Hotel Castelar is also known by many Celebrities. Since the hotel opened its doors in November, 1929, many artists have visited and stayed in this Hotel. Some famous guests include: - Federico Garcia Lorca: Spanish poet and dramatist killed by Nationalistic citizens at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War (Guerra Civil Espanola). Garcia Lorca was originally from Granada, Andalucia, and spent some time at the Castelar Hotel.

Local Attractions: - Post Palace (Palacio de Correos): it was inaugurated in 1928 and is the best example of Classical French Style.
- May Square (Plaza de Mayo): it was founded in 1580. It is located in front of Casa Rosada.
- Metropolitan Cathedral (Catedral Metropolitana): Rococo and Baroque style. It is located in the corner of Rivadavia Avenue (Avenida Rivadavia) and San Martin.
- Parque de la Costa: located in Tigre, you can take the Train de la Costa to get there. The best amusement park in Buenos Aires.
- Richmond Cafe: enjoy the afternoon teas in this classic place. Inaugurated in 1917. You can play chess, backgammon or pool at the basement.
- Tango National Academy (Academia Nacional de Tango): above the famous Cafe Tortoni.
Location: Castelar Spa & Hotel is located in the area called Microcentro. It is one of the busiest areas in Capital Federal. How to get there: From Ezeiza International Airport 'Ministro Pistarini' (EZE): Located 35-km/ 21 miles from the city centre. The Airport has 2 terminals: - Terminal A: for Aerolineas Argentinas only.
- Terminal B: for all other airlines and for the very few domestic flights that operate from this airport.
The 2 terminals are close together and linked by a covered walkway. By Bus: Manuel Tienda Leon Bus runs every 30 minutes to Retiro Bus Station (near Retiro Train Station). From Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP)/ Domestic Airport: Located 3-km/ 2 miles from the city centre. The Airport has one long terminal with a service road and a main road at the front. Manuel Tienda Leon buses depart from the service road and public buses from bus shelters on the main road.
