My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. Apart from anything else, the location is fabulous. The view onto the lake is magnificent and we enjoyed going for walks everyday.
The food was fabulous and the staff were helpful. The breakfast is worthy of mention in particular. It was a three course breakfast - fruit, porridge and then a fry. The fry was really fresh will lovely haggis, black pudding and sausages - I really enjoyed it!
The room was warm and comfortable. We recently stayed in a four star hotel in London and the Hollytree was actually much more comfortable. The DVD service was handy as well. We enjoyed long evenings with wine and DVDs. My one criticism is that the photo of the swimming pool is slightly misleading on the website. It looks big enough to swim properly and the sauna looks quite large too. In actuality, the pool is too small in which to swim properly and the sauna is quite poky too. That's a very small quibble though. We only went to the pool once anyway. I would recommend the Hollytree - it gave us a lovely break.

My wife and I were celebrating our 3rd anniversary at Holly Tree Hotel and we found it better than we could have expected. The loch and mountain view from the rooms is incredible to wake up to every morning. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is award-winning and you could tell. We had chosen this particular hotel for its swimming pool/sauna and competitive price as well as the look of the rooms on the photos. I have already been recommending the Holly Tree to my friends!

This was my second visit to the Holly Tree Hotel. It is an deal stopver en route to more northern destinations. The big attraction for me is the seafood.
