comments Don't have anything to say about my stay as I didn't stay. I made the booking online and then received an email to say there was an error and the hotel was fully booked on the date I had selected. I emailed back asking about the fee taken at the time of booking over the internet which is usually non-refundable but have heard nothing further. I am therefore £7.70 out of pocket and didn't get to stay at the hotel. I won't be rushing to make another booking as they have not had the courtesy of getting back to me regarding this booking.

comments We came to Granton in our caravan this year and ate both nights at the Garth Hotel. It was so good that we came from Aberdeen and this time stayed the night in the hotel and had another excellent meal. Rooms were lovely too but just got a bit cold through the night but the extra blankets and heater did the trick.

comments Lovely room with bay window overlooking the gardens, very clean & comfortable. Excellent Restaurant with wide choice of menu for both Breakfast and Dinner. Staff were helpful, pleasant & gave good service in restaurant. Would certainly recommend a stay at the Garth Hotel.

comments The rooms were very comfortable and the food excellent and value for money. Initially we were offered room 15 which is right next to the kitchen extractor and makes a load continuous buzzing noise. We were moved to another room which was next to the road but still very quiet.

comments Very attractively furnished bedrooms and spotlessly clean. Our evening meal was delicious (the good reviews on Trip Advisor are well deserved). The public rooms, although absolutely fine in terms of cleanliness, presentation etc, could probably do with an update/refurbishment when this is possible.

comments Down side was I was never asked to sign for anything eaten or drank at the bar so was concerned. My fears weren't for nothing as I would of been charged for dinner and wine for my two night stay. When we had opted for a night out for our second night. Apart from that it was wonderful. Cosy, clean, quite, had everything we required. The rooms have modern tasteful decor and the location is super right across the road from the golf course and museum as well as lovely walks all sign posted really well from the information point at the square. Thank you for a warm welcome. This hotel was recommended by a friend and I would recommend it to anyone. Please ask about access and rooms if you are disabled as being an old house with lots of history it is all on different levels very characteristic.

comments Very comfortable accommodation, clean and well presented. Very pleasant, helpful staff. We both enjoyed our dinner, though menu could have been more focused on the excellent local produce available and traditional styles of cooking.

comments Our stay at the Garth was very nice. The room exceeded our expectations and the girl who greeted us when we arrived (English girl with the blonde bob - sorry didn't catch her name) was lovely and very welcoming. The only thing I would mark down was the evening meal. Although the service was good, the food itself was decidedly average. All in all though a great stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends and family.

comments Restaurant Staff worked very hard to give very good service. Room 7 was vunerable to traffic noise, suggest double-glazing? En suite was a little cramped. Hand basin could be smaller. TV set needs up-dating. Overall liked the individuality of the Hotel but some improvements would make it a cracking place to stay! Friendly staff make a positive bonus. Thank you.

comments Friendly staff and good service. Excellent service and breakfast served to order unlike Gleneagles buffet Much better. Huge bed in our comfortable spotless room. A real credit to the trade and our country as no foreigner could fail to be impressed. Only reason I did no give 5 stars is I did not use the restaurant and cannot rate it.
