	we stayed for one night break .it was very relaxing we went for dinner in rest downstairs food was great .it was good value for your money staff were very freindly .our room was comfertable and clean as well as the bathroom the morning staff were greatwe orderd breakfast and were shown round i would recommend this hotel

	A wee gem of a place. Okay its not in Troon but its amere stones throw away. Cracking restaurant and the food was great, lots of locals in at lunchtime and in the evening - which speaks volumes.

	Excellent small hotel. Rooms are clean, bright and everything worked. Water and fruit in the room. Great connectivity for all media gadgets together with free wifi. Food very good with a busy bar and restaurant. Service couldn't be faulted. Great value for money. I will definitely stay here again.

	Old Loans Inn is an Oasis of relaxation. From the friendly staff and service to the comfortable bedrooms,Old Loans ticks all the boxes. An added bonus is it's closeness to Troon which is within easy walking distance. We will certainly be returning for future visits as well as recommending it to our friends and family. Tom Houston

Beautiful contemporary hotel. Our room was very spacious and overlooked the rear car park. The bathroom has a great double choice shower, lovely fittings and toiletries. We had a meal in the restaurant on our first night and were pleased with both the food and the service. Drinks are a little overpriced but I suppose you expect that in some hotels. The cold breakfast is superb with a good selection of fruit, yoghurts, meats and cheese. Self-service toast. The cooked breakfast was perfectly adequate, be careful ordering the kippers, you get a LARGE portion. Only disappointment with breakfast was the lack of haggis. The nearest sign of life is in Troon which is a good 45 minute walk but there is a good taxi service available. We had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Our stay was made even better as we also got a late bargain too!!

This was our first stay at The Old Loans inn on the recommendation from a friend who had previously stayed with you, can I say that EVERYTHING was First Class just as our friend described it would be. if I were to be over critical we found the room to be VERY warm and could not find anyway of reducing the temperature apart from opening the window and door WE WILL BE BACK and will tell our friends Thank you Anne/Jim Houlihan

	Rooms were well appointed, comfortable and quiet. The modernization of the Inn makes the rooms comparable to a first class hotel in an urban center. The restuarant also serves ecdellent food at a reasonable price. Well located for golf adventures. I would highly recommend it.

The old loans inn was a pleasant surprise. We were expecting a fairly average b&b for the price but were met with an extremely modern, well presented hotel quality experience. The room was larger than expected and the en suite bathroom nicer than my own at home. On top of this the staff were polite, efficient and prompt at dealing with requests. In summary I would be happy recommending old loans inn to friends and family, and would no hesitate to stay there again in the future

I stayed here for the first time, normally stay at Troon Marine, not any more. Will come to you from now on, on a down side, went for evening meal, pre paid, and was met at dining room door by one of the younger girls, who said there were plenty of seats in the bar. I was alone and felt that I would be taking up a table in the busy dining room, I told her that I wished to eat with other guests in the dining room (company) but again, she tried to get me into the empty bar area with no company. I insisted on the dining room and was finally, pushed into a seat. Did not feel 100% happy, but the excellent food made up for it. A little comment to the younger ones on the feelings of sole travellers might help. Again, it did not spoil my stay and I will be back.

	Toaster at breakfast had only one side working whihc meant on Sunday when it was very busy we couldnt have any with breakfast, also rooms were very warm at night, room service tray charge is expensive compared to other hotels, overall it is a lovely hotel and would stay agin if visiting Troon

The room and hotel themselves were lovely and clean, although we were disappointed with a couple of things. Our room was directly on the main road. The weather was very warm and with no air conditioning we had to have the windows open at all times. This meant that we were woken early by lots if traffic noise. Another disappointment was the fact that the bathrobes thy I had ore booked and pre paid for were not in the room. I made a call to reception but it took over an hour for them to arrive. One peculiar thing was that in the evenings the cold water from the tap was rather warm sorry to add another moan but the fact that we were on the road side meant that when getting ready the blind had to remain firmly closed, which blokes out all light from outside. My girlfriend found this a bit if an annoyance when getting ready having paid full price via your own website, we were left feeling quite disappointed with our stay.

Arrived at the Old Loans Inn early and were told that our room wasn't ready yet, my face must have been a picture as we were attending a wedding and I still had to get ready! The girl on reception said immediately that she'd check to see when we could get into the room. Thankfully the room was ready and I could finish getting ready myself. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and the room was gorgeous, very well appointed, everything you could possibly need including a socket for your MP3 player to play through the TV. Bathroom was amazing and lots of lovely little touches, the toiletries were great. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, including quorn sausages which was a bit hit with me. My only gripe about the whole stay was that we had to leave sharpish to attend the wedding and didn't really get to enjoy the Old Loans Inn to our full advantage, having said that it's always and excuse to go back.

