Los Choiques Hostel offers a cozy atmosphere, surrounded by warm and helpful staff. The hostel is run by the owners, who will do their very best to satisfy all your needs.The Hostel offers rooms with 4 to 6 beds (to share, individual bathrooms) and is situated only two blocks from the beach and four blocks from downtown.

Puerto Madryn has an strategic location that allows it to be the greatest service centre of the 'Patagonian Coast' (Costa Patagonica) and the entrance to the 'Valdes Peninsula' (Peninsula Valdes) which was declared a Natural World Heritage by UNESCO in 1999.

Puerto Madryn is a seashore city, with a wide variation between day and night temperatures. For Summer Season: it is advisable to pack light clothes, bathing suit, sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable footwear and a few sweaters or light jacket for the night. For Winter Season: warm clothes are essential, such as sweaters or an anorak, cap, scarf and gloves.

• Diving: Puerto Madryn is the argentinean Capital for Scuba Diving due to its highly transparent waters and abundant sea fauna.
• Snorkeling: available at Punta Este, Kaiser, Cerro Avanzado and Puenta Cuevas.
• Trekking: available Punta Loma fauna reserve is ideal for trekking lovers.

Attractions:

• Valdes Peninsula (Peninsula Valdes): Whale Watching. During the Whale Season from June to December, the whales can be frequently spotted from the coast and their characteristic sounds heard at night.
• Punta Tombo: Its a 'Penguin Wildlife Reserve', that offers the unique chance of walking among the penguin community, observing their activity, watching their pompous stride, learning how they build their nests and raise their young ones among the bushes, and admire their swimming.
• Gaiman: Welsh Sea. The name means 'stone point' or 'whetstone'. This place is very well-known for the authentically traditional 'Welsh Tea', prepared according to an ancient recipe that gives it, the unique flavour and perfume.
• Doradillo Beach (Playa Doradillo): the main attraction is the shore-based watching of Southern Right Whales (Eubalaena australis) that gather there every year between June and October.
• Rawson: Tonina watching. It was the first urban centre of the Welsh rural colony formed on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in the late 19th century.

How to get there:

• From the Bus Station: Los Choiques Hostel is 7 blocks from the Bus Station, (10 minutes walking). You can take a taxi from the 'Bus Station', keep the receipt, and you will be reimbursed at the reception.
• The bus companies are: 28 de Julio, Andesmar, Central Argentino, Don Otto, El Condor, El Ñandu, El Pingüino, Mar y Valle, QueBus, Ruta Patagonia, TAC and TUS.
• From Puerto Madryn Airport: Minibus service available.
• By Car: From Buenos Aires (North) or Rio Gallegos (South), you can take the National Route number 3.
• From Lago Puelo, take the Provintial Route number 4.
• From Esquel, take the Provintial Route number 25.

Payment Policy:
Deposit and booking fee are NON-refundable. After making the booking, the hostel will contact you, to ask you for another 10% before arrival. Los Choiques Hostel does not accept credit cards.
