comments Nothing wrong with the hotel but it felt more suited to business guests. No real facilities, e.g. no gym or pool and the bar closed promptly at 11pm. Would I stay here again? Only if there was a good offer on the room rate as it's expensive for what it is. Obviously Spanish star ratings are different to those in the UK and I don't believe this wouldn't be 4* in Britain. How did it feel? Like a slightly upmarket Travelodge/Premier Inn.

comments The reception staff were very friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will certainly use this hotel again. The breakfast was plentiful and hotel and room very clean.

comments I had a great time in Barcelona and the staff at the reception desk were lovely, always helpful and very knowledgeable of the immediate area and surrounding city. The room was clean, well designed and very comfortable. I will definitely stay at Ayre Gran Via again in the future.

comments No slipper, No electric kettle with a 4 star hotel were a bit disappointing. Rather than those, the staffs had been very kind and location is superb. I would definately recommend this hotel.

comments Las habitaciones pueden mejorarse. Faltan cajones en las mesillas de noche y en general sitios para dejar las cosas. El WC es demasiado alto y resulta incómodo. No se nos informó de cómo acceder a Internet a nuestra llegada, lo cual en mi opinión es fundamental para facilitar la estancia al cliente.

comments The room had view at Gran Via blvd and it was some noise. The magnetic cards for the door didn't work very well. Some of the room furniture wasn't in the best shape. The wifi service wasn't activated by default. Overall services were good and the staff were very kind.

comments Personnel très serviable, agréable et acceuillant. hôtel calme, propre. Seuls, bémols, l'espagne touchée par la crise, l'hôtel a procédé à des restrictions sur prestations telles que le déjeuner, qui au mois d'avril était plus copieux. Le tarif déjeuner n'a plus forcément l'équilibre rapport qualité/prix. et dernière remarque c'est un peu dommage que le français ne soit pas parlé.

comments Hotel muy centrico, proximo a la plaza España, a un centro comercial, a la parada del metro y del bus que te lleva al aeropuerto. Es un hotel con habitaciones bien decoradas, con un aire moderno y muy práctico. Buena relacion calidad-precio, aunque no es barato.

comments El hotel es magnífico. Su atención en la recepción es especialmente atenta, ya que me facilitaron direcciones de cines de alrededor para ver una película, y eso es de mucho agradecer. Como único elemento negativo mencionar que una de las toallas estaba rota y no daba la imagen que se corresponde con este gran hotel.

comments Overall, the hotel and the stay were very good. The hotel is in good condition, the staff professional and friendly. Making the reservation was easy. We booked 3 rooms, one of them with an extra bed, all were ready for us as asked. The Breakfast was a nice surprize. It is better than most in the 4 star hotel category - rich and good quality. The espresso coffee was a very welcome surprize, upgrading every breakfast. The rooms were nice and large enough. Every room had a mini refrigerator with complimentary water - very useful and fair. The only reasons making our stay less than perfect were the weak air conditioning in two of the rooms, and the fact that the maintenance team could not handle the digital TV setup: in one room some channells had English soundtrack, so our children could see films and TV series. In other rooms the soundtrack was set on Spanish (dubbing for the films). The overall value was excellent: the service good, the rooms good, the breakfast good, location excellent, while the price was moderate comparing to other similar hotels. I would stay again at this hotel if traveling again to Barcelona.

comments Dear Sir or Madam, I am very dissatisfied with my stay at your hotel (room 521). Given the price (194 € for one night), I expected very high standards of service and luxury. On the contrary, I found: - very 'standard' front desk / lobby service during the day, without soul or dedication - I asked for a room with exterior view, but could not get one at 1:30 PM, even insisting at reception - no toilet brush in the room bathroom - no tissues in the room or bathroom - imperfect ceiling finitions in the room bathroom - rays on the wood of the room door, corridor and closet - minibar empty, except for water + fridge light broken - bathroom not perfectly clean at two places: bottom of the glass panel on bath tub, and bathroom door - air conditioning stopping every time the key is removed - the room can never be at the right temperature when getting back into the room - in the printer of the 'business center' (first floor), only 3 pages of paper remaining and low levels of ink (both black and colour). Is someone regularly checking, or just waiting that clients inform you? - Most importantly, at the end of the afternoon I asked for a wake-up call at 8:30 PM to the receptionist girl, who confirmed, and no one called me. I thus was 2 hours late to a dinner party (the very reason for my overnight stay) because of this miss! This was my first stay at an Ayre hotel, and the delivered service was way below my expectations. For all these reasons, I wish to have the price of my stay substantially reduced or reimbursed.