Pleasantly surprised on arrival, the Hotel is modern, fresh and very well decorated. The friendly receptionist was very helpful and welcoming. The room was very well appointed, comfortable and relaxing, with all the facilities provided. There is a Restaurant in the Hotel, which is the perfect setting for dinning, both indoor and outdoors and the service is very good, with attentive and friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, only wish it could have been longer. Would recommend this Hotel and as a bonus the lovely town of Troon is nearby.

	accomadation was excellent and of a very high standard- Breakfast was top class but quantity of fruit available such as grapefruit could be increased. The Kippers were the best. Like all hotels while fan helped air circulation most need airconditioning with the increase in summer temperatures and humidity. I shall be back.FJW

	We weren't having dinner in the restaurant but had a bar lunch. The food was excellent but thought it was a bit much to charge £2.25 for a side of fries which basically came on a plate the size of a saucer! Not even a side plate! Quality of food excellent, just think some prices could be reviewed.

	Very nice place to stay. Food and rooms were good, relaxing setting with outdoor sitting areas. Only thing stopping me giving a 5 was the heat, it was stifling both in the room and in parts of the building. Will use again or maybe try their other hotel.

I recently stayed at Old Loans Inn as I was attending a friends wedding in a nearby hotel. I was pleasantly surprised on our arrival. We booked a double deluxe room and the room we stayed in was just that. It was modern, clean and well presented. The bathroom was great and even had a spa bath. Breakfast was included in the very reasonable price and was delicious. This hotel offers excellent value for money and we will definately be visiting again.

	Very friendly efficient staff - very good breakfast the smoked salmon was exceptional, dinner - very good menu and superbly cooked and so nice that local produce was used where possible - rooms extremely comfortable - we stayed for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. 	Great accommodation and excellent value for money. The food was very plain and overpriced - tasted like it was straight from the freezer via the microwave.

	Would definately stay here again. The rooms were modern clean and spacious. breakfast well cooked and presented. We had Dinner one evening and it was very good with plenty of choice. Staff helpful and very friendly. Good value for money

	had a great time. Room was fantastic and very spacious. Had difficulty with how to work jacuzzi, would benefit from instruction in the room with regards this and the media centre, although reception staff were very quick to help out. Had a delicious meal in the resturant and well recommended when staying there. Will definately book again.

	Excellent hotel, £50 for myself and wife bed and brekfast. Lovely room with jacuzzi and their is also acsess to the roof terrace. Lovely fresh breakfast also

	Was really happy with stay, room was clean and food excellent, although waitress was rude at dinner. All other staff members were very pleasant, just a shame about her attitude as it would have been a perfect break otherwise.

	Beautifully refurbished hotel. Warm and very friendly and helpful staff. Spotlessly clean throughout. Very well appointed rooms with all accessories required and very large and comfortable beds. Full breakfast was very good.Excelent hotel in every way. Recommended without hesitation.

	Possibly the nicest independent hotel we have staying in. Lovely room, lovely bathing facilities, very pleasant staff and lovely food. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the Old Loans Inn. We could not fault it in any way. The staff were all fantastic, really welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The standard room was stunning with a fabulous bathroom. The breakfasts are cooked to order and were wonderful. We ate in the restaurant once in the evening and had a wonderful meal. You must try the Cullen Skink, we have never tasted better than this one! The food is delicious and beautifully presented. We will definitely return to this hotel, it is faultless and a real little gem. Well done.

	It was a beautiful hotel with lovely rooms. very comfortable and friendly. food was great. bar area and restuarant very nice. only bad comment was that the restuarant was very busy on Saturday night and we had to wait over an hour for our meal. we were there for 2 nights and would definitely go back.. we have recommended it to our friends.

	Between booking my room & arriving at the Old Loans Inn I broke my ankle. Their response was BRILLIANT. I was transferred to the disabled room at no extra charge & given all the assistance that I required at breakfast, before I had to ask. I stayed at two other places during this time and the Old Loans Inn was at the very top of the list.

	I had a wonderful stay! My welcome was very friendly, infact all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. My room was really lovely, nice attention to detail! All the fixtures and fittings were modern & fresh and beyond my expectations! I ate in the bar and the food was lovely, as was breakfast in the morning. Overall I was extreamly pleased with my stay and would love to go back!

I was very pleasantly surprized and impressed with the Old Loans Inn. The hotel has just been refurbished so everything was new and it was spotlessly clean. The room had certain features as standard which other hotels of similar rating and cost only have as extra. These included iron/ironing board, video out jack onto the flat TV screen, usb ports in the wall which I used to charge my mobile phone and internet without any fuss picked by my wireless antenna straight away. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful but what topped everything was the staff. Very friendly and accomodating, a good advert for Scottish hospitality. We arrived very late but although the bar was already closed, the genleman still served my son and I a drink to quench our thirst. I see a lot of hotel rooms due to travelling in the course of my work and I have to say, very rarely get this impressed. I will definitely go back.

	The room itself was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. With regard to the food in the restaurant again I can say that the taste, presentation and staff were excellent. Although issued with an electric fan I found the room quite warm with no thermostat control.
