also there is a lovely tapas bar opposite and a cafe selling delicious croissants around the corner. All in all a lovely place to stay and relax after a hectic day in Barcelona! I would fully reccommend it to anybody.

The Hostal Barcelona City North is a really nice place to stay and I was totally satisfied. The room was huge and equipped with everything necessary. The personal (one friendly, young girl) was very kind and helpful. The environment was nice, too. The only negative aspect was that it was a little bit hard to find the Hostal because just a small door bell panel refers to the City North.

The room was clean and good enough to stay for few days in BCN. Only thing I missed was a fridge. At night there was quite a noise, someone was screaming and clinging long time (probably forgotten key).

Just a few words to tell you that from next week, in order to many guest suggestions, CITY NORTH -apart form the vengind machine- will have a fridge (only for little things of food) in the common area. Nice clean room, friendly reception. I had noticed comments on the web about noise levels. Inside the hostal it was very quiet,even though it was full. It is mostly noise from the bins in the street below the windows that I noticed. Kettle in the room and free internet was good. One thing I would have liked was a hook and shelf in the shower room. The hostel is only a few minutes walk from the metro so access to all parts of the city is easy. I would recommend the hostel to you and I would certainly stay here if I vist again David.

Nice clean room, fresh towels every day. Friendly staff. Good location, 10 minutes from nearest underground station. Quite noisy though, due to the bins being emptied outside at night.

Als erstes ein riesiges Kompliment an die Belegschaft. Sie waren immer präsent und haben einen geholfen. Großes Lob! Das Zimmer war sehr groß, sehr sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Da das Ho(s)tel in einer Seitenstrasse liegt, hört man abends den Straßenlärm nicht. Ein wichtiger Aspekt in Barcelona. Ich kann das Barcelona City Hostel jeden nur empfehlen.

The hostel is very clean, modest in furniture but covers most essentials. Overall, the best deal in Barcelona. Location is ok, in walking distance to Gracia, far from the noise of the Ramblas. They provide dishes so that you can have breakfast. One PC at the entrance gives you free internet, also the have free wireless. There is a large shared fridge for your food. I do not thing it would be easy to get a better place for that money (or even a little more). Only two comments of things to improve: Room 9 needs better wireless connectivity (the signal was weak). Also, the place does not offer shampoo or shower gel (If not provided it could be nice to mention it explicitly upon arrival).

Stanza tripla abbastanza piccola e poco arredata, in compenso bagno spazioso, anche se si sente la mancanza di punti d'appoggio. Tutto sommato per pochi giorni ci si può adattare. La zona ci è sembrata tranquilla e la stazione della metropolitana non è così lontana. Personale molto disponibile e simpatico. Grazie
